WINTER HAVEN MAGAZINE

Historically, Winter Haven was just what the name implies – a haven for those seeking an alternative to the harsh winters of the northeast. While we still welcome numerous winter visitors each year, Winter Haven has evolved into so much more – a true renaissance city. With an affordable lifestyle, robust business and entrepreneurial economy, authentic Florida roots and a beautifully unique natural environment, Winter Haven is the destination to live, work, eat, stay and play. There are five pillars that help define the foundation and future of the Winter Haven community – our identity as a premier family friendly destination and home to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, our revitalized historic downtown business core, our lakeside lifestyle, our collaborative business community and, most importantly, our people. While many Florida cities have obscured their identity with the artificial, only Winter Haven is thoughtfully, enthusiastically and proudly leveraging its authentic roots to build a compellingly unique destination for visitors and residents. It’s our ‘small town’ authenticity, reimagined for the future.

IT’S ALL ABOUT LOCATION

With a population within the City limits of almost 43,000, the Winter Haven – Lakeland MSA has been named 14th on the list of the Fastest Growing Cities by Forbes with a growth rate of 4.1% from 2017 to 2018. We are located at the center of Florida’s super region, an area that spans from Tampa to Daytona that generates $300 billion per year in the economic activity, making it the 9th largest economy in the United States. Winter Haven is directly between two major metropolitan areas – Tampa and Orlando – and offers a short drive to either city’s amenities. However, in Winter Haven you can enjoy lower cost of living, less traffic and a more cohesive community. We’re not a bedroom community by any means, as we have economic opportunity built on small businesses, entrepreneurs and large industry. Florida is known as the Sunshine State and Winter Haven is no exception. For the vast majority of the year we experience mild climate, blue skies, sunshine and light breezes. We are in Florida though, so the occasional shower can occur, especially in the hotter summer afternoons. A little shower provides the perfect time experience our indoor attractions and cultural venues.

Winter Havenites are incredibly proud of their rich agricultural and entrepreneurial history. Early residents dubbed the city the “City of 100 Lakes”. Realistically, we don’t have 100 lakes, but without the ease of drone technology, how could they have known?!? The first settlers arrived in Winter Haven in the 1860’s. By 1885, the village was named by P.D. Eycleshimer. While many families lived in the vicinity, such as the Eycleshimers, Sykes, Jacksons and Inmans, the first official residents of the village after it was platted were F.A.K. Harris and his wife Adele, who built the first commercial and residential structure downtown in 1885. Our famous chain of canal-connected lakes was started in 1915 and completed in the early 1920’s as a way to transport citrus crops. Along with the Chain of Lakes, the 1920’s boom brought rapid growth throughout Florida, and eventually, serious economic turmoil. Winter Haven was not exempt. Citrus and other agricultural crops were the early economic mainstays. In 1930, a 22-year-old George Jenkins opened the first Publix Food Store on 4th St NW and then his “dream store” for Publix Super Markets on Central Avenue in 1940. You can visit these sites to see the historic markers. Unfortunately, Publix subs are not available at the markers. In 1936, a gregarious promoter named Dick Pope opened Cypress Gardens on Lake Eloise. Pope brought intense publicity to Florida, Winter Haven and his beloved park. The Pope family sold Cypress Gardens in 1985. For 73 years it entertained more than 50 million people. In October 2011, Merlin Entertainments Group opened LEGOLAND® Florida on the historic site, and the Cypress Gardens botanical gardens are leased to, and beautifully maintained by them. Winter Haven’s history is being preserved at the Museum of Winter Haven history located on Lake Howard and Pope Avenue in the historic Woman’s Club. Visit winterhavenchamber. com for more information.

[HOME TO LEGOLAND®

FLORIDA

Winter Haven has always been a part of Florida’s theme park family, but these days things are even AWESOMER. That’s right, everything is awesome at the theme park built-for-kids, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. When families arrive in the park, they are in for an interactive themed experience like nowhere else! With over 50 rides, a water park, interactive attractions, restaurants and shops, all inspired by popular LEGO® brands and characters, LEGOLAND® is tailormade for families with children age 2-12. You can explore LEGO® replicas of famous skylines and historical landmarks in Miniland USA, watch LEGO® men ski on Lake Eloise, dive into the full feature Water Park, open from spring through early fall, or take a wild ride on one of the many “pink knuckle” rides in the park. Become a ninja in LEGO® NINJAGO® World as you battle against the enemy and sharpen your ninja skills on the virtual ride NINJAGO®. One of the greatest benefits to being home to the 2nd largest entertainment company in the world is that they are constantly investing in the park to feature the latest LEGO® characters and ride technology. In 2018, LEGOLAND® opened The Great LEGO® Race. This roller coaster is a combination of virtual reality technology and LEGO® figures which has never seen before on any attraction in their parks. Once guests get on the ride, they will be given VR headsets where they will enter into a virtual LEGO® World to race against a wizard, surfer, pharaoh and pirate in their LEGO® vehicles. The VR headsets are optional, but they enhance this coaster experience by giving kids a 360-degree view of all of the LEGO® action on this ride. In spring 2019, LEGOLAND® is adding the new LEGO® Movie World which will include three new rides including the Unikitty’s Disco Drop, the Battle of Bricksburg and the Master of Flight. This attraction features the beloved characters from The LEGO® Movie and The LEGO® Movie 2, and asks guests to hop aboard Emmet’s Triple Decker Flying Couch and experience an action-packed adventure on a suspended ride with a full-dome virtual screen, giving the sensational feeling of flying through Bricksburg. The one-of-a-kind experience is the first attraction at a major theme park in the United States that embeds a 180-degree turn in the ride experience. LEGOLAND® continues to feature your kid’s favorite LEGO® brands including DUPLO®, LEGO® Kingdoms, LEGO® City, LEGO® Technic, Pirate’s Cove, and LEGO® Friends.

A RESORT]

For a more relaxing pace, LEGOLAND® also offers guests a beautiful glance into the park’s history as Florida’s first theme park when guests meander through the Cypress Gardens’ Botanical Gardens. In 2018, LEGOLAND® also announced its partnership with Winter Haven’s own craft brewery, Grove Roots Brewing Company, offering craft beer in certain parts of the park. With two accommodation options and the third on the way, families can choose whether they want to stay in a 152-room hotel on the shores of Lake Eloise directly adjacent to the park or in a bungalow-style villa on the shores of Lake Dexter, directly across the street from the resort entrance. The LEGOLAND® Hotel sits next to the park gates and gives its guests convenient access to the park while providing the amenities of a “built-for-kids” hotel. Each room features a LEGO® brand theme and a separate sleeping area for adults and kids. LEGOLAND® Florida Beach Retreat, located across the street from the entrance of the park, is a beach-inspired getaway that offers guest a new way to do a family vacation. On the property, guests will find their bungalow with its own cove and playground. Parents can relax on the patio of their bungalow while watching their children play. The Beach Retreat also offers a poolside service cafeteria and beautiful lakeside views. Coming in 2020 will be a five-story, 150-room hotel that will connect to the existing LEGOLAND® Hotel at the park entrance. Suffice it to say, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is a perfect place to make your hub for your Central Florida vacation!

Premier Family De BOK TOWER GARDENS

Soaring 205 feet above the hillside, Bok Tower is the exquisite centerpiece that makes Bok Tower Gardens a majestic and soul-nourishing paradise. The marble and coquina rock tower is home to a 60-bell carillon and surrounded by more than 700 acres of groves, flowers, meadows, endangered plants and protected lands. Opening in 1929 as a gift to the American people from the Dutch immigrant Edward Bok, the tower still rings out every half hour and at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., when a carillonneur plays a concert of various musical selections. Bok Tower Gardens also includes a children’s garden and play area, an outdoor kitchen and edible garden and paved paths for easier access to all visitors. They host hundreds of special events throughout the year including their most popular, Sunset and Symphony, Boktoberfest and Christmas at Pinewood.

PROFESSIONAL & AMATEUR SPORTS

In December 2016, the Orlando Magic and the NBA G League announced that the Magic had purchased the Erie Bayhawks with plans to relocate the team to Florida. Having the team so close to its parent club helps the Magic develop players and evaluate talent. The Lakeland Magic play at the RP Funding Center in nearby Lakeland and will soon call Winter Haven home as well. The Magic have plans to practice in the new state-of-theart fieldhouse in Winter Haven, slated to open November 2019. The fieldhouse will include 6 basketball courts, meeting rooms, offices, a fitness room and upgrades to the existing Theatre Winter Haven. With the same level of professionalism and entertainment as a traditional NBA game the Lakeland Magic provide guests with a unique family-friendly experience. Polk County is also home to a professional soccer team, The Florida Tropics, indoor football team and an abundance of other sports. Winter Haven has a very strong youth soccer association, baseball league, football league and swimming league, as well as many other sports that your family may enjoy.

AVIATION

BACK TO NATURE

People don’t just flock to Winter Haven to dive into the lakes, they also come to fly high above them. Winter Haven is the capital for seaplane training, driven primarily through Jack Brown’s Seaplane Base at the Winter Haven Regional Airport. Since its start in 1963, Jack Brown’s have trained over 25,000 pilots from all over the world. After his passing in 1975, his sons, Jon and Chuck, continue his legacy through this Winter Haven business. Because of the abundance of lakes and beautiful views, Winter Haven is a sought-after location for seaplane and biplane training. The airport is also centrally located, making it a convenient place for pilots to land.

Beyond the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, Winter Haven’s natural beauty and appeal can’t be understated. Protected trails and parks are located in every direction, allowing for opportunities to learn, explore, have a picnic or even camp! Visit Circle B Bar Reserve for the chance to see bald eagles, hundreds of gators, turtles, birds, rabbits and much more! Circle B is also home to the Nature Discovery Center where families can learn about the animal and plant species that are indigenous to our part of Florida. Westgate River Ranch and Rodeo offers camping sites, teepee camping, glamping in air-conditioned tents and regular hotel rooms. There are numerous hiking trails, horseback riding trails, airboat rides and a Saturday night rodeo for families to enjoy!

SPLASHY ATTRACTIONS

Central Florida is also home to the world’s largest aviation conference, Sun ‘n Fun. At this conference, the community is invited to learn more about aviation, see planes up close and watch several air shows. With flawless flying weather, 55 accessible lakes and a regional airport, Winter Haven has all of the vital amenities for pilots to travel to Winter Haven from all over the world.

Winter Haven has long been known as the Water Ski Capital of the World. From the original water skiers at Cypress Gardens theme park to the numerous wakeboarding, flyboarding, wake surfing instructors in the area, the water sports legacy continues in our community. While you are in town, rent a boat at Marine Supply or take a guided tour of the Chain of Lakes with Living Water Cruises. For those looking to burn a few calories while exploring, check out Paddleboard Winter Haven for an upclose look at the lakes. We also have a branch of the Freedom Boat Club, if you are a member. No boat? No problem, in 2019, Polk County’s first water sport cable park will open in our neighboring city of Auburndale. While you are there, you can also visit the Polk County Sports Hall of Fame. Learn more about Florida’s sports legacy at the Central Florida Visitor’s Center’s Florida Sports Hall of Fame. They also offer Florida themed gifts and discounted tickets to many of Central Florida’s incredible attractions.

Downtown is our Stage

FOR LOCAL FAVORITES

One of the best ways to visit a community is to hang out where the locals do. Downtown is the heart of the Winter Haven community. It is our stage for delicious food, amazing music, innovative businesses, unique shopping, recreation, local favorites and cultural arts. Some residents joke that it is our very own “Epcot World Showcase” in terms of dining options which include Italian cuisine, Louisiana inspired menus, southern BBQ, locally owned coffee shops, Thai food, sushi, Japanese inspired menus, American favorites, Mexican, bakeries, healthy smoothies and so much more. Aptly described as Winter Haven’s backyard party, Grove Roots Brewing Co. is Winter Haven’s first and only craft brewery. Grove Roots’ theme pays homage to our citrus industry past, but with a modern twist. Whether you are a craft beer aficionado or someone that just likes live music, delectable food trucks, trivia nights, craft business markets, and a safe space for family members of all ages to enjoy, Grove Roots is a great stop on your visit to our community or your regular Sunday Funday!

FOR ART

Downtown is our stage for rich art and cultural experiences. One of the highlights of a trip downtown is the modern murals peeking through the alleyways and sides of buildings. Some of these are from local artists and others were commissioned to internationally-recognized artists. They are definitely not your grandmother’s murals! Our downtown canvas is a favorite for family and engagement photo sessions. Visit winterhavenchamber.com to see a map of all of the great artwork in the downtown core, including sculptures that adorn our downtown green spaces. The City of Winter Haven’s cultural art advisory committee commissioned local artists to paint all of the electrical boxes in downtown Winter Haven in 2017. Ridge Art Association, Sidestreet Studio and Outer Space Art Gallery and Studio are also great spots for those who prefer indoor artistic experiences. Our community theatre, Theatre Winter Haven, is Florida’s most award-winning community theatre and continues to enrich the lives of residents

and visitors with its talented actors, experienced staff and exceptional productions. Annually, they transport you to the streets of Broadway with musicals, plays and special performances. They also offer programming that includes a 55+ acting troupe, a children’s theatre academy, dance classes and a community choir. Polk State College also stages many excellent performances and musical productions, along with student-created visual arts that are showcased throughout the year. Our historic Ritz Theatre will be reopening in 2019 to new management, programming and a new era of family fun.

FOR EVENTS

Downtown is our literal stage for entertainment. South Central Park, a brand-new addition to our downtown, has made our ‘stage’ significantly bigger! South Central Park is the park located between 5th Street SW and 4th Street SW with a grassy area surrounded by beautiful brick pavers, swinging benches, nighttime lighting features and ample parking. An interactive information kiosk located in the park, assists guests enjoying our walkable downtown. With this new park, our events, festivals, art shows, car shows, farmer’s markets and family events have been dramatically enhanced! Main Street Winter Haven presents many of our downtown events such as Oktoberfest, Art Walk, Craft Beer Crawl and Carols in the Park in December. Annually, the Chamber of Commerce presents CommunityFest and Taste of Winter Haven. CommunityFest is a FREE family festival with games, food and entertainment. Taste of Winter Haven is an evening event that gives guests an opportunity to taste local fare, craft beer and wine. Winter Haven is truly a center for community events, thriving fine arts and diverse culture.

FOR MUSIC

Winter Haven’s musical history boasts hometown artists like Jim Stafford and Gram Parsons, and its present-day also includes young artists making their mark. From open mic nights to concerts, Gram Parson’s Derry Down gives everyone a chance to be a part of Winter Haven’s musical soul. Once a teen nightclub in the 1960’s, this restored venue is once again giving young musicians an opportunity to hone their craft. Many of our downtown restaurants and bars also host live music Thursday through Sunday and host special musical concerts and festivals. No matter where you choose to be exposed to music, arts and culture, Winter Haven has a multitude of venues to choose from.

Walkability is a key component to a successful downtown walkability from your door to your business, your door to your dinner and your door to your entertainment is even better. Downtown developers are focusing on creating a live-work-play community. In 2016, the first major residential developments in the downtown core for over 30 years opened, the RainGarden Apartments and Tupelo Vue Apartments. In 2019, 20 more units will be added and over the next 5 years an additional 130 are currently planned. In addition to new construction, developers are focusing on revitalizing the surrounding downtown neighborhoods, including the Downtown Lake Howard Oaks District and the Lake Martha Neighborhood. Entrepreneurs are bolstering the liveability opening a 24-hour gym, yoga studio and coffee shops. The City of Winter Haven has made sizeable investments in to the downtown core including a rails-to-trails bike and running paths, a brand new Winter Haven Tennis Center and a renovated Senior Recreation Center. In 2019 - 2020 we will see the development of a downtown Skate Park, a transformation of Lake Silver’s Martin Luther King Jr. Park and the addition of a boardwalk dock on Lake Howard to include boat slips. Imagine leaving the LEGOLAND® Hotel on a water shuttle to downtown via the Chain of Lakes. It could be a reality in the near future.

Lakeside Lifestyle [FLORIDA’S

INLAND COASTAL PLAY

Being lakeside is not just a location, it’s a lifestyle here in Winter Haven. With 24 canalconnected lakes, 55 lakes that touch the City of Winter Haven and 554 lakes in Polk County, there is pretty much a lake everywhere you look. You can travel from one side of Winter Haven to the other without ever leaving your boat. Canal connectivity means countless hours of water skiing, boating, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, tubing, fly boarding and wakeboarding. Since 1922, water-skiers have been leaving their mark on Winter Haven history for all to see. In 1936, when Dick Pope opened Cypress Gardens theme park one of the main attractions was the show skiers. Today, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort carries on that tradition with several LEGO® themed shows per day on Lake Eloise. In 2012, Mark Voisard, a former show skier for Cypress Gardens, started the Cypress Gardens Water Ski team to help carry on Winter Haven’s legacy of the sport. Today, this troupe of athletes performs a free show every third Saturday of every month on Lake Silver in downtown Winter Haven. To compliment the show, a new event, Slow Roll & Ski Show, was created where locals gather at The Bike Shop bike through downtown to Lake Silver to watch the performance and check out the latest downtown developments. If you want to slow down from the fast-paced water recreation, you can take peaceful tours of the lakes with Living Water Boat Cruises. Rue and Sharlene Denton have endless knowledge about the history, wildlife and plant life that inhabit our lakes. They offer various different tour options that are perfect for visitors and residents. Winter Haven is also home to the Freedom Boat Club, join the Club and have access to any boat in their club’s fleet without the hassle of being a full-time boat owner! One of those “fleets” happen to be right here in Winter Haven, and you also gain access to boats around the country. The lakeside lifestyle doesn’t stop at water recreation. Winter Haven offers several waterfront restaurants with seamless views of

WINTER HAVEN MAGAZINE

Winter Haven’s approach to business is an unusually collaborative one, incorporating pro-growth government policies, strategic partnerships, high capacity IT infrastructure and flexible workforce development opportunities throughout the greater Winter Haven area. Cultivating a thriving local business community through collaboration is at the heart of what we do in Winter Haven. Many exectives that relocate to the area say it’s what sets us apart. Winter Haven has experienced a high rate of growth over the last 7 years. Our location is a the primary driver of that growth, which includes easy access to routes of trade, a history as a logistics and distribution hub, the availability of land, our position between two major metro markets, a workforce of 9 million people within 100 miles, lower cost of living compared surrounding metro markets and of course the warmth and sunshine.

TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS

Winter Haven’s location at the center of the state makes it a perfect location for the transfer of goods and services. Polk County has a long history as a warehousing and logistics hub with access to Interstate 4, Highway 27 and Highway 60, all of which traverse the state in various directions. This makes it easy for freight to make its way to sea ports on both the east and west coast as well as to two major international airports in Tampa and Orlando. In 2017, our neighboring airport in Lakeland opened a customs center and is able to accept international shipments. Winter Haven is home to CSX’s Central Florida Intermodal Logistics Center. The technologically advanced intermodal center opened in spring of 2014 and makes Winter Haven one of the main hubs of product distribution by rail. This addition opens up numerous opportunities for businesses looking to expand their markets to the 18 million residents and visitors within 4-hours of Winter Haven, as well as the global economy through access to the Florida ports. Winter Haven is also home to its own regional general aviation airport. Several businesses are located on the grounds of the airport for aircraft maintenance and training with more plans for build out on the site for additional aviation related businesses.

y Communit DIVERSE ECONOMY

The economy of Winter Haven has greatly diversified over the past several decades. Agribusiness, and in particular the citrus industry, was the main economic driver for most of the 20th century. However, economic development efforts directed at diversifying the economy began in earnest during the 1980s. Today’s economy has dominant sectors including healthcare, technology, tourism, professional and financial services, education, agribusiness and, as mentioned, distributions and logistics. The considerable fiber optic infrastructure in downtown Winter Haven has led to the growth of a technology sector that employs more than 500 people. From software and blogging platform development to internet security and secure inland data storage, downtown Winter Haven hosts this rapidly developing segment. In 2018, six Winter Haven areas were designated by the Governor as Opportunity Zones, created by the Federal Tax Cuts and Job Act of 2017. Opportunity Zones are a new tool that provide incentives for investments in low-income communities across the country. Contact the Chamber for more information on these opportunities.

THE SECRET SAUCE

The most important factor in Winter Haven’s growth is the business friendly climate, from a state perspective as well as a county and municipal level, combined with cooperation and synergy of our organizations working to support business sustainability and growth. The Winter Haven Economic Development Council and the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce are two cornerstones working to champion efforts to expand local business and recruit new opportunities to Winter Haven. Our economic development pace is strong. With projects of all sizes and scales planned for Winter Haven, we are working closely with the city, county and state to bring these to fruition. Private investment follows public investment and we are blessed to have a City with the foresight to understand that. In 2018, the city undertook several projects such as South Central Park, the Tennis Complex, the groundbreaking of the 7th street project, Lake Maude Recreation Park and the Chain of Lakes Fieldhouse. These are just some examples of the City’s public investment into the quality of life and health of the Winter Haven community. The Chamber of Commerce also works closely with Main Street Winter Haven to support their mission to develop and preserve the economic, cultural and historic qualities that make downtown the heart of our community. Small business is our community’s foundation and we are extremely proud of that. At the Chamber, we work closely with the city to advocate for our small businesses and ensure that our businessfriendly climate remains. We also partner with the Community and Small Business Assistance Center, Central Florida SCORE and the Small Business Development Center to ensure you have the resources you need. Each April these organization come together to host Cityworks (X)po Florida, an idea-sharing conference focused on developing communities in thoughtful, creative and sustainable ways. Together, Winter Haven stands ready to empower local business and to remove barriers to success.

Education PRE K-12 EDUCATION

Polk County Public Schools has more than 170 schools with a diverse student bodies that exceeds 100,000. The Winter Haven area has numerous public elementary schools, three middle schools, two high school and several magnet, choice and charter public schools. Polk County Public Schools boasts over 100 career academies which focus on careers from veterinary medicine to marketing to robotics and more. We are also privileged to have premier private schools that meet the needs of many of our families as well as strong home schooling networks and a Montessori pre-school and Pre K-8th grade school.

The Greater Winter Haven Chamber Commerce launched an Educational Outcomes initiative to determine ways the community can become involved in the public-school system and help to improve the educational outcomes of our students. As a direct result, the Winter Haven Public Education Partnership (PEP) was formed comprising of educators, teachers, business leaders, elected officials and citizens. This ground breaking community activism resulted in a call-to-action for citizens passionate about improving educational outcomes for children. Since then, they have opened an after-school tutoring center in Northeast Winter Haven, a Career Connection mentoring program and launched the Cambridge Academy at Winter Haven High School and Denison Middle School. Denison is the first middle school in Polk County to offer this curriculum. PEP has been an integral part of the successes of our schools. They continue to work on the greatest challenges affecting Winter Haven public schools through community partnerships, collaboration and listening to the needs of school faculty, staff and students.

WINTER HAVEN MAGAZINE

Welcome to Winter Haven, Florida! More than 70,000 people call this community home, 42,800 of which live inside the City limits, taking advantage of its year-round recreation, climate and central location. With a history in citrus, lakes, and Americana rock & roll, the Winter Haven experience is a chorus of modern lifestyle possibilities in harmony with our roots. Winter Haven is where affordable lake living is a reality, and water play is a requirement. It’s a place where there’s a concert on every corner and family excitement in every park. And let’s not forget about Winter Haven’s hometown connection to family-friendly LEGOLAND Florida Resort just around the corner from the City core. The City stretches over 40 square miles, eight of which take the form of sparkling, fun-filled lakes. Winter Haven is known as the Chain of Lakes City with two separate chains of lakes connected by an extensive canal system. With 50 lakes inside the City limits, 22 boat ramps, 14 public docks and 30 waterfront parks, there is a multitude of fresh-water opportunities for both residents and visitors. A complete team of City staff are committed to enriching the lifestyle of our residents and visitors through exceptional service. Our ultimate goal is to be the best City through the relentless pursuit of excellence. We encourage you to visit one of our many events, public facilities, parks, and trails and explore the many opportunities Winter Haven has to offer. The City functions under a commission-manager form of local government. The City Commission consists of five members, elected atlarge, who hold office for four years. Commissioners in office for more than nine months are eligible to serve as Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem, and are elected by the City Commission. While the City Commission acts as the legislative body of the City, the day-to-day operations of the City are directed by the City Manager. We invite you to attend our commission meetings held on the second and fourth Monday of each month in City Hall, as well as become involved in one of the many City committees. Our goal is to listen, learn and improve through citizen engagement. Winter Haven continues to experience steady, quality growth as it transforms into a vibrant and extraordinary community, embracing the values and needs of its residents. Partnerships and a cooperative spirit makes Winter Haven an exceptional destination for new businesses and entrepreneurs looking to relocate. Our dedicated staff looks forward to serving its residents, businesses and visitors as we all enjoy Winter Haven’s special lifestyle. We encourage you make yourself at home. Sincerely, The Commisson and Staff City of Winter Haven
