With autumn just around the corner, we begin to notice the evenings getting darker, the colours in nature beginning to show hints of changing and we know the weather will soon get cooler. Many people begin to consider ways to make their home feel more cosy as they retreat indoors more often.
Soft furnishings are an ideal way to lift a room, whether it is as simple as replacing the cushions on the sofas to give a new feel and style to the room, or choosing new curtains or blinds; taking on a new colour scheme, or adding some subtle changes to the existing look! Curtains made with a good hidden thermal lining can make the room cosier and reduce any winter draughts. When considering fabric choices for curtains it is important to consider how heavy you want them to be, whether you want the curtains to sit against the window and how much light you want to block. During a consultation with a client we will discuss the options for fixings, positioning and will discuss any solutions to awkward windows. We also make suggestions for colour schemes, from paint to wallpaper as well as patterned, geometric and plain fabrics. Sometimes it is the missing puzzle piece to pull a room together!
