The Extended School Year Program at
Providing additional time for students, beyond the school year, to help develop their academic and social skills. Students are exposed to language arts, mathematics, physical education, and social skills groups. Students are encouraged to pick their own topics for language arts projects related to the topics for the year. Topics have included science fiction, Comicon and music. The Summer Enrichment program is academic based without the pressures of academic measurements. It has a fun atmosphere with science experiments, music, art and computers. Students attending Extended School Year Program will enjoy one field trip per week, two academic in nature and two to develop social interactions. The Center School, a private, non-profit, state-accredited facility for bright, learning-disabled students was founded in 1971 by a small group of concerned parents and educators.
