GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE NOTE
Unless special permission is obtained from the Senate, no person may be registered as a student of Wits University while he/she is registered as a student of another university. The permission of the Senate is also required to register for more than one degree or diploma in the same Faculty in the same academic year. No person may register as a student in more than one Faculty in the same academic year, unless the written authority of the Dean/s is obtained. We make every effort to ensure that the information published here is accurate, but we reserve the right to make changes to:

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements below are only a guideline. Final selection is based on availability of places, academic results and other entry requirements where applicable. Doctorate: The candidate must have a Masters level degree. Senior Doctorate: The candidate is required to apply directly to the relevant Faculty. An ad hoc committee of the Faculty board will ascertain whether a prima facie case exists for admission of the candidate. Masters: The candidate must have an appropriate qualification taken over a minimum of four years of study. Honours: The candidate must be a graduate with an appropriate qualification. Postgraduate diploma or certificate: The candidate must be a graduate with an appropriate qualification.
WITS VACCINATION POLICY
Wits has adopted a Mandatory Vaccination Policy (MVax Policy) which states that all members of the University community will be required to vaccinate against Covid-19 in order to access the University’s premises, aside from those who have been granted Reasonable Accommodation (RA). Members of the Wits community will have until 1 March 2022 to get vaccinated in order to enter all Wits precincts. Wits residence students will be required to be vaccinated before applying for and entering Wits residences.
