The Northfield Branch Library is replacing carpet. The project is scheduled to begin in mid-December, and completed by January 3. We will be open, but access to the collection may be limited at times, as some materials will need to be packed up in advance. Staff will be able to access materials for you that are located in areas temporarily affected by the process, and we appreciate your patience with regard to any extra time required for retrieval during the project preparation and installation. As an alternative, you may call the library at (847) 446-5990 in advance of your visit to request certain materials be ready when you stop in, or ask that your items be ready for pickup at the Winnetka Library. We will be packing up some materials prior to the beginning of the installation, and truly appreciate your patience as we make improvements. Check out website and our Facebook page for updates.

Reading Concierge Service Request a personalized reading list Would you like to find new authors that write like an old favorite? Do you love a particular genre like mystery or historical fiction but don’t know what to read next? We love connecting people with books or films they’ll enjoy. Stop by the Reference Desk, fill out a short form, and we will email you a personalized reading or movie list. If you prefer, email us at eRef@winnetkalibrary.org and we can send you the form. For each item on your list, we’ll include a link to our online catalog where you can read reviews, check availability, place a hold request, or add it to your reading list.
Northfield Branch Improvements Pardon our dust the last two weeks in December The Northfield Branch Library is replacing carpet. The project is scheduled to begin in mid-December, and completed by January 3. We will be open, but access to the collection may be limited at times, as some materials will need to be packed up in advance. Staff will be able to access materials for you that are located in areas temporarily affected by the process, and we appreciate your patience with regard to any extra time required for retrieval during the project preparation and installation. As an alternative, you may call the library at (847) 446-5990 in advance of your visit to request certain materials be ready when you stop in, or ask that your items be ready for pickup at the Winnetka Library. We will be packing up some materials prior to the beginning of the installation, and truly appreciate your patience as we make improvements. Check out website and our Facebook page for updates.
