NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The Princeton National Rowing Association announces the 2015 Novice Rowing Camps for athletes from 7th-12th grade. Athletes will learn everything from basics of rowing to how to race in a boat. By the end of the week they will have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of the sport and what it is like to be on a rowing team. Novice Rowing Camps take place at the Caspersen Rowing Center, Mercer Lake, West Windsor, NJ, a U.S. Olympic Training Site.

The one week session includes classes in hip hop which is a popular, high energy and fast paced type of dance. Students will warm-up and then learn isolations, challenging center work, traveling exercises and basic acrobatic moves. Combinations include funky footwork and arm moves that are of the style seen in current music videos, but are age appropriate. Storytime Princess Camp

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet, modern and jazz dance. The steps and terminology that are used in ballet, jazz, and modern classes are all taught during this class. Dancers work to connect their steps together with fluidity and grace. In addition, at this level, dancers focus on increasing their strength and flexibility. Ages: 8 & Up Days: Monday to Friday Time: 12:15pm to 3:00pm Cost: $175 one week, $300 two weeks Location: The Dance Corner Session I: July 6 – July 10 Session II: July 13 – July 17

This camp requires a high level of commitment and dedication from all of its participants. The two one week sessions include classes in advanced ballet technique, pointe, variations, choreography and Pilates. The goal is to nurture, develop and challenge each dancer’s technique. Enrollment is by permission of the directors. Auditions and evaluations are available. The floor work includes complex isolations, turn, jumps, and traveling exercises. The focus is on building strong technique, strength and stamina.
