Former firefighter Mark Fanning, director of ACF Teambuilding & Events, is igniting the events industry by introducing Virtual Online Game
Shows to his clients and to the wider public.
He says, "Teamwork was vital in the fire service as lives depended on it. In any work environment though, situations come up where a team must pull together. That is what our business is all about - helping to build better teams. This year, more than ever, we are adjusting from our normal live events to provide the much-needed fun and staff engagement online. We've worked hard as a group to make sure we are moving with the uncertain times."
ACF, which is one of the region’s top event management companies, has long offered a wide a range of indoor and outdoor events around the South West and has now diversified and added virtual Christmas events from game shows to online cooking workshops to its portfolio of events. They can be adapted to work just as well for families as for companies too.
Mark has built up a huge network of people to help provide the events, as well as working at the Wiltshire Times for five years he has also worked for GWR Radio (now Heart FM). After working with many radio presenters he now employs some of them to help host the online

Sean, wearer of many hats including Director of Southwick Parkrun and former Westbury Town Crier, can often be seen compering ACF's virtual events! Mark joined ACF Hospitality in 2006 as a Sales Director. In 2012 he became the owner, rebranded to become ACF Teambuilding and Events, and expanded the company's offerings to include a huge range of corporate days to suit businesses of all types and sizes. Mark said: “My life experiences have taught me that friends and family always come first, but adding smiles to people's faces comes a very close second. So whether you want a virtual family game show organised, or need to move your work Christmas party online, we have the expertise to help you do it in style!"
