Is your child likely to start school in 2017?

Windermere are running school skills Information sessions to help ensure the whole family is prepared for the transition into prep. Facilitated by Simone Waterman (Early Childhood Intervention Teacher), the program will run over 6 sessions covering the following topics: • T hursday 3rd March – Exploring the concept of School Ready

When: Thursdays 3rd March, 5th May, 16th June, 28th July, 8th September & 3rd November

Time:

6.45pm - 8.15pm

Location:

• T hursday 5th May – Exploring different funding models, testing eligibility and how disbursed.

Toomah Community Centre 18 Golden Green Street, Pakenham

• T hursday 16th June – Getting close to the final choice: Mainstream school, Specialist School or a second year at kinder.

Cost:

• T hursday 28th July - A Parents perspective: Tips and tricks to navigate the journey to school • T hursday 8th September – School skills for home – Practical activities for families and children in the lead up to school.

Free for Windermere Early Childhood Development Service clients. $20 for families eligible for ECIS and $25 for professionals. Please note: Child minding services are not available

• T hursday 3rd November – Transition to school – Preparation for sharing all the good stuff
