Employment in this group has been consistently growing, more health care workers needed to care for Michigan’s aging population and in response to regulatory and other changes. Registered nurses are routinely the most in-demand job in this group. Annually, there are about 23,600 job openings for these positions across southeast Michigan, and this is projected to continue increasing.
