Hot in the Hunter | Ancient Treasures of Times Past
Nestled on the banks of the Hunter River, situated in the Lower Hunter Valley, just 40 minutes east of Pokolbin, is the historic town of Morpeth.
Founded in 1821, an inland port on the southern banks of the Hunter River, Morpeth is a town of exceeding loveliness and well worth the journey. Amongst the many things to see and do, a must-visit is the Morpeth Antique Centre, located within the iconic Campbells Store.
Housing the ancient treasures of times past, the Antique Centre has everything, from vinyl records to nautical and industrial tools to bric-abrac and toys.
The servant's quarters have been converted into a tea room where you can take the opportunity to recharge, grab a coffee (or tea), a delicious bite to eat and continue with your shopping. Morpeth Antique Centre is open Thursday through to Sunday between 10am and 5pm.
