TOP JOBS BY CLUSTER RETAIL & HOSPITALITY TOP JOBS - GENESEE

ANALYSIS Demand for retail workers in Genesee has grown in the past quarter. The top posting positions have retained the same in order of demand since Q4 2014 and many have grown. Postings for retail salespersons increased from 165 in Q4 2014 to 200 in Q1 2015. There was slight growth in demand for sales representatives, up from 116 in Q4 2014 to 130 in Q1 2015. Demand fell modestly for customer service representatives during that same time period from 92 postings to 86.

RETAIL & HOSPITALITY TOP JOBS - SHIAWASSEE

ANALYSIS Shiawassee employers rarely post the same positions each quarter and Q1 2015 is no different. Customer service representatives also have strong demand in the county with 12 postings in Q1 2015. However, this is down from 21 postings in Q4 2014. The general decline in Shiawassee employer postings in this cluster from Q4 2014 to Q1 2015 signals that this county’s retail and hospitality demand is likely driven by the holiday season. 8
