PROGRAM OVERVIEWS

The Wisconsin Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program primarily admits students as sophomores, but does admit up to 10 percent of its student body through a freshman direct-admit program. Students graduate with specialized knowledge gained from 10 majors, two specializations, and one language certificate. A Certificate in Business is available to students in non-business majors. BBA Specializations: • Supply Chain Management • Health Care Management Certificate in Business (for non-business majors)

MAcc The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) programs at the Wisconsin School of Business are for students committed to the field of accounting. Our programs develop the technical and professional accounting skills needed to sit for the CPA exam successfully. We offer two options: GMAcc: Graduate Master of Accountancy IMAcc: Integrated Master of Accountancy

MBA Full-time Wisconsin MBA candidates are admitted directly into one of our 10 career specializations within the Wisconsin MBA Program, allowing them to develop a deep expertise in their chosen fields. Wisconsin Evening MBA candidates typically have more than six years of experience and earn an MBA focused on cross-functional, general management. BuckyNet is your one-stop shop for recruiting students at the Wisconsin School of Business. BuckyNet delivers interactive career services for employers, including searchable online résumé books, the ability to request on-campus interviews, and job postings, as well as the opportunity to register for information sessions, career fairs, and other events. In addition, the Wisconsin School of Business Employer Relations team is here to assist you with your recruiting initiatives throughout the process. Interested in recruiting both BBA and MBA Wisconsin School of Business students? Wisconsin MBA students are now on BuckyNet via the Wisconsin MBA BuckyNet portal. Employers can now interview both BBA and MBA students on the same schedule without posting on two separate recruiting sites. To make recruiting even easier, several UW–Madison career services offices are affiliated with BuckyNet, giving you access to students from dozens of departments and more than 100 majors across the UW–Madison campus. When you post an opportunity on the BuckyNet system, it will be seen by students in the Wisconsin School of Business, the School of Human Ecology, the College of Letters and Science, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the School of Education, and the School of Pharmacy, as well as alumni. On-Campus Interviews If you wish to interview either BBA or MBA candidates at the Wisconsin School of Business in Grainger Hall, log in to BuckyNet and select the appropriate BuckyNet portal for the student population you wish to target, as well as the location for the interviews. • To recruit undergraduate or Master of Accountancy students at the BBA Interview and Program Center, make your reservation at go.wisc.edu/bbabuckynet. • To recruit MBA students at the MBA Career Management Center, make your reservation at go.wisc.edu/mbabuckynet. You can request and manage open or pre-selected campus interviews. We’ll promote your opportunity, provide résumés, schedule interviews, and reserve a room for you at no cost. If travel and resources are an issue, consider virtual interviewing. Reserve an interview room along with phone or Web-based video interviews (video conferencing or Skype) just as you would for an in-person visit.

Career Fairs

RECRUITING RESOURCES

Our career fairs help you meet with a broad cross-section of UW–Madison students interested in careers in business. Our Fall Career and Internship Fair kicks off the fall recruiting season in September, giving you the opportunity to build your campus visibility and connect face-to-face with more than 3,000 students seeking full-time and internship positions. We host the Spring Career and Internship Fair in February to meet your spring recruiting and just-in-time hiring needs. We also offer specialized career fairs for actuarial science/risk management and real estate hiring needs. Registration for all career fairs takes place on BuckyNet. Once you have a BuckyNet account, you will receive email notifications when registration opens up for each career fair. Contact us at wisconsinbba@bus.wisc.edu with any questions.

Employer Information Sessions Employer information sessions are another way you can raise student awareness about your organization and your career opportunities. The Employer Relations team coordinates the scheduling of these sessions on BuckyNet. These events are a great way to share knowledge about specific positions, career paths, qualities you seek in applicants and your training program, as well as a general overview of your company and your recruiting process. Information sessions can be reserved by logging in to BuckyNet and selecting “Request an Employer Information Session.” Employers will receive an email when their reservation is approved. Job Posting Board Our online job posting board serves employers seeking to fill openings that range from entry-level full-time, part-time, and internship positions to high-level executive positions. The BuckyNet job board is viewed by both current UW–Madison students and alumni living and working around the corner and around the world. These 30-day postings are free of charge and a great way to increase the exposure of your organization’s opportunities. RECRUITING RESOURCES

To post a position on our job board, please log in to your BuckyNet account and select “Create Job Board Posting (Non-OCI Posting).” Complete the fields and hit submit. Résumé Books You can also source candidates through the electronic résumé books found on BuckyNet. Online résumé books are a great way to reach out to candidates to create awareness about an upcoming campus recruiting visit. To view résumé books, log in to your BBA or MBA BuckyNet account. Click on the résumé book tab. Select the résumé book you want to search; you can specify a general or detailed search. We advise you to limit your search criteria and refine as necessary.

INCREASING YOUR PRESENCE Workshops and Mock Interviews INCREASING YOUR PRESENCE

The BBA Program and MBA Career Management Center offer a variety of educational programs for students, including employer-facilitated career workshops and mock interviews. These programs provide opportunities for employers to become involved directly with students and increase their brand awareness on campus. Wisconsin BBA Corporate Partners are typically asked first to participate in BBA programming, but we welcome all interested companies. If you are interested in participating in workshops and mock interviews, contact the appropriate program at wisconsinbba@bus.wisc.edu or mbacareers@bus.wisc.edu.

Internships Build a pipeline of talented new hires for your organization through an internship program. Student interns can bring a fresh perspective to your organization and to the task at hand. When they get back to campus, they share their experience with other students, which can enhance your image and increase your talent pool for future positions. Badger Business Job Shadow Program The Wisconsin BBA’s Badger Business Job Shadow Program offers employers the opportunity for newly admitted freshmen and sophomores in the Wisconsin School of Business to experience an up-close look at a company or industry by shadowing professionals through a typical day on the job. Student Organizations and the Accenture Leadership Center

The Wisconsin School of Business has more than 50 undergraduate student organizations and 19 graduate student organizations. These student-led groups can be invaluable in helping you publicize your recruiting activities, special programs, and specific employment opportunities through membership presentations, on-site visits, case competitions, and networking events. Another opportunity to be involved with students is through our Accenture Leadership Center (ALC). The ALC offers undergraduate students unique, hands-on opportunities to develop leadership skills during their undergraduate careers. LOGISTICS Interviews will be held at the BBA Program Office and Interview Center (3290 Grainger Hall) or the MBA Career Management Center (2450 Grainger Hall) depending on the candidate population. Parking LOGISTICS

Recruiters in need of parking for their on-campus recruiting visits at the Wisconsin School of Business are encouraged to contact a member of the BBA or MBA Employer Relations team to request parking for Lot 7 under Grainger Hall. Recruiters may request one permit per schedule, and the name of each recruiter is required at the time the reservation is made. For recruiters without advance reservations or who have additional parking needs, limited parking may be available the day of your visit in Lot 7 or at the Fluno Center (Lot 83).
