This year’s recipient is Tim Tebow, a two-time national champion, first-round NFL draft pick, Heisman Trophy winner, Christian servant leader, and philanthropist. He was chosen to receive the award based on his willingness to boldly proclaim his Christian values in a very public way and in the face of criticism for his beliefs. Tebow also exemplifies servant leadership by his humble approach in sharing his blessings through philanthropic efforts and seeks to glorify God with his actions.
