Owners Kevin and Louise Fraser have young children themselves and so know how important it is to get their offering right for families. There is a great sized play area that's perfect for kids under 7 to let off steam and on sunny summer days there is a bouncy castle too. The garden is large and open so parents can keep an eye on their little ones without feeling like they're dining in a playground!
Beyond the garden is a lovely decked area with inviting outdoor sofas that lend themselves perfectly to lazy summer afternoons spent catching up with friends and family whilst enjoying some drinks and some great food. When it comes to food The Westbrook offers great pub classics cooked beautifully using top quality ingredients; keeping the kids happy doesn’t mean compromising on eating well here. They are particularly renowned for their 28-days aged steaks and extra meaty BBQ ribs. Their pork comes from Padfield Porkies in Seend and the ribs are slow roasted with the belly on for 3-4 hours until the meat melts in the mouth, before being topped
with a homemade Guinness BBQ sauce. Delicious! If you fancy trying something a little different there are always their daily specials to sample, each also comes with a helpful wine recommendation to make sure it complements your meal.
Children meanwhile also have a great selection of meals to choose from, with homemade and healthier options available as well as nice touches like children’s cutlery and smaller cups, a simple idea so often overlooked.
