The Wiwiurka adventure began in 2010, Ana and Marek, the husband and wife team, and the creative minds and hands behind the company have lots of fun designing and making wooden toys for active and creative play, all the while keeping in the beauty, safety, and functionality of their woodwork.

Designed by the Dr. Emmi Pikler (1902-1984), she studied medicine and pediatrics in Vienna during the 1920. Emmi Pikler was convinced that a child who is allowed to move freely and without restriction is more careful and learns how to fall safely, whereas a child who is overly protected and whose movements are restricted puts him/herself in more danger because he/she has not experimented his/her own capacities and limitations.
