Telangana Assembly Elections 2018: Reasons Why It Won’t Be a Cakewalk Win for TRS India’s youngest state Telangana is going to polls on December 7 and the approaching assembly elections will be the first ever, after the state was separated of Andhra Pradesh on June 2, 2014. The results would be announced on November 11.
Triumphant in Previous Elections In previous elections, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) emerged as the largest party by winning 63 out of 119 seats, which were held in then undivided Andhra Pradesh in April-May 2014. The Indian National Congress (INC) was limited to 21 seats and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) with its then alliance partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), secured 20 seats (five BJP and 15 TDP), while the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) secured seven and others eight. Currently, TRS is making an effort to keep hold of its power in the state while the Congress is trying to get back its lost bastion. The BJP is also in the ballot battle to make its presence felt.
the ‘pink’ party in this battle of the ballot:
Prajakutami
“TRS still have an edge, but the main Opposition - the Congress-led alliance - is catching up fast,” political analyst K Nageshwar said in talks with Moneycontrol.
KCR and his party, TRS, were confident of the ‘there is no alternative’ or the TINA factor and were widely believed to be able to retain Telangana when they dissolved the assembly in September. However, a lot has changed on the ground in the past three months. The surprise emergence of an alliance between Congress, TDP, TJS (Telangana Jana Samithi) and CPI (Communist Party of India) under ‘Prajakutami’ banner was able to tap the simmering discontent against the TRS government, among youth and tenant farmers.
He shared several conditions that might go against
If it makes an impact on the voting conduct
But the question is who will win the polls? According to political experts, TRS commands a lead, but the opposition alliance under Prajakutami banner is fast closing that gap.
of the Telangana people, winning the election would not be hands-down for the TRS.
Welfare Schemes TRS leaders and candidates, along with conducting massive poll campaign across the state, are promoting welfare schemes introduced by the state government, but then, these schemes might as well be a drawback for the party. According to Nageshwar, beneficiaries of the schemes may perhaps be inclined towards TRS but non-beneficiaries are very critical of the government. Even the beneficiaries can turn up against the government given the fact that these schemes increase expectations, which beats the satisfaction level of beneficiaries. In such cases, if other parties announce better schemes, even the existing beneficiaries can be wooed and may vote in favor of any party other than the TRS, he said.
Anti-Incumbency Many TRS Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are drawing flak in their respective constituencies for not being within reach and performing below expectation. Asked the
ground behind it, Nageshwar said the MLAs are weak as power has been concentrated in the hands of KCR and his family members. According to him, KCR could not build a robust organization in the state. “He (KCR) believed that the sentiments made him win in 2014 and he thinks that his own popularity will make him win this time. So, the candidates are weak. If the party wins the polls, it will be KCR’s personal charisma, but how long will it remain?” he quips. Even KCR’s son and state minister KT Rama Rao agreed that there was anti-incumbency feeling against some leaders of the party. He, however, believed that it will not impact the party’s chances in assembly polls as it will be “eclipsed” by the image of his father. “People realize that this is the election where KCR (as the chief minister is popularly known as) gets elected as chief minister. For that to happen, they have to vote for MLAs. Whatever anti-incumbency or dissatisfaction that could be against incumbent MLAs, that will be eclipsed by KCR,” Rao told PTI.
Men’s Hockey World Cup: Indian Hockey Team Capable of Creating History, Says Coach
The 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup kicked off on November 27, which is being held from 28 November to 16 December at the Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneshwar, India. The coach, during the inauguration, has not squandered the chance to manifest his confidence on the Indian team. Hockey coach Harendra Singh said: “It’s a team that can create history”. He did not agree with a question that team is inexperienced saying “It’s a team that can create history. You have to have patience. Selectors have considered these players good enough to wear India colors, be proud of it. Every player in the team understands it.” Asked how he fancied his team’s chances, he said “Did anyone think Ireland will reach women’s WC final and Croatia make it to FIFA WC final. Every team works on their strategy. It’s about that particular day.” He evidently did not like a question on defeat in the Asian Games saying, “The hard fact is all of us have forgotten Asian Games defeat and you should also forget. We learn from history, gain
experience but there is no point recalling it. We don’t even talk about it now in our meetings.” Asked about the format of this world cup, where there is a long gap between team’s matches, he replied “to be frank as a coach I support this format. Hockey is a fast game, result oriented, highly demanding. Unfortunately, earlier we used to play the next match in 24 hours. Whenever it used to happen, we never got the desired result. It helps to bring the team into the renewed mood. You come back with a fresh mind and legs. You can play at the same intensity, the margin of error reduces.” The inauguration ceremony witnessed the biggest ever drone flying show in India. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups, each containing four teams. Each team plays each other team in its group once. The first-place team in each group advances to the quarter-finals, while the second- and third-placed teams in each group go into the crossover matches. From there on a singleelimination tournament will be played.

Practice Mindful Eating
Snack on Almonds
When we are not eating mindfully, it becomes hard for the brain to decipher how much one has consumed which is exactly why we often end up eating more than we intended. Focusing solely on the food ends up helping us decrease our hunger and promote eating just as much as we need.
It is not like that just the consumption of just almonds is effectively going to act as a natural appetite suppressant but snacking on this instead of something unhealthy is definitely one of the best ways to keep your hunger, appetite, and weight in check. Snack on almonds whenever you feel hungry.
Drink Coffee
Consume Chia Seeds
Study shows that drinking coffee triggers the release of the hormone Peptide YY which has beneficial effects in suppressing and regulating our appetite. It induces a feeling of fullness in a person which is exactly what contributes to stopping you from overeating.
It is believed that it is the rich fiber content in the Chia seeds that make people feel full for a longer stretch of time. Chia seeds also increase one’s satiety and helps curb the short-term hunger pangs that often end up contributing to overeating.

to Protect Work Authorization
of H-1B Spouses
The H-4 Employment Protection Act, a legislation seeking to stop Trump administration from revoking the work authorization of spouses of H1-B visa holders, which include Indians, has been introduced in the United States Congress by two lawmakers. The lawmakers said eliminating this benefit would force many foreign workers to use their talent to compete against American businesses. H-4 visas are given to the spouses of H-1B foreign workers. The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa through which many Indians workers are employed in the U.S. companies. It allows the U.S. firms to hire foreign workers in specialty occupations that need theoretical or WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
technical expertise and is the most sought-after visa among Indian tech professionals. H-4 visas are issued solely to very close or immediate family members of the H-1B visa holders. The move by lawmakers Anna G Eshoo and Zoe Lofgren to introduce the legislation come amid resolution by the Trump administration to revoke
an Obama-era rule that lasts work authorization to the partners of H-1B visa holders. Since the rule was implemented, more than one lakh workers, chiefly women from India, have received employment authorization, improving the American competitiveness and lessening the economic burden on thousands of H-1B workers and their families, the two lawmakers said after presenting the bill in the house. The H-4 Employment Protection Act prohibits the Trump administration from
revoking this important rule, which it is expected to do by the end of the year, they said. “Protecting work authorization for these H-4 visa holders is a matter of both economic fairness and family unity,” Eshoo said. “Eliminating this benefit would create a painful choice for many immigrants to either split up their families or return to their home countries and use their talents to compete against American businesses,” Eshoo said. “These are American citizens-in-waiting, stuck in line for their number to
come up,” Congressman Lofgren said. “Prohibiting H-1B dependent spouses from working is of no benefit to our country, and if allowed to move forward, many of these families that can contribute so much to our workforce will simply move to countries with a more sensible approach to immigration. This muchneeded bill will block the Trump administration from needlessly harming our economy and the lives of skilled immigrant families,” Lofgren said.

As India Becomes Richer More Indians Leaving Country India has turned to be wealthier and more of its citizens are leaving its shores. According to an IndiaSpend analysis of data from the United Nations Department of Economic Affair, an estimated 17 million Indians were living abroad in 2017, making India the ample source country for international migrants worldwide, up from seven million in 1990 and a 143 percent increase. should be worried about a rise in “brain drain”. The above figures refer to unskilled migrants traveling on Emigration Check Required (ECR) passports - passports issued by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs to those leaving for employment in certain countries in Southeast Asia and Middle. Changes in the government criteria used to classify workers as unskilled, leading to more migrants traveling on non-ECR passports, could be part of the reason for the declining trend. “Over the years India has made internal adjustments to who gets an ECR passport. A lot of people are entitled to non-ECR passports and take that route to migrate instead - this is data which is not publicly available and therefore cannot be analyzed,” Seeta Sharma, Technical Officer (ILO) for EU-India Cooperation and Dialogue on Migration and Mobility, told IndiaSpend.
Over the same period, India’s per capita income increased by 522 percent (from $1,134 to $7,055), giving more people the means to travel abroad in hunt of employment opportunities they were not found at home. Simultaneously, the number of unskilled migrants leaving the country has been decreasing: An estimated 391,000 left India in 2017, almost half the number in 2011 (637,000), according to a new report by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). However, this does not necessarily mean that an increasing proportion of India’s emigrants are likely to be higher skilled or that policymakers
International emigration generally rises with economic development as more people acquire the financial means to travel abroad, and only begins to reduce when countries reach upper-middleincome status. Labor demand driven by constrained local employment markets is a key motivation for international migration, with 73 percent of all migrants globally entering the workforce in their host country, the ADB report found. 1990-2017, India witnessed waves of skilled and unskilled labor emigration. Indians living in Qatar increased 82,669 percent - from 2,738 to 2.2 million - over 27 years to 2017, more than in any other country. In the two years between 20152017, the Indian population in Qatar more than tripled.

Oman (688 percent) and the United Arab Emirates (622 percent) also feature in the top 10 countries for the largest increases in Indian residents between 1990-2017, while in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, over seven years to 2017, Indian populations rose by 110 percent and 78 percent, respectively. These figures reflect the response of Indian workers to rapidly expanding economies in the Gulf, buoyed by rising oil prices. As these oil-rich nations embarked on large-scale development projects, workers from India and other South Asian countries answered the call for the growing number of construction jobs needing to be filled. However, recent global economic lags have slowed migrant flows from India into the region. Declining crude oil terms and the resulting spending cuts on building
Lawmakers Introduce Bill projects and the slowing economies explain the falling numbers of Indians preferring to travel to the region, as jobs dwindle and wages contract. While traditional host countries for Indian migrants, such as the Gulf states, United States and the United Kingdom, remain the countries with the highest Indian populations, over the last decade, OECD countries have seen a significant increase in the number of Indians choosing to settle within their borders. Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, for example, have seen their Indian populations grow by 66, 56 and 42 percent, respectively, over seven years to 2017. They are cheaper and have better educational opportunities.”For example, Germany has the free education and there’s the potential to land a job in the country after university too, so you’re seeing a shift in migration,” Sharma said. Quickly aging populations across the West will further create a demand for migrant labor, as foreign workers fill employment gaps left by falling birth rates in many developed countries. India is well placed to benefit from this demand. Half of all countries worldwide

now have fertility rates below 2.1, meaning too few children are being born to hold their population size. In the short term, however, changing political environments and increasingly hostile attitudes to foreign migration may have an impact on the acceptability of Indian migrant workers taking up these jobs. The identity and socioeconomic background of Indian emigrants is changing. Southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu have been traditional sources of migrant workers to the
Middle East and Southeast Asia, departing on ECR passports. However, in recent years, northern Indian and less economically advanced states have overtaken their southern counterparts for the numbers of typically low-skilled male youth leaving for overseas work. Uttar Pradesh took the lead for the highest number of emigrants since 2011, followed by Bihar and Tamil Nadu, while the number of migrants from Kerala declined 69 percent over six years, from around 80,000 in 2011 and 2013 to under 25,000 in 2017. “Migration trends have shifted,” Sharma said. “For example, if you’re from Kerala, it may no longer be so lucrative to go to the Gulf. But for someone sitting in Bihar earning a third of what a Keralite earns, it
still makes sense.” However, while these data show the numbers from each state leaving on ECR passports, they do not indicate how many have switched to non-ECR passports. Kerala may still be seeing sizable numbers of its population emigrate despite a decline in 2016 and 2017 in the ECR category. Indeed, Kerala received 19 percent of all remittances (funds sent by an expatriate to their country of origin) received in India in 2016-17, closely followed by Maharashtra (17 percent) and Karnataka (15 percent), according to RBI (Reserve Bank of India) data. India received the largest remittances worldwide in 2017, with approximately $70 billion landing in the country’s banks accounts. DECEMBER 2018 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

American Missionary Killed by Tribe on Remote Indian Island
An American visitor to one of the islands in India’s remote Andaman and Nicobar chain has been killed by a community of hunter-gatherers who live there isolated from the outside world.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
The North Sentinel Island, off-bounds to visitors, is home to the Sentinelese, who killed the American, identified as the 37-year-old John Allen Chau after he was illegally ferried there by fishermen. “A murder case has been registered,” one of the officials told Reuters. Both officials sought anonymity as they are not authorized to speak to the media. “We are aware of reports concerning a U.S. citizen in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,” a spokeswoman for the United States consulate in India’s southern city of Chennai said in an email. “When a U.S. citizen is missing, we work closely with local authorities as they carry out their search efforts,” she added but declined to provide further details over privacy concerns.
the next day by the fishermen on their coming back has not yet been retrieved, the official added, although the fishermen who took him there have been arrested.
One of the police sources said Chau, who had made previous visits to the islands, had a strong desire to meet the Sentinelese.
In a post on John Chau’s Instagram account, posted by the man’s family made several claims about John Chau’s adventure along with a demand from them.
Chau hired a fishing dinghy and, aided by the fishermen, reached the vicinity of the island on November 16, before transferring to a canoe, the official said. His body, which was spotted
The post firstly confirms that John Chau belonged to a Christian missionary and had “nothing but love for the Sentinelese people.” It also says that the American ventured out on his free will and that his local contacts
need not be persecuted for his own actions. The family, through the post, said they “forgive those reportedly responsible for his death and asked for the release of those “friends” he had in the Andaman Islands. Police have roped in field experts including Indian anthropologists, and tribal welfare and forest officers to help them tackle the situation.

The island located in the Andaman and Nicobar consists of Sentinelese people, who say no to any contact with the outside world. The island is deprived of any scientific or technological developments, and people living in the islands are among the last people to remain virtually untouched by modern civilization. The island is located in the Bay of Bengal, 50 Kilometer west of Port Blair. The island is entirely covered by forest, surrounded by coral reefs. Inhabited by Sentinelese with an estimated population between 40 to 300, the island is considered a sovereign area under the protection of Indian government. The Indian government has also maintained 3 nautical miles (5.6 kilometers) exclusion zone along the island. U.S. District Judge Bars
Trump Order Denying Asylum to Illegal A federal judge has put a temporary ban to a Trump administration order denying the prospect of asylum to people who enter the United States illegally. The United States President Donald Trump issued the announcement in October as a matter of what he called national security as a U.S.bound caravan of Central American migrants made its way through Mexico toward the U.S. border. The U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar in San Francisco issued an impermanent restraining order against the Trump announcement, therefore

granting a request from human rights advocacy groups which had sued soon after the order was announced. The American Civil Liberties Union says the U.S. law stipulates that the right to request asylum must be granted to anyone entering the country, irrespective of whether they do so at an official port of entry or come in illegally. Trump’s administration has argued that he has the executive power to curb immigration in the name of national security - a power he raised right after taking office earlier this year with
a controversial ban on travelers from several for the most part Muslim countries. The concluding version of the order was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on June 26 after a drawn-out legal battle. When the new policy was proclaimed by the Department of Homeland Security on November 8, a senior administration official said it would address what he called the “historically unparalleled abuse of our immigration system” along the border with Mexico.

Asked if he believed climate change had played any part in the fires, Trump again pointed to the forest “management factor” and insisted that his “strong opinion” remained unchanged. Trump has long been disbelieving of man’s role in global warming despite rising scientific evidence that the burning of fossil fuels is heating the planet and leading to more extreme weather. The inferno erupted November 8, laying waste to Paradise in the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and sending thousands fleeing. The Camp Fire and another huge blaze have created an earnest smoke difficulty across vast areas of the country’s largest state.
Senior fire officials recounted how rapidly the blaze spread, complicating evacuation efforts, as Trump studied a huge map spread across a table showing where fires continue to burn. Reviving an earlier controversy, Trump repeated his claim that California had mismanaged its forests and was, for the most part, to blame for the fires. “I’m committed to making sure that we get all of this cleaned out and protected, (we’ve) got to take care of the forest, it’s very important,” Trump said in Paradise. A graduate of the Indian School of Business (ISB), Arora played a key role in closing the acquisition of WhatsApp. Neeraj Arora is an IIT Delhi, ISB graduate who has previously worked with top internet firms including Paytm and Google. Prior to joining WhatsApp, Arora worked with Google. “It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since Jan (Koum) and Brian (Acton) got me onboard at WhatsApp, and it has been one hell of a ride,” Arora said in a post on Tuesday. “I am deeply indebted to Jan and Brian, who entrusted me to be their business companion for so many years,” he added. In a jolt to Facebook in May, WhatsApp co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Koum decided to recede amid reports that he had a difference of opinion with
parent company Facebook over data privacy, encryption, and some other issues and then Arora was rumored to be the frontrunner to replace Koum as CEO. Another WhatsApp co-founder Acton made his highly-publicized exit from Facebook in 2017. “It’s time to move on, but I can not be more proud of how WhatsApp continues to touch people in so many different ways every day,” Arora said. “I am confident that WhatsApp will continue to be the simple, secure and trusted communication product for years to come,” he added. Will
Modi Win This
Election of 2019?
Electing a leader for the nation is right of every citizen. The coming elections are making the Nation think over this to elect the one among them. The manifestos and meeting of politicians are going high without any breaks and stops. Many surveys are conducted to analyze the future leaders of the next five years. The biggest question in every Indian’s mind is who is going to win this time.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
This is extremely common to think over and over as we are electing our leader and our vote is going to make a difference. Will may get the analysis from any survey and just estimate to ourselves in groups. But still, we all wait for the results of elections. Estimations can go wrong or become true but they’re not going to stop until the results of elections are revealed out officially. Analysis and surveys have proved something real sometimes. So, it is good to go with the analysis until the reality comes out. General Elections of 2019 are due to conduct in India, in April/May. 17th Lok Sabha Elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general elections. In 16th Lok Sabha Elections 2014, BJP won by 51.22%
competing with many other parties. The number of members was 273.
Why Narendra Modi will 2019 Elections? Modi’s performance may bring him back in this time elections. Of course, leaders good work can only make people elect them. The big changes and implementations of Modi made a good mark in people’s heart? The updated GST gained many critics all over the nation. Many of them were against the updated GST. Modi’s view or plan to update GST was to eliminate cascading of taxes on the production and distribution of prices of goods and services.
Jan Dhan Yojana: Jan Dhan Yojana propelled by PM Modi has prompted in excess
of 30 crore individuals joining the banking system, in excess of 18 crores of the said accounts have been opened in rustic/semiurban zones meaning it has prevailed in its objective of profiting the last individual. It is the biggest financial inclusion initiative in the world. Swacch Bharat: Swacch Bharat or Clean India which promoted clean streets and strive to make India open defecation free by providing toilets for every household is another project which has been highly successful. Over six crore toilets were built in rural areas. The many other schemes that were implemented by Modi in last few years may call Modi back in this elections in 2019. For what is the flush of youth, if it is not of service to the motherland” In this quote, Bhagat Singh is giving a message to all the youth that we must take steps to do something for our motherland and the phase of our youth is pointless if we do not feel the pinch to be at the service for our country. The Day Of Kargil War: The Kargil war was opened in May 1999, which was announced by the troops of Pakistani and Kashmiri militants. Both the troops of Pakistani and Kashmiri militants were allowed into the Line of Control, of Kargil district after the conspired plan. It was a shocking attacking that led to biggest conflict and became The Kargil War and also named as Operation Vijay. The intrusion into the area, that divided the Indian territory of Ladakh from the northern areas of the state.
The Sinner Behind Kargil War: The initiator of the war was Pervez Musharraf, the Army Chief Of Pakistan
at that time. Without a word with the PM Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf made up the conspiracy well and just executed the plan with the troop. There was a full support from Lieutenant General Mohammed Aziz for Pervez Musharraf’s plan to go live. > It is said that Musharraf executed the plan while Atal Bihari Vajpayee had responded to Nawaz Sharif’s invitation to Lahore and where the duo signed the Lahore declaration.
Kargil, A war of weapons: It was all set to attack each other from India and Pakistan with well-equipped weapons. The 18,000 feet high-altitude battle in the rocky terrain was fought under extremely low temperatures, in a conventional manner, despite
both sides possessing nuclear weapons. India positioned five infantry divisions, five independent brigades and 44 battalions of paramilitary troops to Kashmir and further deployed 60 frontline aircraft.
THE INDIAN AIR FORCE On May 24, 1999, it was decided that the operation would be joined by the Indian Air Force (IAF). However, it was stressed that the IAF would not cross the LOC at any cost. PAKISTAN’S Answer On the War: On September 2007, Nawaz Sharif (Pakistani PM) confessed his counterpart Atal Bihari Vajpayee, that he was unaware of the conflict until it was executed. Nawaz Sharif also confessed that he was unaware that Pervez Musharraf is the initiator of the war. he digital landscape has put increased pressure on teenagers today, and we feel it. There are so many social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblre, you name it and you have lot more option. I made a conscious decision to avoid Snapchat and Instagram because of the social pressure I saw them putting on my 14-year-old little sister.
DECEMBER 2018 | WWW.WISHESH.COM
TECHNOLOGY If my mum turned off the WiFi at 11pm, my sister would beg me to turn my phone into a hotspot. She always needed to load her Snapchat stories one more time, or to reply to a message that had come in two minutes ago because she didn’t want her friend to feel ignored. If I refused, saying she could respond in the morning, I’d get the “You’re ruining my social life” speech. Even as a teenager as well, I sometimes find this craze a little baffling. A new study has found that teenagers who engage with social media during the night could be damaging their sleep and increasing their risk of anxiety and depression. Teenagers spoke about the pressure they felt to make themselves available 24/7, and the resulting anxiety if they did not respond immediately to texts or posts. Teens are so emotionally invested in social media that a fifth of 114 secondary school pupils will wake up at night and log on, just to make sure they don’t miss out. People react not as much strongly to malicious speech on digital platforms, believing that such abuses on social media triggers less harm than in personal interactions, a study has found. People are more willing to abuse and use menacing language online than in person, especially when there is the protection of anonymity behind a computer, according to research and experience from online forums to community groups.”Many of us are taken aback when people like Milo Yiannopoulos target and harass people on Twitter, then go on TV and say that digital words don’t hurt anyone,” said Curtis Puryear, from the University of South Florida.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
“Yet our data finds that Yiannopoulos’s perspective resonates with many of us to some degree,” said Puryear, lead author of the study published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science.”We expect people to be less hurt by malicious words in certain digital contexts, and we respond with less outrage. This may make it easy to discount the experiences of victims of online harassment,” he said. Researchers tested people’s reactions to negative situations and comment through with four studies, analyzing reactions to despiteful comments made in personal and various online environments. In one study of 270 students, people saw an image of someone involved in “nerd culture,” with a comment of “go back to your mommy’s basement nerd,” in one of three environments: face-to-face; online with social information, such as photos and names, or online with little social information. In another study, of 283 people, participants read a remark insulting a woman for making a comment about infrastructure and were presented with the negative comment being made on an online forum with little social information or as taking place at a
The cues that help to identify people as individuals, can be diminished in the online environment, suggests Puryear. This lack of “personalization” can suppress the social cues that tell people someone is a victim, making observers less probable to experience ire or act on behalf of the victim. Another part of the dulled reactions to comments comes from what one could recount as “numbing,” either through the downright volume of reports of harassment online or from over-exposure of online harassment.
public event. Through each study, people expressed more concern and reaction to negative comments stated in person than to those stated in a digital environment. Comparing the digital environments, they found mixed results. The existence of more social information, from names to photos, brought about more reactions to unhealthy comments. However, even when people are identifiable, they found initial evidence that inflammatory speech is less shocking in digital contexts.
As more moral and social cues are communicated online, could people’s attitudes change and begin to reflect standards akin to in-person situations. The results depend on how we shape our online communities, researchers said. Building digital platforms that depersonalize users and encourage norms accepting of malicious speech may more and more dull our responses to victimization. “But if our norms and expectations begin to reflect that digital words really do matter then the disparity between how we react to victimization in digital and physical space may fade,” said Puryear.

Trump Asks General Motors to Stop Manufacturing Cars in China 116

AUTOMOBILES Reacting aggressively, Trump asked the General Motors to review its decision, which the auto major said would help it save around USD 4.5 billion in costs by the end of 2020. The decision will have a major impact on jobs in some of the key states like Ohio and Michigan. According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump told the GM chief executive Mary Barra that she should stop making cars in China and open a new plant in Ohio to replace the one that is ending production.
118
“They better damn well open a new plant there very quickly,” Trump told The Wall Street Journal in an interview. “I love Ohio. I told them, ‘You’re playing around with the wrong person’,” he said, referring to his talks with the GM leadership. Earlier at the White House, the U.S. President said he does not like the GM’s decision. “We don’t like it. I believe they’ll be opening up something else. I was very tough (with GM leadership). I spoke with her when I heard they were closing. And I said, ‘You know, this country has done a lot for General Motors. You better get back in there soon. That’s Ohio, and you better get back in there soon’,” Trump said. “So, we have a lot of pressure on them. You have senators, you have a lot of other people - a lot of pressure. They say the Chevy Cruze is not selling well. I say, ‘Well, then get somebody - get a car that is selling well and put it back in’. So I think you’re going to see something else happen there, but I’m not happy about WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
it,” he said. Noting that their car is not selling well, Trump exuded confidence that soon they will put something else. “I have no doubt that, in a not-too-distant future, they’ll put something else. They better put something else in,” he said. Barra defended the decision of the General Motors. “The actions we are taking today continue our transformation to be highly agile, resilient and profitable while giving us the flexibility to invest in the future,” Barra said. “We recognize the need to stay in front of changing market conditions and customer preferences to position our company for long-term success,” she added. “These actions will increase the longterm profit and cash generation potential of the company and improve resilience through the cycle,” Barra said.

Scores of Indian-Americans, chiefly those tracing their roots of Jharkhand, Bihar, and eastern Uttar Pradesh across the United States on November 14 celebrated Chhath Puja braving sub-zero temperature.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival historically native to the Indian subcontinent, more specifically, the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh as well as the Madhesh region of Nepal. The Chhath Puja is dedicated to the Sun and his sister in order to thank them for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. Chhath does not involve any idol worship. This festival is observed by Nepalese and Indian people, along with their diaspora. The rituals of the festival are rigorous and are observed over a period of four days. They include holy bathing, fasting and abstaining from drinking water (Vratta), standing in water for long periods of time, and offering prasad (prayer offerings) and arghya to the setting and rising sun. The main worshipers, called Parvaitin (from Sanskrit parv, meaning ‘occasion’ or ‘festival’), are usually women. However, a large number of men also observe this festival as Chhath is not a genderspecific festival. Some devotees also perform a prostration march as they head for the river banks. Proenza Schouler
Fashion -2018 It's a mod world, at least at Proenza Schouler, where after a couple of seasons of pretty, feminine looks, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough injected their proceedings with a colorful, sometimes cheeky, dose of sixties pop. Courrèges came instantly to mind when their first model hit the runway in a black-andwhite cashmere minidress, an orblike hat sitting atop her head. Later, the duo channeled Paco Rabanne with a chain mail tank and another made from small black and white discs, which also decorated slender clutches. But this was no retro collection.

Thugs of Hindostan Analysis :
2/5
Thugs of Hindostan is a huge disappointment from the team as the film offers nothing interesting and adventurous.
Story : Thugs of Hindostan is set in the backdrop of 18th century during the British rule in India. They kill the king of Raunakpur and miss king's daughter Safira (Fatima Sana Sheikh). Khudabaksh (Amitabh Bachchan) is the Army Chief who stands against the British. To trap him, Britishers bring a thug named Firangi (Aamir Khan). The rest of Thugs of Hindostan is all about the steps of Firangi and what happens next. Watch Thugs of Hindostan to know about the rest.
Amitabh Bachchan's screen presence has been stunning and he delivered a stupendous performance throughout. Though he has been wasted in the first half, his role has been decent in the second half. Aamir Khan's role will have a limited appeal and will not be liked by everyone. Katrina Kaif is the show stealer and she has been top notch with her dance moves and stunning performance throughout. Fatima Sana Sheikh looks decent and all the other actors delivered their best for Thugs of Hindostan. The story lacks interesting drama and a convincing conflict point. The screenplay and the dialogues are the major disappointments of the film. The production values have been top notch and the editing has been ok. The music and the cinematography work have been decent. Vijay Krishna Acharya's shaddy director makes Thugs of Hindostan one of the biggest debacles in the recent times.
Final Word: Thugs of Hindostan is a huge disappointment from the team as the film offers nothing interesting and adventurous.

2.0 Analysis : 2.0 bets big on VFX work and is a visual wonder. Slow pace and lack of entertainment may leave the audience disappointed, but the grand VFX work make 2.0 live up the expectations. 154
Story : 2.0 is the story of Vaseekaran (Rajinikanth), a scientist who designed Chitti (Robo). He trains robotic students and turns a helping hand for the government when needed. In a shocking move, all the mobile phones start flying and the people will left in panic. Vaseegaran starts a research about the incident and confirms that it is Chitti who can handle the incident. The rest of 2.0 is all about Pakshi Raja (Akshay Kumar) and the real story behind him. Watch 2.0 to know about the complete story.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
2.0 opens with a bang and the first half looks completely convincing and is a treat. Though the film continues on a serious note, the first half has been passable and the audience will wait with interest. The interval episodes have been outstanding and the first half ends up on a happy note. The visual effects have been lavish and Shankar once again elevates the scale of Indian cinema with 2.0. The second half of 2.0 has been slow paced and the flashback episodes look convincing. Akshay Kumar's role and struggle as Pakshi Raja has been extremely emotional. The grand VFX work will be remembered and the climax episodes have been grand enough. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar have been perfect and outstanding in their assignments. The second half of 2.0 has been lavish, grand and is packed with huge dose of VFX effects. The stadium fight will stand out.
Final Word: 2.0 bets big on VFX work and is a visual wonder. Slow pace and lack of entertainment may leave the audience disappointed, but the grand VFX work make 2.0 live up the expectations.

Sarkar
2.5/5
Sarkar is one more disappointment from AR Murugadoss and it no where matches to the previous outings of Vijay and Murugadoss.
Story : Sarkar is the story of a NRI Businessman Sundar Ramaswamy (Vijay) who owns a software firm in USA. He returns back to Chennai to cash his vote after which he realizes that his vote gets misused. Vijay files a petition and the Election Commissions holds the result. After a series of attacks, Sundar decides to make his entry into politics and Sarkar is all about what happens next and how he makes an impact across the political circles of the state. Watch Sarkar to know about the entire story.
Analysis : Sarkar starts off with a bang with a stylish introduction of Vijay. The film holds well during the first half an hour and the narration looks outstanding. However things turn predictable but it is the action episodes and the songs that make the film engaging. The interval episodes have been shot well and Vijay hints of the second half. The first half looks decent on the whole. The audience will be left puzzled throughout the second half because of the poorly written political drama. The film has been so badly presented that it loses pace and dips down. The political drama fails to elevate the film except some interesting dialogues of Vijay. The pre-climax and climax episodes make the film tumble down even more and the second half of Sarkar ends up on a disappointing note.
Final Word: Sarkar is one more disappointment from AR Murugadoss and it no where matches to the previous outings of Vijay and Murugadoss.

The rest of Taxiwaala is all about the real story about the ghost and how the plot unfolds. Watch Taxiwaala to know about the entire story.
WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2018
Analysis : Taxiwaala starts on a fun note and it has enough dose of entertainment. Vijay Devarakonda impresses the audience with his performance and the songs have been shot well. The entire first half happens on a lighter note and it bets big on entertainment. The interval twist leaves the audience thrilled and the first half of Taxiwaala keeps the expectations high on the second half. Vijay Devarakonda carries the entire film on his shoulders. The second half of Taxiwaala fails to live up the expectations as it offers nothing much. The film takes several unusual turns and the major plot has been sidelined. The songs have been decent and the entertainment, funny one-liners bring a fresh breath. The performances and the pre-climax episodes are the major strengths of the second half. On the whole, the second falls short of the expectations.
