Healing Hands Scholarship

Major: Dual-Degree ProgramSport and Exercise Science/ Doctor of Physical Therapy (Rosalind Franklin University)

Hometown: Waukegan, Illinois

“I was born in Illinois but I come from an immigrant family from Honduras. My parents have been working hard to provide me with the best education possible for my career aspirations in the medical field. However, this family dream could not have become a reality without your generosity, compassion, and belief in students like me. Ultimately, your generosity has provided me with the best opportunity that anyone could have ever asked for, namely, an education rooted in faith and Scripture. Thanks to your generous financial support, I have been afforded the opportunity to see God's craftsmanship and His fingerprints through the various aspects of the sciences, especially the health sciences.”

Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing Scholarship

Major: Nursing Hometown: Waterloo, Wisconsin

“Even with working multiple jobs, the financial burden of tuition is heavy. Yet it is completely worth the struggle – going to a school in which I can grow both my academic mind and spiritual life is a blessing I don’t take for granted. Thanks to you, that financial burden is eased. Words can’t convey my gratitude. I could never be where I am (or who I am) without WLC’s connections, love, and support. It truly is a beautiful place. Because of you and the opportunities I have received here, I am building a life that I love.”

Above and Beyond Education Scholarship

Major: Elementary Education

Hometown: Northbrook, Illinois

“Because of your generosity, I have been able to pursue a higher education here at WLC as I prepare for my dream job as a teacher. I strongly believe in putting God at the center of all that I do - from my thoughts to my words to my actions. With his guidance, I found myself at WLC, where I was blessed to be able to continue playing softball while pursuing a degree. My hope is that God uses my vast love for working with children combined with my love for learning to create a classroom for my students in which they learn and grow as followers of Christ.”

Caleb Needham ’27

William and Jean Curtis Scholarship

Majors: Digital Marketing and Music

Hometown: Saginaw, Michigan

“Attending Wisconsin Lutheran College has been a great blessing for me. I have grown so much personally, academically, and spiritually since arriving a year ago. None of this would be possible without help from generous donors like yourself. On top of a busy workload between my classes, on-campus job, and teaching lessons, I am living hundreds of miles from home. Yet WLC has been the home-away-from-home I need, and I have met many amazing people here. Thank you for your willingness to support my college education at WLC, and ultimately for preparing me for the future in whatever career I end up in.”
