Our island is part of the Kitsap Peninsula, which sits in the heart of Puget Sound, nestled between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. Kitsap County was formed in 1857 and was named after Chief Kitsap of the Suquamish the Tribe. Kitsap’s Native American, Scandinavian, military, and pioneer attractions are all within an hour’s drive.

With 32 miles of trails and over 1,600 acres of parkland to enjoy, there's natural beauty all around us.

Island Neighborhoods

Whether you're looking for a waterfront retreat, a condo downtown, or a home on acreage, Bainbridge Island has it all Rolling Bay, Winslow, and Lynwood Center are the economic centers across Bainbridge, and there are a variety of neighborhoods to explore Here's a glimpse of each area

Central Island

Home to downtown Winslow, and the ferry to Seattle, central Bainbridge is the bustling hub of the island Along with Winslow's excellent restaurants, shops, and art galleries, you can visit Wing Point Golf & Country Club, or one of our many parks or trails

Neighborhoods include the Winslow area, Manitou Beach, Murden Cove, Fletcher Bay, and Wing Point

North Island

The northern part of Bainbridge Island is connected to the rest of the Kitsap Peninsula via Agate Pass Bridge. This area is home to the Bloedel Reserve, Fay Bainbridge Park, Port Madison Yacht Club, Meadowmeer Golf & Country Club, and Battle Point Park.

Neighborhoods include Agate Point, Port Madison, Manzanita Bay, and Rolling Bay.

With excellent sun exposure and Tudorstyle Lynwood Center, the southern area of the island has its own unique charm It features Historic Lynwood Theatre, Pleasant Beach Village, and Fort Ward State Park

Neighborhoods include Crystal Springs, Point White, Rockaway Beach, Port Blakely, the Lynwood Center area, and Fort Ward

The Kitsap Peninsula has over 370 miles of shoreline and is a popular destination for water-based activities.
