Kirkland’s many neighborhoods include Bridle Trails, Central Houghton, Everest, Evergreen Hill, Finn Hill, Highlands, Juanita, Kingsgate, Lakeview, Market, Moss Bay, Northeast, Norkirk, North Rose Hill, South Rose Hill, and Totem Lake.

KIRKLAND transportation
Kirkland has a relatively low Walkscore.com rating, with 49, meaning most errands will require the use of a car of bicycle. However, some neighborhoods, like Downtown, Houghton, and Juanita, have significantly higher walkscores. Both Metro and Sound Transit bus systems run through Kirkland, including the 236, 238, and 245 bus lines. Though the East Link Sound Transit expansion doesn’t have a course through Kirkland, it will have nearby stations in Redmond, Overlake, and Bellevue. Sound Transit is in the planning stages of the I-405 Bus Rapid Transit, which will connect Burien, up the eastside through Bellevue and Kirkland, and on to Lynnwood and Shoreline. Kirkland benefits from easy access to both Interstate-405 with North-South access along the Eastside corridor and 520 to Seattle and Redmond.
