At the time, we wanted to make a camper bodywork with a truly innovative feel compared to traditional ones, and a camper with a strong identity, as at the time campers were already all looking more or less similar. At Wingamm, we have never been fond of the aesthetics of bodywork with assembled panels and a very structured design. Wingamm campers were created with a fibreglass monocoque bodyshell and a dynamic and distinctive design that expresses all its personality without any compromises. We always wondered, “Why should our customers do without the safety, reliability, comfort and elegance that they chose for their homes and cars when they’re on holiday?” As a result, our constant research lead us to an innovative, bold style for which Wingamm would always be well known.

Since 1977, when we first ventured in to the world of recreational vehicles, we have always thought of campers as compact, slender, practical, safe vehicles for adventurous travellers fulfilling their desire to go off the beaten track and reach wonderful and untouched towns and places of interest on our planet. We never thought of making a camper with a ‘loft’ (overhead cab) acting as a sail to reduces the stability and safety of the vehicle on the road, and increasing fuel consumption. With the aim of making compact and convenient vehicles, whilst still having the necessary sleeping area(s), we immediately set about working on designing a drop-down bed that, by folding away into the ceiling, would not occupy the lounge during the day. Since 1977, our campers have been fitted as standard with DOUBLE DROPDOWN BED anchored to the front of the vehicle, above the driver’s cabin. The sound and stable framework consists of four levers operated by four 65 or 75 kg gas pistons (according to the model). It is really easy to use. You simply pull it down or push it up manually without having to operate hooks or latches. IT COMES WITH A 350 KG CAPACITY and this is our double bed that is always ready for use - you don’t have to make the bed and strip it every morning and evening. Sleeping bags, sheets, blankets and pillows always remain in place and are compressed against the ceiling when the bed is raised up. Once in the bed, the radial design of the monocoque body creates a generous amount of space so you can sit up without knocking your head, while the SkyView opening roof window provides plenty of ventilation to the area, and the LED lights make bedtime reading easier. It has a series of wooden slats and a comfortable memory foam mattress. From the drop-down bed you can reach for and open the side roof lockers. Why should the wall units move up and down together with the drop-down bed? T.HI.R.D. Hinges T.HI.R.D. HINGES Total Hidden Rotation Device In 2009 we decided it was time for a revolutionary idea! Our fibreglass monocoque bodywork, 100% waterproof, solid, sturdy, aerodynamic was no longer enough; it was time for a bold up-grade! The goal was to replace the old, dull conventional external doors made of aluminium and the entrance door (with their same old external frames, visible hinges and the same old generous amount of silicone, which would get dirty and go black after the first trip) with light and sturdy “flat-shape” fibreglass door and hatches, no visible hinges and especially no external sealant! The reason that led us to invest in such an important and challenging upgrade was not only to improve the design, i.e. have the door and flat-shape hatches for a cleaner and sleek exterior line; the old aluminium hatches and entrance door formed a strong thermal bridge and interrupted the excellent insulation guaranteed by the monocoque. The aerodynamic style of the bodywork has always been our passion, but to ensure thermal comfort of excellence is definitely in our DNA. Designing and moulding the fibreglass door and hatches was simple; we wanted them to close flush with the monocoque and without the usual old fashioned hinges popping out. The revolution arrived by designing a HINGE THAT WORKS COMPLETELY HIDDEN and fully redesigning the entrance door, hatches and all of the rebates on the monocoque bodywork, which are now really automotive. We have designed and patented our THIRD HINGE, solid, sturdy, made of Zama Alloy, which works completely hidden inside the door on one side and inside the bodywork on the other. Zama is a non-ferrous alloy with a high content of extremely pure zinc, combined with small percentages of aluminium, magnesium and copper. Zinc alloys are characterised by extreme hardness and strength. The Third hinge consists of a central body, levers, pins and fixing screws all made of Zama. The slots, which are used to fix the hinge, are housed in the special “rotating bushings”, whose 360° rotation ensures ample adjustments. Each hinge is housed inside a protective shell made of cast aluminium. The shells are accurately positioned, by means of a mould, in the relevant points of the bodywork and subsequently resined to make a single piece with the bodywork.

Entry Door and External Doors Since 1977 Wingamm in co-operation with partners specialised in the fibreglass production tested every kind of fibreglass such as every molding technologies in the constant search for a higher quality. In 2009 we achieved the ambitious project to create all the external doors in fibreglass with an attractive, wisely automotive design. NEW ENTRY DOOR FOR WINGAMM OASI The new main door of the innovated design and motor type (that is without obsolete frames and external hinges) is made of fibreglass. The hinges (entirely projected by Wingammâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s technical staff) in solid zama, disappear completely when in use. The new solid elegant door has a thermal-cut double glass with internal magnetic blinds. The original FIAT handle/lock has been chosen for a guaranteed and safe closure. It is centralised with cabin locks. NEW ENTRY STEP IN FIBREGLASS: Replacing the previous step in abs, it is made entirely of fibreglass, extremely strong in brown toffee colour with a much wider tread than the previous model. Easier and safer access for elderly people. New 20 lt. dustbin with knee-touch opening.

Floor Comfort System Underfloor Heating - â&#x20AC;&#x153;W-Floor Comfort Systemâ&#x20AC;?

FLOOR COMFORT SYSTEM

This is a special and truly innovative underfloor heating system for the camper sector. There is already an excellent degree of thermal comfort provided by the fibreglass monocoque bodyshell, with a double shell and polyurethane foam insulation, but to maximise interior comfort, in addition to the standard heating, we wanted to add something else by designing a revolutionary underfloor heating system.

Only for extreme winter campers! Like our monocoque bodyshell, the floor also has a sandwich construction system with an overall thickness of 50 mm:

Fibreglass sheet Polyurethane foam sheet Fibreglass sheet In the floor we fitted a piping system (also in fibreglass) with hot air from the heating system (Truma Combi or Webasto). On the top surface of the floor we have laminated a wafer-thin perforated aluminium sheet to ensure the heat is evenly spread across the whole vehicle. The floor is firmly glued to the inner walls of the monocoque with a special fibreglass rolling process. The sandwich floor further strengthens the structure of the vehicle, thereby providing greater stability to the whole bodywork and ensuring high torsional rigidity.

FLOOR READY FOR THE PREPARATION

Garage X-Trafit System The Garage X-Trafit System project came about in 2009, initially with the aim of highlighting the extremely sporty and practical feel of the Brownie 5.8 GL that had just been introduced as an ultra-compact camper (measuring just 5.90 m long) with a rear garage (created by transforming the bunk beds) that could rival much bigger motorhomes. The garage had to be extremely practical, resistant to heavy use, waterproof and easy to clean after travelling with sports equipment used for truly extreme pursuits. At the same time, the garage area had to be heated and insulated to ensure those sleeping in bunk beds at the back stay warm and comfortable – unlike some other motorhomes with a garage compartment where thermal comfort is often very poor! So we designed a fibreglass single-unit capsule that fully covers the floor and the inner walls of the garage. The garage compartment is heated by a pipe of hot air in the gap created between the inner capsule and the wall of the monocoque. There is a pipe with hot air that warms up the whole garage area, walls included.

GARAGE X-TRAFIT

The Garage X-Trafit technology is the best- performing one on the market in terms of thermal comfort and waterproofness. The internal capsule, a single fibreglass unit, significantly improves the overall finish inside the garage compartment: why line a garage compartment with PVC or even a carpet, given how it will be used? After 2009, the Garage X-Trafit system was fitted to all Wingamm models with garage compartments.

Insulated and heated tanks We’re the no.1 thermal comfort experts. On all our models the fresh (drinking) water tank and the waste (grey) water tank are positioned underneath the vehicles between the two side-members on the vehicle’s chassis, protected by special fibreglass and polyurethane foam capsules. Electric discharge valves are installed in the capsules for anti-freeze protection, and hot air is passed from the heating system in to the hollow space between each tank and the protective capsule: thermal comfort starts from the ground up!

GARAGE X-TRAFIT

Acoustic Comfort System The interiors, which have a sophisticated and intentionally minimalistic design are created and made exclusively by Wingamm. Our furniture, which ensures comfort, elegance and functionality, is never outsourced to external suppliers. The furnishings are multi-layered surfaces of fine poplar, which ensures top quality and at the same time a low weight. They are covered with fine and equally resistant HPL Abet, Arpa or Formica laminated layered surfaces. HPL laminated surfaces ensure excellent resistance to wear and steam, top hygiene levels and are easy to clean. The main purpose of the furniture design is to optimise the use of internal space as much as possible and create functional and comfortable interiors in the relatively limited amount of internal space available inside a caravan or motorhome. The minimal design, clean lines and extremely light colours are not just a creative whim, but a specific choice to lighten, illuminate and add a feeling of space to a small environment. Without any exceptions, all the furniture inside our vehicles, from the Rookie to Micros, is secured to the walls of the monocoque bodyshell with an exclusive structural sealant. This gluing system, which is very different from traditional fixing methods with screws, helps eliminates noise due to vibration and friction while driving and ensures greater durability. The acoustic on the road comfort is also ensured by Wingamm’s one-piece bodyshell as it doesn’t have ABS panels or aluminium parts secured to it like most motorhomes which may vibrate or generate noise while driving.

Safety Block System central locking - “Safety Block System” In 2009 we decided it was time to replace old, dull conventional entrance doors made of aluminium (with their same old external frames, visible hinges and visible amounts of silicone which get dirty and quickly go black) with a new and better alternative – a light and sturdy fibreglass door (and external lockers) without any visible hinges and especially no external silicone! Of course, this then led us to want new and improved handles and external locks. We clearly had to come up with something innovative and, above all, safer compared to the usual ones used by all other manufacturers. The result: we got rid of the traditional external door handles and adopted a sturdy Fiat lock/handle for the entrance door and designed a truly innovative, unique CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM which also offered improved security. The whole system is connected to the central locking of the cab doors (Fiat, VW) and is easily operated from the ignition key fob. A electronic micro switch has been installed for each door. When the vehicle is parked and the locking function on the key fob is press, it locks all the doors (not just the cab). The entrance door always closes and opens independently with the ignition key fob control. There is also an auto-lock function, whereby all the doors lock automatically when the engine starts. It also has a safety buzzer that sounds if any door is open while the engine is running.

It comes with a two-burner hob with a cover that closes flush with the work surface, a steel sink with a Wingamm wooden chopping board cover, and a 96L Trivalent refrigerator. The wide and welcoming L-shaped dinette opposite the kitchen is a space to enjoy together and can be turned into a single bed, as required. The oval dinette table is secured to a device that allows you to move it and stop it in any desired position. The L-shaped dinette also has swivel “captain chair” cab seats to provide extra seating options in the lounge area. We have a choice of ‘jacquard’ fabrics for you to select to customise the lounge upholstery. OASI 610 With most conventional motorhomes in Europe often more than 7 metres long, it is easy to understand why a 6.10 m camper is considered “compact”. Conventional manufacturers have also introduced “compact solutions” but these are rarely more than just a “fully equipped van”, which is still a van. At Wingamm, we have been specialising in truly compact campers (e.g. body lengths of just 5.25 m) for the last 40 years, and consider a length of 6.10 m to be perfectly practical and exciting thanks to our clever designers. The Oasi 610 range includes 2 models, each with very different interior layouts plus a range of variants. The Oasi 610 range has suitably compact models, all with a Fiat Ducato base, a 3.80 m wheelbase, with an extremely short rear overhang, a wider wheel track and 16” tyres to give maximum grip on the road. As per tradition Wingamm every available square centimeter is wisely used, a mix of functionality, comfort and elegant expression of the utmost versatility. The sinuous, light and bright interiors are designed to use space as efficiently as possible and provide unrivalled comfort. OASI 690 Oasi is our most extensive and longest-standing range: it has constantly evolved over time with the introduction of increasingly advanced technology, design and fine details. The Oasi 690 is one of our flagship ranges featuring high standards of luxury. The contemporary design and strong lines of the monocoque bodyshell, the Fiat Ducato cab with a 4.035 mm wheelbase with a modest overhang, a wider rear wheel track and 16” wheels highlight the majestic presence of Oasi 690 models. There are 3 available models: Oasi 690G – Oasi 690GC – Oasi 690TWINS with an ideal combination of technology, design and elegance. The 3 layouts are very different and have just one element in common: the large, heated rear garage compartment with a double fibreglass shell, X-Trafit Technology and large double bed above it. The garage is 100% airtight, designed with bright ivory-coloured fibreglass to make it extremely sturdy and easy to wash. We don’t believe in fitting carpet to storage compartments like a garage, where it would get dirty, wet and deteriorate, so instead we prefer a more solid and resistant covering for “heavy-duty” use! The garage is accessed by two large side hatches or also from the inside. All entrance doors and external hatches of our Oasi 690 models are fitted with the “Safety Block System” central locking giving the added security of utilising the automotive locking system of the base vehicle. MICROS Micros: compact, eclectic, unrivalled, is an unprecedented synthesis between technology and aesthetics. Micros is our ultracompact, refined and elegant camper on a Volkswagen T6 base. The mechanical base is a VW T6 2.0 with power outputs of 150PS or 204PS, also available with the VW-4Motion all-wheel drive system and the VW DSG automatic gearbox. It fully encapsulates Wingammâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s approach: engineering, design and comfort. Wingammâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lightweight design gives the Micros an unladen weight of just 2,600 kg! Micro is just 5.30 m long, with the performance and driving comfort of a car, yet with an extremely functional space inside! The importance of details emerge everywhere. Timeless design. Comfortable, extremely stylish, with balanced proportions, carefully selected materials and accessories. Nothing is left to chance, we have made the most of every square centimetre. The interiors can be customised by mix and matching both the colours of the furniture and those of the fabrics. The entrance door is in the rear corner to leave as much room as possible on the right side for an amazingly large kitchen with a single work surface, plenty of storage compartments and drawers. The hob has 2 burners with a cover that closes flush with the work surface, plus a round sink with a single-control mixer and sink cover/wooden chopping board by Wingamm. The toilet area in the rear (left) corner is spacious and functional. It is made entirely of fibreglass and poplar multilayered surfaces veneered with HPL laminated surfaces. The large round fibreglass shower area is fitted with its own mixer tap. The elegant lounge area is available with a choice of a double dinette or L-shaped dinette. The longitudinal, drop-down double bed, patented by Wingamm, has a maximum capacity of 350 kg, and is extremely comfortable and convenient to use â&#x20AC;&#x201C; simply pull it down, or push it up by hand in seconds. Being longitudinal means it is easier to get in or out of bed without disturbing your partner. The standard Micros has a classic double dinette with a central table on the left wall, opposite the kitchen of the vehicle. The dinette converts into a three-quarter sized. Alternatively, the Micros can be ordered with an L-shaped Dinette to provide greater floor space in the lounge area. Instead of the two sofas facing each other, the L-shaped dinette has one long sofa with a rotating oval table. Swivel cab seats are standard for the L-shaped dinette variant to provide further seating. By removing the backrest, the L-shaped sofa turns into a single bed, available all the time.

BROWNIE 5.8GL

This family-orientated layout is the best-selling model of the Brownie range. Superbly sized at just 5.9 m long, with the lowered AL-KO chassis and a 3.6 m wheelbase pitch, it immediately marks its presence. Clearly a Wingamm from a distance as well! This is the most compact family camper on the market (just 5.90 metres long) that provides extremely comfortable sleeping solutions for 4 people and has a rear garage compartment. The interior features an intentionally minimalistic design, made with light polar multilayered surfaces coupled with resistant HPL laminated surfaces in the light and bright Toucher version. The Brownie 5.8 GL features two, completely separate, sleeping areas: the drop-down bed at the front and the bunk beds at the back, so everyone has their own privacy. The walls of the area at the back are made with double-shell fibreglass and are heated with our special X-Trafit system. This means maximum thermal efficiency for a comfortable and relaxing interior. If the bottom bed at the back is not required, the bunk beds can quickly and easily turn into a large garage compartment to transport bicycles, scooters, camping equipment and everything you need for a holiday out in the open air. Step inside the central entrance door and the kitchen unit is immediately to the right, extending up to the seats in the cab. Essential and functional, the kitchen comes with a two-burner hob and a cover that fits flush with the work surface, plus a Trivalent 96L refrigerator. Opposite the kitchen, on the nearside of the vehicle, there is a wide and convenient double dinette with a central table. Upon request, it is also available in the “L Dinette” variant. The central toilet compartment is made of solid fibreglass and HLP laminate. The ivory-coloured fibreglass sink console offers plenty of space, and there is a separate shower area with a separate single-control mixer tap. The longitudinal drop-down double bed, patented by Wingamm, comes with slats and a memory foam mattress for maximum comfort, and is quick and easy to pull-down manually. Duvets and pillows can be left in place so the bed is always ready to use, and as it is longitudinal, it is possible to get in or out of bed without disturbing your partner. The side roof lockers can also be reached from the drop-down bed: this is the drop-down bed “par excellence”!

This is the newest Wingamm model and therefore our most innovative compact camper yet. It has been designed as a multipurpose vehicle, to enable more people to explore new horizons. The external size of City-Suite matches the dimensions of a classic Fiat Ducato van; 5.99 m long and 2.05 m wide. At first glance, one could compare it with the numerous “pure campers” or “fitted vans” that conventional production is now offering on the market as a “compact product”, often with bizarre solutions. City-Suite retains the engine and cab of the Fiat Ducato, but intstead of being a panel van conversion, it has a Wingamm fibreglass monocoque bodyshell smoothly integrated with the cab, so compared to a panel van it offers superior thermal insulation and acoustic comforts guaranteed by our W-Technology. Another benefit is that instead of a huge sliding door of a Ducato van, the City-Suite has a solid Wingamm entrance door made of double-shell insulated fibreglass which uses the vehicle’s automotive locking system. The rear wall does not go unnoticed either! Rather than the two swing doors typically used in vans, we chose a natural fibreglass wing door for access to the large rear locker. The external hatches and hatches are fitted with the W-Safety Block System. As part of our great attention to convenience and driving comfort, we chose a smaller 3.8 m wheelbase compared to the more usual 4.0 m one used for vans. This gives it a smaller turning circle to make it easier and more practical to use every day. Our fibreglass monocoque bodyshell also gives a larger internal volume compared to a standard van conversion, so it is a truly functional, more comfortable and versatile design. The kitchen unit to the right of the entrance door has an ultra-modern design with a steel sink, a two-burner hob, a cover that closes flush with the work surface, and a 96L Trivalent refrigerator. The interior offers a stylish and unconventional design, with a bold choice of the interior furniture made with multilayered polar surfaces covered with HPL laminated surfaces with a new VINTAGE WOOD finish. At the front, above the driver’s cab, there are a series of very useful storage cupboards styled to provide continuity with the rest of the interior design. There is a two-seater dinette opposite the kitchen unit plus two swivel “captain chair” cab seats, so it can seat a total of four people. The standard City-Suite comes with a transverse double bed at the rear, above the large storage area. As the walls are made with double-shell fibreglass and heated with our special X-Trafit system you benefit from maximum thermal insulation so you are as comfortable as possble – at any time of the year. The large access hatch in the rear wall makes loading things into the storage area very simple, but if you want more storage space, there’s the option of the special “E-Line” electric bed-lifting system, so the bed can be raised higher to increase the loading volume to suit your needs.

Its compact size and lightweight design mean it can be towed by practically any vehicle and by anyone with a category B full driving licence. Rookie’s fibreglass monocoque bodywork does not just have an appealing design, as it is also light and joint-free: this ensures there cannot be any water ingress = guaranteed for 10 years. The aerodynamic and streamlined fibreglass monocoque bodyshell has a smooth, flush-fitting automotive-style with an entrance door and exterior lockers using recessed ‘THIRD’ hinges by Wingamm. Like all our bodyshells, the Rookie is also a single unit, 100% waterproof, with excellent polyurethane foam insulation which makes it ideal for use in winter as well as summer – and with no metal parts that rust over time. As standard, the bodywork is white, but upon request it can be painted with any other colour. Despite its compact size – it is just 3.60m long – no compromises were made for the internal layout with a stylish and efficient use of internal space. There is a distinct Italian look and style to ensure a feeling of space and comfort. It has a truly original interior design: the light and modern colours of laminated surfaces make the environment a pleasant and relaxing place. LED lighting. At the front of the Rookie there is a spacious external locker with a large lid to give easy access, with connections for 2 x 10 kg gas cylinders and storage of other camping items.
