Overview
Phosphatidylserine powder, also known as PS, is a phospholipid nutrient found in fish, green leafy vegetables, soybeans and rice, and is essential for the normal functioning of neuronal cell membranes and activates Protein kinase C (PKC) which has been shown to be involved in memory function. In apoptosis, phosphatidyl serine is transferred to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane. This is part of the process by which the cell is targeted for phagocytosis. Phosphatidylserine(PS) has been shown to slow cognitive decline in animal models. PS has been investigated in a small number of double-blind placebo trials and has been shown to increase memory performance in the elderly. Because of the potentail cognitive benefits of phosphatidylserine, the substance is sold as a dietary supplement to people who believe they can benefit from an increased intake.

Phosphatidylserine powder General Description
Phosphatidylserine (PS) powder is an essential component of all neuronal membranes. Human research suggests PS may help support overall brain wellness. Phosphatidylserine (PS) powder helps maintain healthy cortisol levels and is beneficial for memory and concentration. Phosphatidylserine Powder is an excellent delivery system for children and the elderly who may have difficulty swallowing capsules.PS powder has virtually no taste and will dissolve into applesauce or any food. 2/5

Phosphatidylserine powder (51446-62-9) History
Phosphatidylserine(PS) is a dietary supplement that has received some interest as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s disease and other memory problems. Several studies with phosphatidylserine indicate improved cognitive abilities and behaviors. However, improvements lasted only a few months and were seen in people with the least severe symptoms. Initially, phosphatidylserine supplements were derived from the brain cells of cows. But because of concerns about mad cow disease, most manufacturers now produce the supplements from soy or cabbage derivatives. Preliminary studies have shown that plant-based phosphatidylserine supplements may also offer benefits, but more research is needed. However, no modern studies have continued to focus on phosphatidylserine, suggesting its limited effect.

Phosphatidylserine Mechanism Of Action
Phosphatidylserine(PS) is an important chemical with widespread functions in the body. It is part of the cell structure and is key in the maintenance of cellular function, especially in the brain. -Essential component in cell lipid membranes -Signaling agent for apoptosis -Increases aerobic capacity, possibly through hormone regulation -Can be converted to other phospholipids including phosphatidylcholine -Involved in neurotransmitter modulation and intercellular communication -Enhances brain glucose metabolism -Global enhancement of mental function shown on EEG -Increases NGF activity

Phosphatidylserine Application
As we age, most of us lose some of our memory function. Brain function is at its peak in our 20s, and then naturally declines throughout the rest of our lives. In our 40s we often begin to notice subtle changes in our brain function and memory. This 3/5

decrease may be caused by the depletion of nutrients that help maintain the integrity of the membrane of brain cells, which is the cell’s protective outer layer. Phosphatidylserine(PS) helps maintain healthy cortisol levels and is beneficial for memory and concentration. Our bodies can make phosphatidylserine, but in far from ideal quantities; also, our natural production of Phosphatidylserine(PS) powder decreases as we age. Pharmaceutical and Health Product To help repair brain damage.Phosphatidylserine is one of the major components of brain nerve, it has activity in making various enzymes of the brain nutrient and active. Food additive Phosphatidylserine Powder can be applied in food field, it is added into kinds of beverage, liquor and foods as functional food additive. And phosphatidylserine excellence in children’s educational effect, so will be added in the milk powder for children. For dietary supplements to improve brain function, Prevent Alzheimer’s disease and improve memory. For functional drinks to ease the pressure of study and work, promote the recovery of brain fatigue and balance of emotions. For infant formula milk, dairy products to improve the brain cell membrane, improve intelligence; focus attention and avoid children with ADHD.

Phosphatidylserine More research
Phosphatidylserine(PS) powder is a phospholipid and a component of the cell membrane. It plays a key role in cell cycle signaling, specifically in relationship to apoptosis. Studies have provided evidence that PS may increase attention, improve memory and processing speed, and support overall cognitive health. Improvements were most pronounced in those who were fatigued. Phosphatidylserine(PS) may also assist with reducing stress by lowering cortisol levels. Consult your physician before taking this product.
