Located in pretty Chinns Court in the centre of Warminster you will find the studio of

Matt Curtis Photography. Working in photography since the late 1990’s, Matt offers a range of photo shoots of various styles from classic and fun family photography, to heritage and fine art portraiture, business profiles and head shots, pets and animals and much more.

“Being a professional photographer is quite possibly the best thing I can do,” says Matt, “and opening Chinns Court Studio has allowed me to be more creative in my own space. I love working with people in the studio to create images that will be proudly displayed on their walls. I’m happy to work on all kinds of projects from family shots to heritage and fine art portraits, maternity and newborn shoots and I’m more than happy to work with your much loved family pet.

“The best part of my job is seeing the reactions when finished photos are revealed for the first time and knowing these portraits will be seen and loved every day for years to come is hugely rewarding. There is something timeless about a beautifully crafted classic portrait where the artist has used light and shade in exactly the right place to produce a stunning image and not just a snap. I am also inspired by photographers like George Hurrell whose lighting was unconventional at the time but produced some of the most memorable images from Hollywood’s golden era.”

Matt’s specialist area is in studio shoots although he is also a fully qualified Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photography for his wedding portfolio. “Wedding photography is a very different discipline,” Matt continues, “and can often be very fast paced so experience and good communication is essential. You also have to remain calm with the presence of mind to ensure the best moments of the day are captured in the best way possible.”

The recent pandemic has meant a lot of weddings have been postponed or been limited in numbers. “I have really enjoyed the smaller weddings over the last couple of years,” Matt explains, “It has allowed me to work closer with the bride and groom to produce some stunning photos that can take pride of place on their walls while group shots and other informal portraits tell the story of the day in their album.” To find out more about how Matt can help you get the best wedding and portrait photos feel free to give him a call, drop him an email or call in to Chinns Court Studio.
