This winter Lacock Abbey will be inviting families to come over for a visit and step into the wonderful world of Percy the Park Keeper.

In association with the bestselling author and illustrator Nick Butterworth the Percy the Park Keeper’s winter wander will introduce children and their families to the busy park keeper and his animal friends.

Running from Tuesday 4 January to Friday 31 January the self-led trail will invite families to join Percy’s team as he works to keep Lacock Abbey and the animals that live here safe in the winter.

After reading Percy’s handwritten note and donning his famous hat families will follow clues, find Percy’s missing equipment, and enjoy activities and games as they complete the trail. Highlights of the winter wander include helping to keep things tidy for when the springtime shoots appear and surveying Lacock Abbey to find out which animals call this place their home.

At the end of the trail families can celebrate with a photo-op with Percy and they’ll get a special prize too.
