WHAT THE STEWARDS SAW RACE 1 MORE SUNDAYS Slow to begin. NEW TYCOON Rdr stated he had been instructed to have his mount settle in a handy position, however it failed to show sufficient speed to obtain a forward position and subsequently settled worse than midfield with cover. He stated his mount travelled comfortably in this position throughout the early and middle stages, however from the 500m it was reluctant to respond to his urgings to improve and subsequently weakened in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. EYE SEE THINGS Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarter. From the 250m until the 100m had difficulty obtaining clear running. MEDIA STARGUEST From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 50m was shifted to the outside of rnr into clear running. DAMAGED Slow to begin, then from the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. BLACK DUKE Making the first turn near the 1000m shifted off heels when racing keenly. Continued to race keenly and near the 900m was steadied again from heels. Over the concluding stages was held up on heels and was not able to be fully tested. EITHER OAR On jumping shifted in and bumped a rnr. ASTERO Slow to begin. COOL LAD Raced keenly in the middle stages. DANISH PRINCE Leaving the 700m was inclined to lay in and made slight contact. RACE 2 SHEN GUI Crowded on jumping. Rdr stated mount overraced throughout the event, however it was nevertheless disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding in the home straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. KING'S TRUST Slow to begin. CABINHO (NZ) Began only fairly and shortly after was bumped. RIBEAUVILLE A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. JAMES BARRIE (NZ) Raced wide and without cover in the early and middle stages. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. FACEMASK Slow to begin. DANZADEL Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. Became unsettled in the barriers prior to the start and subsequently began awkwardly. TO THE NINES Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. ZADIG Began awkwardly and shortly after was crowded for room. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. HARD TO DISMISS Raced keenly throughout, hung out rounding the home turn and proved disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities. BRAZEN IMPACT Between the 200m and 50m was held up on heels and as a result, was unable to be tested. Lost its off-hind plate during running. PROPHET'S PRIDE Lay outwards under pressure over the final 200m. DIAMOND CARAT Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. SUPER EXTREME From the wide barrier was restrained to obtain a position closer to the rail near the rear of the field. SIR RAVANELLI (NZ) Began awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with a rnr. Laid out in the straight. DARK SATIN (NZ) COT: To be ridden conservatively; settled behind midfield. From a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. RACE 3 OUR CANDIDATE (IRE) Near the 150m laid in and made contact with another rnr. ESSENTIAL SKY (NZ) From a wide barrier was shifted in behind runners. Had some difficult obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight. SOUND OF CANNONS (GB) Began awkwardly. SUPPRESSION (NZ) Began awkwardly, shifted in, and had to be steadied off heels. Over the concluding stages could not be tested when placed in restricted room. KING FRANKEL (IRE) Approaching the 100m shifted out under pressure resulting in its rdr having to stop and straighten. RACE 4 O'MUDGEE (NZ) COT: To be ridden conservatively; settled behind midfield. Slow to begin and from a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. When questioned re performance, rdr reported that following her mnt making contact with another rnr near the 1000m, when that rnr maintained its position one off, her mnt did not travel well from that point and raced in a disappointing manner. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs

Held up over the final 150m and was unable to be fully tested to the finish. BAHAMUT Slow to begin. JUST A JEDI Making the home turn improved into a tight run, then became badly crowded and as a result had to be steadied leaving the 400m. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running between the 300m and 150m, and near the 50m was steadied when crowded. MAYFAIR SPIRIT (IRE) Checked near the 150m. Upgraded to 4th on protest. COLOUR SERGEANT (IRE) From a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. NAVAL SEAL Brushed the running rail at the 1000m. SINDACATO (NZ) On jumping shifted out and made contact. RACE 5 RUBAN BLEU Near the 200m was steadied when disappointed for clear running BROKEN ARROWS From a wide barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. SOAMI When qst re settling in on-pace position, rdr std after talks with connections it was decided to ride mnt more forward on the rail. Std after beginning well he initially settled outside a rnr, but as it was available to him to ride mnt along to obtain a position on rail he elected to do this which resulted in him settling further forward. Std mnt travelled well through mid stages, but at entrance to straight he was badly held up & unable to obtain clear running until passing the 100m, after which he felt it had lost momentum & out of contention so chose not to pressure it over final stages. HE'S A HOTSHOT Rdr std instructed to settle in prominent position. Std had to make some use of mnt in early stages to obtain forward position & leaving 1000m, whilst preference was to continue forward to cross, he was unable to establish sufficient margin &, bearing in mind use he had already made of mnt, he elected to ease & obtain position outside lead near 800m. Std once in this position, mnt travelled satisfactorily, but did not respond to riding in straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs other than a small abrasion to the inside near hindleg. TORETTO Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. When the pace steadied near the 800m, commenced to overrace and had to be restrained off heels. KOBE ROCKS (NZ) Began awkwardly and made contact with the inside barrier partition. BEND THE KNEE COT: Endeavour to settle more forward if circumstances permit; ridden accordingly. DEVIL'S THROAT COT: To be ridden further forward; settled midfield. VENTURA OCEAN (IRE) Tightened for racing room over the concluding stages. RACE 6 KINTYRE Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. The colt then failed to muster speed in the early stages despite the efforts of its rdr and from the outside barrier was shifted behind rnrs. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight and near the 300m shifted out abruptly, resulting in its rdr having to correct his mnt. SPEEDSTER Raced greenly under pressure in the straight. CHARM STONE Slow to begin. Lay out throughout the event. GITALONG Laid out in the early stages. BARBER Began awkwardly. COINCIDE Began only fairly. INFATUATION From the 400m became held up on heels and did not obtain clear running until near the 250m. Over the final 50m raced in restricted room. Approaching the winning post had to be steadied to avoid heels. RAZORS Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up between the 400m until approaching the 200m. Raced greenly under pressure in the straight and proved difficult to ride out over the concluding stages. RACE 7 ELECTRIC GIRL From the 400m was held up. Leaving the 300m improved into a narrow run and raced tight until near the 150m. In this incident the mare brushed another rnr on a number of occasions. CHARLEISE After beginning only fairly, was then hampered. CLIFF'S ART (IRE) Overraced early and middle stages. Held up from 400m until 300m. MORE SECRETS From the outside barrier shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. Near the 150m shifted out and bumped. SHEEZA BELTER Began only fairly. Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance approaching the 600m was restrained from

heels. Approaching the 100m became awkwardly placed on heels and as a result was briefly held up. SAMOOT (IRE) On jumping was bumped by another rnr which shifted out. From a wide barrier the mare then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. RACE 8 CAESARS PALACE Approaching the first turn near the 1200m was steadied from heels. Raced very wide & without cover for the majority of the event. REBEL RAMA Raced wide & without cover for the majority of the event. ITA Bumped shortly after the start. Passing the 300m made contact with another rnr when shifting out to obtain clear running. RUSTIC STEEL COT: Intention to be ridden further forward; settled midfield. Approaching the 800m commenced to race keenly and was checked from heels. Stwds permitted gear change of last start winner (Winkers Off ) on the basis the gelding is stepping up in distance and needs to settle. AYRTON (NZ) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Near the 1100m was hampered when momentarily crowded. LAWS OF INDICES (IRE) Near the 50m was hampered. UNCLE BRYN (GB) Hampered at the start when tightened. Held up and unable to obtain a clear run from the 450m and until shifting out near the 250m. RACE 9 MISS JAY FOX Rdr advised soon after the start her mnt became unbalanced & she heard a noise she thought was as a result of it striking itself. Added when she was concerned with the action of her mnt in the middle stages, she eased it down. After viewing the patrol films it was established that soon after the start the mare was heavily contacted on the off hindleg by another rnr. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/barrier trial. Vet clearance since received. UNDENIABLE Hampered near the 150m when bumped. GRACE BAY (NZ) Slow to begin. Near the 400m was bumped on a number of occasions. Over the concluding stages was checked from heels. RUSSBUSS Began awkwardly and shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded. Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance near the 600m was steadied from heels. Approaching the 250m became held up on heels and did not obtain clear running until near the 150m. DEVILS TRIANGLE From the outside barrier was shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. COCO ROX COT: To settle further forward with option to lead; settled off midfield. Rdr reported he intended to lead the event, however after beginning awkwardly, his mnt was then crowded and lost ground. Added as a consequence he was required to settle further back than what was intended. When questioned re riding out over concluding stages, rdr std approaching the finishing line, when racing in restricted room and was receiving pressure from a rnr to his inside, he did not fully test mnt over concluding stages. Rdr was advised wherever possible to ensure he rides his mnt out to the end of the race. I AM ME Began awkwardly. EBHAAR Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Approaching the 300m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed close to heels. HYPOTHETICAL Raced keenly in the early stages and raced wide without cover throughout. RACE 10 EQUATION Raced three wide without cover. BAHAMUT Slow to begin. TONNEOFGRIT Slow to begin. Near the 700m, when racing keenly, was steadied from heels. BELLA ROUGE Near the 300m was bumped. STARMAN COT: To be ridden further forward; settled midfield. Near the 200m was disappointed for a run. DANISH PRINCE Leaving the 700m was inclined to lay in and made slight contact.
