Crossing Borders Changing Lives | take part in community projects abroad Crossing Borders, Changing Lives is part of AIESEC in Malaysia’s campaign to promote our Global Community Development Program (GCDP). GCDP is a core program of AIESEC which enables youths to be involved in creating a positive impact through an international volunteerism experience abroad.

Global Passport Project
“Global passport” project was conceived in November of 2012, as part of AIESEC VIETNAM to help and encourage the students and the youth to improve their English, contribute their development and good preparation in skill for their career path by working directly and provide the youth with good environment of English education programs. YOU can be involved by running educational sessions on English language and communication skills for youths in Vietnam. Interpersonal skills

Develop materials and contents for each course that you will be teaching. Implement and deliver educational sessions to the youths. Support engagement with companies/NGOs which will add value to the project. Promote the awareness on the importance of English language and communication skills to the youth.
Global Passport Project ď ‘
Details: 1. Location: Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi Project in Ho Chi Minh focuses on teaching English for business communication purposes. Project in Hanoi focuses on teaching English by introducing the different cultures of the world. 2. Duration: 6-8 weeks 3. Requirements: Excellent English Skills, enthusiastic about teaching and new cultures, good facilitation and presentation skills 4. Starting date: Both beginning and end of July 5. Number of people in class: 10-20 people 6. Frequency: At least 6 hours of teaching per week.

Hope for Children Project
Established in November year 2010, Hope for Children project is meant to provide underprivileged children in Vietnam with love and care to inspire their faith for a brighter tomorrow. Mission • Provide education for underprivileged children, aged 8-15 (English, soft skill) • Act as a bridge to connect underprivileged children to community and the world • Orientate and inspire the children for a better future

Develop project content
• build suitable programs for the children. Plus prepare materials, lessons for each workshop, class, activity…
Run the project
• Conduct/facilitate educational sessions, outdoor activities for children. You will teach English, talk, play with children to understand them.
Organize special events
• Fundraise, plan, facilitate and organize events: International Children Day, Midautumn festival, Christmas day, interactive trip

• Here you will work for NGO at the offices or teach English at development centers; help them to organize and participate in their events

„ Requirements - Excellent command of English and presentation skill - Independent, creative, playful, young in mentality, patient and love to work with children. - Have some specific skills which can arouse interest in children (playing guitar, singing, painting, dancing, making origami..etc..)
„ Details 1. Starting Date: beginning of July 2. Duration: 6-8 weeks 3. Conduct Education to the children in shelter houses 3-4 times per week. 4. Children mainly are from Elementary and Secondary School 5. There will be a trip to the SOS Village in Vietnam on the mid of July. 6. Location: Ho Chi Minh

Living ď ‘ Conditions
-Staying in hostel. Monthly rent for hostel is around 150-250 USD. Food to be covered by you. -Staying with host families or students in Vietnam (depends on availability). The cost will be 35 USD (Ho Chi Minh and Free (Hanoi) for entire 6 weeks. Food expenditure is more flexible, if students/family wishes to cook, you can share the cost with them which will be cheaper than eating out. (Accommodation possibilities will be notified during the interview) For transportation, the cheapest option is to buy a monthly pass to travel by bus. You have the option to rent a motorcycle for travelling as well. In Hanoi, AIESEC members will organize an amazing race like challenge every week to help you get to know about the city!

Children ď ‘ Education | Your involvement
Focused on small private schools and orphanages, the children education projects in Cambodia aims to develop the different soft skills of the children. You will need to deliver trainings and classes for the kids to broaden their knowledge and mindset. The topic of lessons mainly focuses on communication, creative arts and general knowledge.
Through creative utilization of resources, you are supposed to deliver engaging sessions for the kids. During off class hours, you will be the role model and coach for the kids to inspire them for future success in life.

Education of English language in NGO for underprivileged kids. Lessons are scheduled to be 3 hours per day and 5 days per week.
KFKO KFKO – “Khmer for Khmer Organization” is a NGO in Siem Reap which provides children of low socioeconomic background education and vocational training. Over the past few years, this organization has been providing English language and IT skills training for the children. As a volunteer, you will be working with the kids 3 hours per day and 5 days per week.
Children ď ‘ Education | Your involvement | More details You will be working in an NGO called S.C.A.O. S.C.A.O provides home-care, nutritious meals, health-care, education and clothing to orphans and children living in conditions of poverty and social isolation. The Centre provides four free daily English classes Monday through Friday to the children in the Boeng Chhouk village (15 min. north of Phnom Penh). S.C.A.O believes that educating and empowering more children in Cambodia will break the cycle of poverty that has hindered the opportunity for children a better life and a productive future.
Save Poor Children in Asia You will be providing a wider range of education in this project. This includes education of English, health, sanitation issues, computer, maths and etc to Children. You will also educate the children about your culture and the differences between cultures. You will need to design and prepare your own educational materials. Sometimes you will need to be involved with NGO fund raising and other activities. Teaching will be done 5 days per week and 3 hours per day.

Environment ď ‘ Education Green Education
Due to corruption and low quality law enforcement, Cambodia’s forest has been declining dramatically. Cambodia is suffering more effects of climate change such as increase in temperature, irregular rain, floods and other natural disasters. This project is aimed to help Cambodian people particularly youth to understand the importance of forestry existence and environmental protection. We want to have a GREEN future.

1. Organize and facilitate Workshops about environmental sustainability 2. Organize Plant More Trees Campaign 3. Research about environmental topics in Cambodia and do write ups on them. 4.
