Pyridoxal HCL Powder (65-22-5)
Overview Pyridoxal HCL powder is one form of vitamin B6. Some medically relevant bacteria, such as those in the genera Granulicatella and Abiotrophia, require pyridoxal for growth. This nutritional requirement can lead to the culture phenomenon of satellite growth. In in vitro culture, these pyridoxal-dependent bacteria may only grow in areas surrounding colonies of bacteria from other genera ("satellitism") that are capable of producing pyridoxal. Pyridoxal HCL powder is involved in what is believed to be the most ancient reaction of aerobic metabolism on Earth, about 2.9 billion years ago, a forerunner of the Great Oxidation Event

Pyridoxal hydrochloride powder(Pyridoxal
HCL powder) has been
used as a calibrant for liquid chromatography of food samples. It has also been used as a component of arginine decarboxylase broth[3] and lysine decarboxylase broth (LDB) for culturing lactic acid bacteria (LAB) andfood-borne pathogens (FBP), respectively. Pyridoxal HCL Powder General Description Pyridoxal-phosphate (PLP, pyridoxal-5′-phosphate, P5P) is a prosthetic group of certain enzymes. PLP is also the active form of vitamin B6, which comprises three natural organic compounds, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. This co-factor acts as an electron sink to stabilize carbanionic intermediates in both substitution and elimination reactions involving aminated compounds.
PLP acts as a coenzyme in all transamination reactions, and in certain decarboxylation, deamination, and racemization reactions of amino acids.
PLP plays a role in the conversion of levodopa into dopamine, facilitates the conversion of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate to the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, and allows SAM to be decarboxylated to form propylamine, which is a precursor to polyamines.

Pyridoxal HCL powder interacts with cysteine of cathepsins and inhibits their activity. It elicits protective function in cornu Ammonis (CA) 1 neurons during ischemia.
Pyridoxal HCL Powder (65-22-5) Application Pyridoxal HCL powder is used in labeling of amino acids for their detection. It finds application in neurotransmitters, sphingolipids and aminolevulinic acid. It is also used as a nutritional agent. It is also applied in research studies like biochemical, drugs and in media supplements. Pyridoxal is one of the three natural forms of vitamin B6, along with pyridoxamine and pyridoxine. All of these forms are converted in the human body into a single biologically active form, Pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P991715). Green plants are a natural source of Pyridoxal, and its deficiency in the human body can lead to serious complications such as epilepsy and seizures.
