Anderson Winery | 2022 Belle A beautifully pink expression of Shiraz and Durif. Made like a dry white wine, these red grapes have been harvested early to make a zingy and refreshingly dry wine reminiscent of raspberry, pomegranate & ruby grapefruit. A perfect match with fresh seafood or pâté. Or just on its own on a warm afternoon!

SMALL BATCH ROSE 2023 THE STORY After numerous false starts Rose has finally gained a hold in the hearts of Australian wine drinkers. It's a style that works perfectly in Rutherglen's continental climate, and with its abundance of spicy fruit flavours, Grenache is the ideal variety to utilise.

THE FRUIT 100% Grenache from the Parola's vineyard.

GROWING 2023 was one of the wettest vintages on record, and in many ways a forgettable year for Warrabilla. The exceptions are the handful of early picked styles we produced including Riesling, Grenache and some parcels of Shiraz.

WINEMAKING

THE NUMBERS

A dedicated Rose style, harvested in the early morning and whole bunch pressed to preserve aromatics and delicate fruit flavours.

Harvest: March 2023 pH: 3.14 TA: 7.10g/l Alcohol: 13.0%

Inoculated with a Rose specific yeast strain to further lift the aromatic profile, and left on solids for five monts to develop creamy mid palate texture

TASTING NOTE Bright in every aspect. A vivid fuscia colour, with lifted red berry aromatics of just ripe strawberry, cherry and red currant rising form the glass. The mid palate combines Grenache's natural spicy texture, and a little 'strawberries and cream' confection, balanced by faintly bitter amaro herbs. Long and luminous through the finish, with cleansing natural acidity. An incredibly versatile food wine matching with everything from charcuterie, to flash fried calamari, and light Tempura dishes.

CELLARING POTENTIAL

Not far from the mountains, where the Murray still runs deep and clear, is a great curve in the river. Planted here is our vineyard where gnarled old vines send their roots deep into the rose-coloured sandy soils. Premium wines have been made and enjoyed here at St Leonards Vineyard since 1860.

The 2021 Rosé was made from Shiraz, which adds juicy fruit and is lovely on the palate of this dry aromatic Rosé style.

Not a wine for the cellar, just enjoy it served chilled over the warmer months.

THE WINE Rosé is the perfect drink for the warm afternoons and balmy evenings of spring and summer. A seductive pink colour, it is beautifully refreshing, with soft berry fruit and lovely spice aromatics with a crisp, clean dry finish.

WINEMAKING “Proper” Rosé is made by macerating red grapes for a short period before pressing and fermenting the pink juice. For the 2021 Rose, the Shiraz was macerated on skins for one hour before being pressed out and fermented. The wine was fermented in stainless steel to preserve the lovely fresh fruit characters, and then bottled on Wednesday 28th July, 2021.

FOOD MATCHING This is a perfect drink for warm afternoons and balmy evenings, enjoyed with antipasto, salads and even pizza! Serve it chilled and enjoy the wonderful berry and spice aromas and flavours and beautifully crisp, refreshing finish.

Scion | Rosé 2023 Scion's signature rosé is dry, delicate and savoury. Made from earlyseason, handpicked Durif. Wild fermented. Refreshing with delicate red summer berries, fine texture and a savoury finish. Sip poolside with charcuterie or light seafood.

Pfeiffer Wines | 2023 Ensemble Rose The Pfeiffer Ensemble Rose is an ensemble of fully ripened red grape variees, le on their skins overnight to extract a litle colour from each of the 4 red variees with a tough of florals from Rutherglen's Frongnac. It has flavour, rose pink colour and a palate of “off dry,” (not bone dry but not sweet either,) red fruit characters that will delight. Chill and enjoy. Before you know it, the Rose in your glass has evaporated and then you must be careful, because the Rose in the botle will just disappear. Evaporaon isn’t the reason.

The Real Review 2022 Jones Winery Rose

Huon Hooke

95/100

Pale coral pink hue; savoury bouquet with a note of barrel-fermentation, nutty/toasty and buttery traces, quite complex. This wine is dry and savoury yet soft and smooth on the tongue, with refinement, line and length. A very stylish and more-ish ros? Delicious. 23 AUG 2023

2022 All Saints Estate Rosa The Range All Saints Estate is heritage listed with a unique footprint in Australian wine history. Our premium Estate wines nurtured from hallmark regional varieties are balanced and modern in style, expressing a true sense of place. Handcrafted in the original winery deep inside the castle, techniques will often include gentle basket pressing, open fermentation and quiet ageing in French and American oak. The Wine Our 2022 All Saints Estate Rosa has the colour of a light pink rose petal. On the nose, it’s all strawberries and cream (as you hope), but there’s also a touch of musk and orange peel - surprisingly complex aromatics which carry through to the palate with a zesty, dry finish. The name Rosa honours our maternal Grandmother, who made mean scones and was handy at a game of cards with her friends. She would have enjoyed this wine with them. Grape Variety 2022 Rosa is made from 50% Sangiovese (Myrtleford, Alpine Valley) and 50% Estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon (Rutherglen). Cabernet Sauvignon adds fresh berry aromas and flavours, while the Sangiovese contributes savoury notes that carry through to the finish. Winemaking The 2022 vintage, a cooler-than-usual year, might be winemaker Nick Brown’s best expression of Rosa ever (his words). Following the traditional French process for Rosé making, our Sangiovese (50%) and Estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) were macerated on skins for just one hour before being pressed out. The wine was then fermented in stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit characteristics and bottled. Food Matching Rosa is highly versatile, but our best advice is to serve it chilled on a picnic rug with a quality baguette and artisan cheeses. Salads, light white meats, or seafood could also all work well. Or drink before food as the perfect summer aperitif.

2022 Rosè Vibrant & savoury. Strawberry, raspberry and guave notes with a crisp acidity.

750ml | 12.9% alc/vol | Vegan: No An elegant and savoury Rosé made from Portugese varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barocca. This wine shows exceptional balance of crisp acidity and complex flavours of strawberry and raspberry flan, guava and lemon souflè with a long creamy finish. To achieve the ideal level of complexity and balance, we chose three parcels of our Portuguese varieties to blend together. Touriga Nacional offers floral aromatics and an elegant blue fruit profile, Tinta Roriz provides palate depth and richness, and Tinta Barroca brings the other components together, rounding out the palate with soft tannins. Our 2022 Rosé is a very adaptable food wine that will suit a variety of dishes. Perfect with a smoked trout salad. Overall, this is a flavoursome and dry Rosé best served chilled. Drink young and fresh.

Chambers Rosewood Vineyards | 2022 Rose’ Notes of raspberry, cherry, and spice on the nose. Lively fresh fruity palate with a good mid-palate weight with a hint of sweetness. Shiraz, Mondeuse & Blue Imperial (Cinsault) grapes. Drink now style. Alcohol: 13.8% Standard Drinks: 8.2

Modern classic winery, with respect for tradition. Situated in the north-east corner of Victoria, it is one of the most progressive and diverse viticultural regions in Australia.

DE BORTOLI RUTHERGLEN ESTATE ROSÉ 2023 Variety Grenache, Shiraz Vineyard Our Grenache is grown at the De Bortoli Shelley’s vineyard on the eastern edge of the Rutherglen region. The site is east facing and produces a dry savoury Rosé wine with brightness and poise. Our Shiraz is from the Melvilles Vineyard, on a west facing slope. This block was picked early to capture fresh red berry characters. Season 2023 was a slightly cooler than average year without any extreme heat. Because of a very wet and stressful Spring, it was a difficult growing season. Fortunately post December the Summer became more normal. February and March dried out with ideal mild days which resulted in a fantastic year in Rutherglen for our white wines and Rosés. The season was three weeks later than average and we feel fortunate to have ended up with the wines we have in the cellar. Tasting Note Our dry style Rosé is made from a blend of Grenache and Shiraz grapes. The wine has inviting aromas of strawberries and cream. The palate is full of soft red berry flavours, with a hint of spiciness from the Grenache. Serve chilled to fully enjoy the rich blend of sweet berry fruit, pepper and spice. Wine Style Dry Rosé

Suggested Cuisine Ideal for a barbecue, and drinking with spicy food such as curries. Also good with ripe peaches. Very much a modern Rosé for contemporary food. General Characteristics Dry / Light bodied Additional Information Vegan, Vegetarian Winemaking After a short period soaking on skins at less than 10℃, the ‘pink’ juice is drained to capture the delicate, pretty, sweet fruit characters before any of the tannins have been extracted. The juice is then fermented using white winemaking techniques, with the two varieties made separately. Aromatic yeast selection and a cool fermentation temperature has produced a fruit driven wine which is representative of a style of Rosé from the Rutherglen region. 2023 ROSÉ Made with a field blend of Shiraz & Cinsaut sourced from our Single Vineyard where vines have grown since 1886. This is one of our oldest blocks with vines approaching 70 years in age, producing a lower yield of intensely flavoured fruit. The wine is rose pink in colour with characters of strawberry and turkish delight, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish. TERROIR Thousands of years ago the Murray River swept around the bank upon which the Lake Moodemere Vineyard lies. As the river changed its course it left a billabong, Lake Moodemere, in its wake. The sandy red loam soil, extending 12 feet below the surface, is a remnant of the original path of the Murray. The wind pattern rising up the bank from the water creates its own unique microclimate. The result is wine of distinct character displaying bold varietal fruit and soft, luxurious tannins.

Olive Hills Estate | Lila Rosé 2022 An elegant tribute to our third generation lovely little lady, Lila. The Lila Rosé is an oh-so-refreshing merlot blend with delicious aromatics of rose petals and her favourite summer fruits of watermelons and strawberries. Made for long warm sunny days! Enjoy this with our nearest and dearest
