CALENDAR PARKS EDITOR’S NOTE: Items for the Parks Calendar must be open to the public activities in the parks only and must be submitted by park owners, managers or activity directors. Listings must come from the park and are to be submitted on the Winter Texan Times Parks Calendar Submission Form. Request this form from the Winter Texan Times office. Multiple activities may be submitted on the park’s letterhead, provided the same information is provided in the format of the Submission Form. Visit holiday themed sandcastles Located in the center of the town’s entertainment district and free to view (although donations are welcome), the sculptures are preserved, maintained, and updated on a rotating basis. The village can be seen on west Marlin St. right under the Ferris wheel. The sculpture garden was originally created within a 60’x30’ tent in 2019 by an international crew of sculptures in town for the annual SPI Sandcastle Days. That first year, sculptures had a display and musical light show. The display saw over 35,000 visitors from November through January. There are sculptures at the location year-round now.
