New this Winter – Radio Frequency Identification Cards Wintergreen Resort is proud to partner with Team Axess to provide a better skiing and riding experience with Radio Frequency Identification Device technology (RFID). RFID ticketing and gate system will provide a direct-tolift convenience for all guests who have a reloadable RFID card. Skiers and snowboarders can bypass the lift ticket windows and simply reload lift tickets or renew passes online. Just keep your pass in a left pocket and RFID will automatically identify your pass without you having to present your card. The card must be in a pocket by itself - without any other RFID cards, cell phone, coins or metal wrappers (medicine, gun, candy wrappers, etc.). Think of it as an EZ-Pass for the slopes.

Learning to ski or snowboard can be a part of your home school curriculum this winter. As a home schooler, you have flexibility to visit during the week, thus avoiding the weekend crowds. That means shorter lift lines and more runs! Family Fun Tubing at The Plunge The Plunge – Virginia’s largest tubing park – is a 900- foot, mega-snowtubing hill for people 42 inches and taller. Tubers can reach thrilling speeds of 25 to 40 MPH with a vertical drop of 100 feet. Sessions frequently sell out, so please purchase your tickets online before you arrive.
Discovery Ridge Adventure Center Indoor fun for the entire family! This winter when the kids need a break from the cold, they don’t have to give up on adventure – we’ve brought it inside. Ninja Warrior Course. The nine obstacles on the course will test your speed, strength, and agility. Channel your inner Ninja! Once you’ve conquered the ninja course, move on to the bouldering wall. No ropes, no harnesses required, just grit and determination to traverse the wall horizontally.

Our two picturesque courses include 45-holes of true mountain golf. Stoney Creek (open year round), designed by the “U.S. Open Doctor” Rees Jones, flows through the historic Rockfish Valley and its natural springs and native habitat. Wintergreen’s flagship restaurant, The Copper Mine serves time-honored classic standards and contemporary creations. The chefs blend classic cooking techniques with modern and current culinary trends. Of course respect for the ingredients is top of mind as they prepare everything from breakfast to dinner. Weekend lunches will feature a Dagwood Buffet and an a la carte lunch. Be sure to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails or a carefully selected glass of wine to enhance your meal and help you to relax while dining. Dinner reservations recommends but not required. On Fridays, be sure to arrive early and enjoy Prime Rib night. Come hungry, leave happy!
Devils Grill
Situated at the mountaintop golf course, Devils Grill serves elegant and innovative American fare in a beautiful setting using the freshest and highest quality food, much of which is sourced locally. The restaurant serves dinner Thursday to Sunday and Sunday Brunch. Devils Grill is exclusive to Wintergreen Members and registered overnight Wintergreen Resort guests.
The Lookout
After the thrills of the Plunge, stop in for pizza and subs all served with a side of breathtaking views of the slopes.
Pryor’s Porch
This winter the theme is BBQ and Fry-House. You’ll savor the tender and tempting pulled pork, beef brisket and chicken BBQ. Then bring on the fries with fresh tenders, fish and shrimp.
Checkerberry Cabin
Head to the Cabin when you need a break from the slopes. If you need a morning treat, sample the sweet and cinnamony monkey bread. Moving on to the savory, enjoy our brat-haus offerings with a fine selection of brats and all the fixings. Pretzels, too! And don’t forget our tap takeovers by local breweries and cideries.
