Orders For 30mw Cogeneration Plant In Taiwan
Mitsubishi Power has signed a contract to provide an H-25 gas turbine for the Taiwanese firm Chang Chun Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
The turbine with 30 MW output capacity will be the core of a new high-efficiency, natural gas-fired cogeneration facility at the company’s Miaoli Factory in Miaoli City in the north central region of Taiwan. Operation is scheduled to begin around spring 2025, with the unit supplying power for the company’s factories, and steam for manufacturing processes. This is the 2nd H-25 gas turbine that Mitsubishi Power has supplied to Chang Chun Group.
TWO DIESEL 1,250 KVA GENERATOR SETS DELIVERED TO A HIGHRISE RESIDENTIAL PROJECT IN COLUMBO, SRI LANKA
Trade Promoters Limited (TPL), Sri Lanka’s authorized sole distributor for Cummins Inc., has completed the delivery and installation of two diesel-powered 1250kVA (C1400D5) Cummins diesel generators at 606 The Address apartments in Colombo. The Cummins C1400D5 is a 1400 kVA Three Phase Auto Start 50Hz Open Diesel Generator featuring the Cummins KTA50-G3 engine & Stamford PI734B alternator.
The ability to provide reliable, versatile optimum performance across a number of commercial and industrial deployments is said to ‘come easily’ to the C1400D5 Cummins diesel generator, which combines over a century of engineering expertise with high-level parts to offer the perfect solution for any prime power, continuous duty or stationary standby needs. This generator set also boasts the KTA50 series Cummins diesel engine, rapid response to load changes, PMG (permanent magnet generator) enhanced motor starting and the simple to use PowerCommand® 3.3 microprocessor control system - meaning it provides easy to render industrial power that can be used in even harsh conditions.
NEW MULTIFUNCTIONAL DIESEL GENSET - THE KT29G MEETS THE NEED FOR HIGH POWER DEMAND IN CHINA
Shell Chooses Japanese Hydrogen Plant Contractor
Yokogawa Electric Corporation, an electrical engineering and software company, has announced that it has been selected by Shell Plc to be the main automation contractor (MAC) for the construction of the Holland Hydrogen I plant in the Dutch port of Rotterdam.
The Holland Hydrogen I plant will produce renewable hydrogen by using electricity from an offshore wind farm and will become Europe’s largest renewable hydrogen plant once operational in 2025.
As part of their new role at the plant, Yokogawa will optimise operations at the plant by closely integrating its systems and equipment.
It is estimated that the Holland Hydrogen I plant will have a 200 megawatts (MW) electrolyser that will produce up to 60,000kg of green hydrogen per day.
The green hydrogen produced at this plant will be transported via a pipeline to the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park in Rotterdam, .
Koji Nakaoka, vice president and head of the company’s energy and sustainability business headquarters and global sales headquarters at Yokogawa, said: “In the hydrogen supply chain, there are individual systems for functions such as production, pipeline transport, storage, and supply, each of which is owned by a different entity.”
In late 2022 China-based FUJIAN KATE POWER developed a diesel generator set - the KT29G with a 30G series diesel engine - a product which has been independently developed to meet the high power demands in China, reports the manufacturer.
High boost, cryogenic technology was adopted. It features double pump, double mechanical cooling, efficient cooling characteristics. The product quality is stable and reliable, as well as being environmentally-friendly. It can provide sufficient power, economical efficiency, also superior industrial design. It is now widely used in power generation and special equip - ment industries within Asia. The power range is from 620kW to 1020kW. The genset certainly has an impressive operating temperature range: from -15 ºC to 40 ºC.
The genset offers the following features: automatic startup and automatic loading for the genset in situ.
The unit automatically starts after receiving self-control or remote control startup commands, with the startup success rate of more than 99%.
A typical startup cycle includes three startups, with around 10-15s between two startups; after the unit starts successfully, it achieves automatic loading when the machine oil pressure reaches the specified values and the loading time is usually 10s.
