We are a family run business, based in North Devon, specialising in the hire of beautiful and extraordinary Nordic Tipis for weddings, parties, festivals and any outdoor event. Our tipis are perfect for people who are looking for a practical and visually stunning alternative to a standard white marquee. Since we started the business in 2007, we have built a reputation as being one of the most professional, reliable and friendly companies in our field. Whilst we hate the words ‘mission statement’ we do have a simple but strong company ethos: to surpass client expectations on every single job and to make the next event even better than the last. Our tents
Whether you are planning a summer wedding or a midwinter party, our giant tipis, known as kåtas, allow your imagination run wild, with a limitless number of creative opportunities to make your event a truly memorable occasion. Traditionally, people wishing to host an outdoor event have had little choice but to choose a conventional marquee. Holding your event in our kåtas presents a practical, visually stunning and competitively priced alternative. From late spring to early autumn, depending on the atmosphere you wish to create, our kåtas offer the versatility to have the sides up or down. This enables you to make the most of a stunning view or a sunny day. In winter, as our tents are inspired by the Sámi people of Lapland, they can endure the worst of British weather. With our Bamse Max open fire (pictured above) inside the tent a truly magical and unique atmosphere can be created, which when combined with our tent heaters results in a super cosy space for your winter event. We can tailor a tent package to meet your exact requirements. 5
The Options GIANT HAT KÅTAS Our Giant Hat Kåtas are truly amazing. Not only beautiful, strong and completely waterproof, they are also extremely versatile. Any number of Giant Hat’s can be joined together to create one single covered space. Each Giant Hat comprises of nine poles to form a nonagon. With its sides down, a single Giant Hat covers 10.3 metres (34’) in diameter, capable of seating 70 guests. However, it can be pitched with some or all of its sides up, increasing the diameter to 13 metres (42’) with seating capacity for up to 120 people. CIRRUS 40™ The Cirrus 40, measuring 8.5 metres (27’) in diameter, is slightly smaller than the Giant Hat, but is made of the same construction, and is capable of seating 40 guests. The front of the Cirrus 40 opens to create a wide entrance, making it an ideal exhibition or trade-stand tent. The back of the tent can also be opened to create a 1.8 metres high x 4 metres wide opening. The Cirrus 40 can also be linked to the Giant Hats. This makes it perfect for a reception and bar area, or (with some low lighting and soft furnishings) an intimate “chill out” space. Because of the tipi shape and a smoke hole at the top, both types of event tipi can accommodate our Bamse open fireplace; perfect for warming mulled wine and toasting marshmallows. ACCOMMODATION KÅTAS Many of our clients find the perfect location for their event, then struggle to source local accommodation and transport for their guests. The solution is our World Inspired Tipi Village. We have a comprehensive range of smaller camping tipis available for hire, comfortably sleeping four guests (or six at a squeeze). Each tipi is supplied with either a ground sheet or inner tent and will be pitched by us, ready for your guests to snuggle in to at the end of the night. THE LITTLE HAT The Little Hat is 5.5 metres in diameter and has no sides, making it the perfect space for a barbeque or hog roast servery.

Tips for the perfect tent event Your date is confirmed and you’ve just booked some rather lovely tipis to host an unforgettable occasion. The planning process can seem a bit daunting from here on in but whether you’re trying to source toilets, need advice on catering tents, or just want a bit of inspiration to add a personal touch to your tipis, please feel free to give me a call to discuss your ideas. WHERE’S EVERYTHING GOING TO GO? You’ve got the tents but where are the tables going to be positioned inside? Are you having a top table? Where will the caterers enter the tipis? These are all questions that need to be answered leading up to an important event. Perhaps you have a detailed plan in your mind of how it’s all going to work or maybe you have no idea where to start. Don’t worry. We can talk through your ideas, I can then put together a bespoke floor plan for you detailing your interior furnishings, their positions and most importantly, how it’s all going to work on the day. By creating this floor plan and discussing in detail your requirements you will have a clear vision of how much space and room there is inside your tipis; this means that on the day all you have to do is enjoy yourself.
I would like to say that World Inspired Tents are an admirable company with whom to do business. They are clearly prepared to put in lots of physical effort to get their tents erected where the client wants them and to ensure that each practical need is met with a refreshing ‘can do’ approach. TOILETS AND GENERATORS Our tipis often find themselves in locations that require facilities to be hired in. We work closely with toilet and generator companies who will provide high quality products and a reliable service for your event. We only work with companies who we trust and with whom we share a similar company ethos. This ensures that you get the best service on the day. We can help you establish your requirements in terms of size and type of toilets and power consumption from the generator. WORLD INSPIRED IDEAS Since 2007, and many hundreds of events to date, we’ve come across a diverse and eclectic range of people doing all sorts of fabulous things inside our tipis. Whether you have a clear vision of how you want your tipis to look on the day or you need a bit of spark to ignite your imagination, we have a whole bank of refreshing ideas that you may find interesting. A simple country wedding, lavish 40th birthday party or relaxed festival themed celebration; whatever your vision we can help you to build it. Perhaps you want some soft lighting in your chill out area or some impact lighting for when your guests arrive, we’ve got it covered. Maybe you want to hang some bunting but you don’t know the best place to fix it, allow me to make suggestions. Do you want to wrap the poles with floral decorations but don’t know the measurements? We can help by providing a 3D diagram for you and your florist. From hanging a mirror ball to putting a photo booth inside or attaching a flagpole to the top of your tipi, if it’s practically possible then we can help to make it happen for you. Please feel free to pass on our details to your caterer, florist, band or anyone else that may need to discuss your requirements. We would be more than happy to offer advice.

We were so pleased we decided to go with World Inspired Tents: the whole process has been a pleasure from start to finish. What was astonishing was the amount of room inside the three tipis once they were up! Our Team We pride ourselves on exceptional service, so it is really important that we have an outstanding team both in the office and on site. From your first contact with our office, to set up and take down of your tents, you will find our team to be super efficient and polite, with a can-do approach. Because we know how important your event is, it is crucial that every detail is covered.
If you choose us
You’ve found the perfect tents but how do you go about booking them for your event? The first thing to do is contact us. Give us a call or send us an email and let us know your thoughts. Also refer to Amy’s Tips for the Perfect Tent Event for some inspiration. (pages 18 & 19) Once we have an idea of what you’re after we can create a detailed, itemised quotation for you, which can be revised as many times as you like until you are absolutely satisfied with what you need. We can always make small adjustments nearer the date of your event. We have considerable experience in providing tents in a variety of venues and maybe at this stage you are confident about the tipis but unsure about the suitability of your site so please invite us along for a site visit. We’re more than happy to do this, free of charge, giving you the chance to meet us and address any queries you may have. If your date is fixed and site secured, you’re happy with our quote and the tipis have ignited your imagination, you’re ready to go ahead and book. We will send you a booking form and deposit invoice for 25% of your booking. Once you have signed and returned your booking form along with your deposit, the tents and date will be secured for you. One month before your event we will contact you to confirm your final requirements and send you a final balance invoice. This will need to be paid no later than 10 days prior to your event.
