Ik This project has been held on 2009, during my 3rd year of study in RMIT Industrial Design. The aim of this project is to design a Melbourne Bike Sharing system concept in the future. The suggested concept is called “Commonbike 24/7 Tech, a part of Melbourne transport system which based on community sharing to develop a sustainable Melbourne and integrated with the advantages of innovative technology access. The technology integrated for the concept is to have a built in GPS system in each of the bike which elaborated with the smart key system. The system benefits the maintenance of the operating system, providing direction and convenience to the users, as well as reducing the vandalism problem. Commonbike support a positive value of building a strong connected community with the culture of sharing. Moreover, the concept is the solution for an ECO city with zero emission and maximizes the use of solar power.
Ik 2 major factors which were learnt from this project are the user experience design and the interactive system design which included product and interface design. During the project, students are also expected to run a bike sharing pilot (CommonBike) in Melbourne for 3 weeks (5-26 May 2009). Active participation in managing the pilot and supervision as the research coordinator were the biggest contributions for the team of the project. At the end of semester, the class hosted the Melbourne Share Bike forum to discuss the outcomes of Common Bike pilot; debate Melbourne’s Bike Sharing needs; and talk about an ideal future system. This design concept has been honourly selected to be presented in this Bike Sharing Forum in 15 June 2009.

Ik Robbo-S is a sound detecting robot toy which runs out of solar power. Robbo-S is a solar panel robotic toy which educates kids to be more active and always thinking forward. Robbo-S can be transformed into different formations and it can also be worn as a bracelet for the kids to bring along and yet automatically recharging it. Robbo-S has been developed to react to auditory sound. Therefore, simply clap your hand and Robbo-S will respond and move to the direction of the sound.

Ik Kn_EAT_iT is a modern contemporary set of glassware for eating (cup, bowl, plate, wine glass and more) with a special inspiring knitted surface. The idea behind is inspired by how the art of craft should be appreciated more, and craft is more than what people usually think about. Even cooking can be counted as the art of craftsmanship. For that reason, Kn_EAT_iT is produced as the appreciation of experiencing the art creation (both craftsmanship of the food and its knitted surface). With its textured surface, Kn_EAT_iT enhances the sensual pleasure of experiencing your eating time. The pattern of this glassware creates an extraordinary grip as well as an exquisite aesthetic with the reflection of the glass effect. Kn_EAT_iT has been prototyped by using a silicon mould for a transparent resin. However, the concept is promising to be developed in further material exploration (such as glass or plastic or even silicon base) and other technique (crochet, macramĂŠ, ect).
