The WKA Mazda / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Series closed its 2013 season September 27-29 at the beautiful GoPro Motorplex, where 17 racers drove to national 2-cycle sprint wins at the new Mooresville, N.C., venue, which is nearing the end of its inaugural season.
weekend and put the finishing touches on one of the best Manufacturers Cup seasons in recent memory.
Heading into the weekend a number of big stories outlined the RACERSITES Nationals. Bridgestone and its distributors posted a myriad of prizes and incentives for every class, including free YLB tires to every TaG entrants, eight sets of Bridgestones for this December’s Daytona Sprint Championships and seven $50 credit certificates toward Daytona entry fees that will be awarded to the best overall finisher in seven divisions.
Three top Sportsman racers from the 2012 and 2013 seasons advanced to the Junior ranks for the first time in WKA national competition. Zach Holden, David Malukas and Neil Verhagen all bypassed a final opportunity to race Sportsman to move up to the fullsize chassis and the Junior ranks.
Brandon Lemke simply needed to start the weekend’s Junior Sportsman races to earn a coveted Triple Crown championship, WKA’s most prestigious driver award since 1996. Lemke earned one race win in Cadet Sportsman 2 on the

Lemke will become the first Man Cup racer to win a Triple Crown since Joel Jens, Grant Quinlan and Sam Beasley did it in 2011.
All three racers found success. Malukas won Saturday’s Komet Junior 1 main event by a big 3.5-second margin and Verhagen made an exciting last-turn pass on Malukas to win Sunday’s Orlando Kart Center Komet Junior weekend capper. Holden was consistent all weekend, recording finishes of second (twice) and third. w o r l d ka rt i n g . c o m
Komet Junior 1 saw Malukas triumph over class point champion Austin McCusker. Holden was third, Verhagen fourth and Matt Solarczyk fifth. “It was a big win,” David said after the victory. “It’s always great to win, but to win by a big margin makes it even sweeter. I’m really happy we could pull this off for everyone at Top Kart USA, my dad, HMD Trucking and our tuner Wes Phillips. We’ve been good on the Top Kart since we started racing it and I’m getting more comfortable every race. I think we’re going to have a lot of success in the future.” Verhagen and Malukas were the class of Sunday’s Komet Junior 2 main event. The pair finished one, two ahead of McCusker, Gresham Wagner and Alexander Kardashian. “I had a lot of fun racing against David out there,” Verhagen commented after his win. “To win at our home track is as much as we could have asked for. had our ups and downs this weekend, but we ended on a very high note. Thanks to everyone who helped, especially my parents, my brother Alex, and KartSport North America.” Maks Kowalski, John Paul Southern Jr. and Giovanni Bromante all scored double wins in the Sportsman ranks. Kowalski won two sets of Bridgestones for the Daytona Sprint Championships in the Yamaha Rookie division. The Birel racer won Saturday’s New Jersey Sprint Series Yamaha Rookie Sportsman 1 over Mark J. Fineis with Tyler Ferris third, Griffin Kunz fourth and Robert Noaker III fifth.. The win awarded Kowalski with one set of Bridgestones. Maks drew the No. 1 out of a hat Sunday morning, meaning the winner of Sunday’s Mike Doty Racing Rookie final would win the second set of tires Grand Products had posted for

the Rookie category. Kowalski proceeded to back up Saturday’s win with another big triumph over Tyler Ferris and Kunz. Finies was fourth and the finish was good enough to net him the 2013 Yamaha Rookie national championship. Florida’s Jeremy Fairbairn rounded out the top five. “It was the best race weekend I had all year,” the 10-year-old Kowalski said after his big weekend in North Carolina. This was my first Man Cup season and I already won three races in my class, including the two wins this weekend. I tried to lead from the start and the strategy worked great for me. It was not easy as the competition was fierce here, but I was just a little better this weekend.
Southern rode his Checkered Motorsports PCR to a sweep of Yamaha Sportsman with wins in MRP / Birel Yamaha Sportsman 1 and Comet Kart Sales Yamaha Sportsman 2. Southern bested Lemke in Saturday’s main. Sam Mayer was third, Bromante fourth and Devin Boutot fifth. Southern returned Sunday to claim the Yamaha
“I had good speed all weekend thanks to the right kart setup by my dad and also thanks to a great motor from Woltjer Racing Engines and help from the MRP team. My RK chassis by Birel worked great this weekend. I am happy with the result as it was my final race weekend in the Rookie class and it is great to finish the season on the high note.”

won in Yamaha Junior, which were the largest classes of the weekend at over 20 entrants.
Bromante raced his Top Kart to a sweep of GT7 Motorsports Komet Sportsman. The finishing order was identical each day with the New Yorker triumphing over Lemke, Southern and Mayer. Lemke scored the Streeter Super Stands Pole Award in both classes.
Virginia’s Gresham Wagner raced his Arrow to his first Man Cup win of the season in Saturday’s Woltjer Racing Engines Yamaha Junior 1. Wagner won by a tight 0.170-second margin over Holden and PCR racer Braden Eves. Matt Solarczyk and Brandon Jarsocrak finished fourth and fifth.
Lemke and New Hampshire’s Lance Fenderson split the Cadet finals. Fenderson raced his Top Kart to his first ever Manufacturers Cup triumph in Saturday’s KoeneUSA.com Cadet Sportsman 1 final. Bromante and Lemke finished second and third.
Sunday’s best race of the day belonged to Verde Speed Resources Yamaha Junior 2. Malukas and point leader Brandon Jarsocrak battled for the win on the last lap until the two made contact in turn 11 coming to the checkered. The contact allowed Birel pilot Matt Solarczyk to sneak past both racers and drag race Holden, Malukas and others down the front stretch to a big win. Holden took second and Malukas settled for third. Verhagen and Austin McCusker completed the top five.
Lemke finally broke through with a RACERSITES Nationals win in Sunday’s Grand Products / Top Kart USA Cadet contest. In a terrific race, Lemke wheeled his Merlin to the victory over Bromante and Fenderson. While new Junior racers Malukas and Verhagen split the Komet Junior mains, a couple of Junior veterans o c to b e r 2 0 1 3 - ka rt i n g s c e n e

Wisconsin’s Patrick Olsen swept HYTORC Komet Pro to take the $300 prize. Olsen won Saturday over Kody Evans while Darren Brubaker finished second to Olsen in Sunday’s contest. Derek Hughes drove his plain black Arrow to a bit of a surprise victory in Saturday’s Yamaha Senior main. Hughes bested Olsen and Evans for his first Man Cup victory of the season. Sunday’s Zero Error Racing Yamaha Senior main saw a Top Kart breakaway with Dakota Pesek, Chase Jones and Olsen outrunning Evans and Hughes to the top-three positions. Pesek’s win marked an appropriate close to another Yamaha Senior national championship season for the Ohio

driver. TaG racing saw the Rotax engine dominate in Saturday’s events. Florida FA Kart racer Roger Ralston Jr. scored Saturday’s TSRacing.com TaG Senior main event win over Tony Kart pilot Dustin Stross and local runner Dusty Davis. Garrett Johnston was the first non-Rotax across the stripe for fourth and his twin brother Jake Johnston in fifth. Scott Roberts wheeled his Rotax-powered Tony Kart to the win in Saturday’s DRT Racing TaG Masters. Roberts won over Scott Ferris and Chuck Tate. Ten pounds was added to the Rotax for Sunday’s racing while five pounds was reduced from the Parilla w o r l d ka rt i n g . c o m
X30. With the weight change the engines were very close in Sunday’s OTK Kart USA TaG Senior 2 main. Derek Dignan switched from his Rotax to an X30 and scored the win over Jake Johnston, another X30 racer. But the fastest kart on the track was Ralston on his Rotax. The Florida racer nearly had Johnston passed on a couple of occasions but lost momentum when not being able to complete the pass in the turn 8 hairpin. Ralston went on to settle for third. RACERSITES owner Chuck Tate scored a big victory in the event his company sponsored with a dominating performance in Sunday’s Margay Racing Products TaG Masters program. Tate raced his Tony Kart to a big win over Scott Roberts, who challenged the North Carolina driver for a time before experiencing problems on his Tony Kart that allowed Tate to drive away. Steve Schiewer finished third. Tate and Roberts were both racing Rotax engines. Dignan and Jake Johnston split the Parilla Senior main events. Dignan won over Garrett Johnston and Mark Boos in Saturday’s Grand Products / Top Kart Parilla Senior 1. Sunday’s Franklinkart.com Parilla Senior 2 feature saw twin brothers Jake and Garrett Johnston dominate the show. Jake held on for a big victory over his brother with Dignan crossing the stripe in third. o c to b e r 2 0 1 3 - ka rt i n g s c e n e

SUMMIT NATIONALS REPORT: H summitPOINT point nationals BUFFO WINS THREE TAG RACES; STAR summit point motorsports park summit point, West virginia
The Summit Point Nationals took place September 7-9 at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, W.Va., where the seventh and final round of the 2013 WKA VEGA / TS Racing Road Racing Series driven by Mazda attracted over just shy of 300 entrants to the popular road racing facility. After over four decades of hosting Woodbridge Kart Club and WKA enduro kart racing, Summit Point continues to provide road race karters with a convenient location in the Mid-Atlantic region in the panhandle of West Virginia. A number of New England and southeastern-based teams made the trip to Summit again this year. Of course, a large contingent of teams from the Mid-Atlantic region and Midwest filled the pit area in the final national road race until Daytona KartWeek this December. The improvements to the Summit Point Motorsports Park facility are also worth mentioning. Track officials have made a number of upgrades in recent years, and if you haven’t attending an event at

Sportsman Heavy triumphs. For Holder the wins marked his second and third national feature wins in nearly two decades of racing.
Plans to add on to the Jefferson Circuit are said to be underway, and the Shenandoah Circuit continues to offer a tight, technical road course for karts, motorcycles and more. OG Racing continues to operate their parts store in the Summit Point Circuit paddock, and a fairly new sprint karting track also hosts concession and rental karts on a regular basis.
Holder led most of the way and bested Zack Clark to win Saturday’s Sportsman Heavy contest. On Sunday, Holder raced hard with Clark, Jermie Bolt and David Goodwin for the win in Sportsman Medium. Wild Bill passed Clark and Bolt late in the race and held on for his second win of the weekend by a 0.216-second margin over Clark. Bolt was a half-second back in third. Evan Bolt and Goodwin finished fourth and fifth.
On the track this past weekend, a number of Woodbridge Kart Club and WKA veterans raced to a great deal of success.
Jermie Bolt drove Holder’s kart in Yamaha Sporstman Lite late Saturday afternoon. Bolt crossed the stripe first by over eight

seconds over Clark, but Bolt was disqualified for weighing in light. Bolt’s DQ handed the win to Clark. Brent Goodwin was second, Robert Cacoilo third and Fran Mazzucotelli fourth. A strong showing of Briggs Animals once again hit the track at Summit. Saturday’s first race saw Georgia’s Ben Thomason and Maryland’s Jonathan Tedder score wins. Thomason orchestrated a rare defeat of Zach Linsell in Animal Sprint 335, sponsored by Hoosier Racing Tire. Thomason crossed the stripe just 0.132 seconds in front of Linsell for the win. Austyn Flurer was eight seconds back in third, just ahead of Sam Sheckells. Blake Beattie rounded out the top five. In 385, Tedder won a close race over Scott Evans. However, Evans was disqualified in post-race tech. WKA Gold Cup regular Tony Wimmer took second with the Evans’ DQ. Rob Garland II was third, Bill Lewis fourth and Bernie Lafrance fifth.
18
Sunday’s Animal Sprint 360 race was one of the most competitive of the weekend… for second place. A great field of 16 karts took the green, and Linsell smoked the field. The multi-time national champion, who has run and won races in Gold Cup for years, pulled out to a big lead early in the race and won by a 10.6-second margin over Georgia’s Beattie. Flurer was third, Thomason fourth and Tedder fifth. A group of about 10 karts battled it out all race for second place on back. While 16 karts started Animal 360, another seven battled it out in Animal Sprint 410. Darlington, South Carolina father and son Rob Garland II and Robert Garland dominated the race. Garland II scored the win by a 1.3-second gap over Robert. Georgia’s Steve Jeffers finished third, North Carolina’s Joe Kuley fourth and Maryland’s Bernie Lafrance fifth. The Stock Honda divisions always provide some of the best, most impressive fields at WKC events. The Summit Point Nationals was no exception with 15 karts taking the green in Saturday’s Stock Honda 1. w o r l d ka rt i n g . c o m
Noah Stark, Byron “Bear” Rothenhoefer and Mark Nagy finished one, two, three in the races. The trio pulled away from the rest of the field and swapped the lead throughout the race. Rothenhoefer led much of the 30 minutes before Stark passed him on the final lap to score the win. David Harding and Bill Pyles were fourth and fifth, about 36 second back of the lead group.
Buffo dominated TaG Heavy Final 1 with a 41-second triumph over Michael Hines. Steve Stewart was third, Donald Nelson fourth and Chris Hines retired early, credited with fifth.
Seventeen karts started Stock Honda’s weekend capper on Sunday. Texas’ Carson Miller, who did not complete a lap in Saturday’s race, battled hard with Rothenhoefer and Stark early in the race. A lap kart forced Stark off the track around the 10-minute mark, costing Stark valuable time and a shot at the win.
Buffo added his third win in the TaG Heavy weekend capper Sunday afternoon. Buffo raced to a 9.6-second win over Michael Hines. Chris Hines was third.
Miller and Rothenhoefer swapped the lead several times with Miller holding on for the win. Stark ended up seven seconds back of the lead duo in third, Harding was fourth and Pascual Torres fifth.
Chris Hines finally broke the Buffo win streak in Sunday’s TaG Final 2. Hines edged Buffo by a close 0.136-second margin. Hawvermale was third.
Buffo, who travels to the races with the Hines father, son team, clinched his first national championships with the wins. Buffo swept the TaG and TaG Heavy divisions in the 2013 national point standings.
While unofficial, it looks like Carson Miller has won both Stock Honda national championships aboard his DR Kart chassis.
Greg Heberle won Saturday’s Streeter Super Stands Stock Leopard Sprint Final 1 race. Heberle, a longtime WKC regular, won by a tight 0.043-second gap over Clark Gaynor. Don Nelson, who traveled to Summit Point from Minnesota, was third, Pirooz Javan fourth and Don Guilbeault fifth.
Keith Buffo went three for four in the TaG divisions. The Massachusetts racer kicked off the weekend by winning TaG Final 1 by a 1.1-second gap over Chris Hines. Michael Hines was third, Don Hawvermale Jr. fourth and Colton Aikens fifth.
On Sunday Gaynor, Robert Wimmer and Heberle pulled away from the rest of the field and battled it out for the Stock Leopard victory. Gaynor earned the win by only 0.131 seconds over Wimmer. Heberle was just 0.318 back of the winner,

Ageless Rhode Island veteran Louis Magiera swept the Heiser Trailer Leasing Yamaha Sportsman Sprint main events. Magiera won Saturday’s race by over 37 seconds over Andy Leighninger. Jeff Leighninger was third. On Sunday, Magiera scored the win by a wide margin over Jeff Leighninger.
New York’s JT Coupal scored wins in Jr Sprint Lite and Team Finork Racing Jr Sprint Heavy. Coupal won over Alex Frazer both days. Seth Williams was third.
New York’s Adam Myers won Saturday’s WKA Sprint race by a 13-second gap over early leader Jim Sorrentino. West Virginia’s Derek Somers was third, Adam Trumbley fourth and James Leins fifth.
Mallory Davis swept the 100cc Pipe races. David won by 51 seconds over Steve Gore and Bill Trumbley in Pipe Heavy. On Sunday, Davis bested Fran Mazzucotelli to win Pipe Medium. Michigan’s Jim Farr Jr. earned the B Stock victory
Myers crossed the stripe first in Sunday’s WKA Sprint 2 but was DQ’ed in post-race tech. The Myers DQ gave the win to Somers, who edged out Sorrentino. Ted Carbonaro took third, Trumbley fourth and Leins fifth. Myers also won Sleeper Racing Team 100cc Controlled Spec 1 by a big 52-second margin over Scott Stauffer. Sean O’Shea was third. by a 1.5-second margin over Duane Eberhart. Ben Eberhart, who set the race’s fast lap at a 1:20.711 but dropped out after 14 minutes. Adam Trumbley won over JC Sanders in Dart Kart Club 100cc Yamaha Medium. Dan Stowell was third. William Anderson won over Steve Gore in 100cc Yamaha Heavy Sunday afternoon. Kelly Lawrence had his Formula 125 enduro really working. Lawrence dominated Formula 125, winning by two laps over Fran Mazzucotelli. While Lawrence was the fastest 125cc laydown in attendance, the fastest kart in attendance was the fastest kart to ever go around the Summit Point Main Circuit. Andy Kiker, who has raced at Summit and other road race tracks for decades, drove his 250cc-powered super kart to a quick lap of 1:12.261 in Saturday’s Unlimited go. The lap is believed to be a new track record for a go-kart at the 2.0 course. Kiker won the Unlimited race by two laps over Lawrence. Jim Brannon won over Chris Reinhardt in the ESK ICE 1 feature. o c to b e r 2 0 1 3 - ka rt i n g s c e n e
Don Santini bested Steven Rougeou for the win in CIK 125 Shifter Final 1. Don Guilbeault used the WKA 125 Shifter race on Saturday to gain experience for Sunday’s Stock Honda race. He was the only entrant in WKA 125 Shifter 1. On Sunday, Noah Stark bested Mark Nagy and Steven Rougeou in a terrific CIK Shifter race. The margin between first and third was a mere 0.168 seconds. North Carolina’s Chris Kuley won both Animal Junior Sprint races. Michael Tracy scored wins in The Agile Group, Inc. 100cc Controlled Final 1 and 2 and Formula 100. Charles Wilbur won the Animal Limited Modified 385 contest over Ben Morris. Wisconsin’s Dennis Smith bested Wilbur to win Sunday’s Animal Limited Mod 360. Joe Cuslidge was the winner of Clone 385, while James Vandermuelen won Yamaha Sprint Lite. Will Gahrnann won Clone 360. Local option winners were Arthur McKenny in Vintage USA 1, Ian Bushey over Logan Aikens in Jr TaG 1, Ed O’Shea in Classic Controlled and Robert Anderson over Bruce Dabney in Vintage Euro.

LAWSON SWEEPS SENIOR PRO GAS; MURRY, LEE & ZOBKIW CLAIM CHAMPIONSHIPS, NEW GO-KARTS
Nearly 200 entries met at Kershaw, South Carolina the first weekend of October for the Carolina Clash presented by Jammer Clutches & Performance North at the Carolina Motorsports Park 0.7-mile kart track. The event closed the five-race WKA RLV Tuned Exhaust Products Gold Cup Series. The event marked only the second time the RLV Gold Cup Series had visited Kershaw. WKA Manufacturers Cup nationals have been held in the spring each of the last three years, while the Gold Cup’s only visit to CMP was spring of 2010. Weather couldn’t have been better. If the calendar didn’t say October, attendees would have thought the event was being held in the dead of summer. Temperatures surpassing 80 and 90 degrees with clear, sunny skies welcomed racers throughout the weekend as Gold Cup teams competed with some of the best weather conditions of the year. Here’s a rundown of all the Gold Cup action this past October at Kershaw, South Carolina! Mentor, Ohio’s Gary Lawson once again made

it look easy with big money on the line in the RLV Gold Cup Series season closer October 4-6 at Carolina Motorsports Park, while Georgia’s Dylan Murry and Tanner Lee and New York’s Dylan Zobkiw unofficially claimed Pro Gas Animal national championships and the brand-new, race-ready go-kart prizes that were included in the year-end awards package. While Lawson and 17 other drivers raced to Carolina Clash presented by Jammer Clutches & Performance North national wins, a main focus for many was the national championship races in the Sportsman and Senior Pro Gas Animal classes. Entering the series’ final round no fewer than five drivers had mathematical shots at each class championship. Lee had Junior Pro Gas Animal locked up heading into the weekend; he took home the brand-new Razor Chassis for his efforts. Murry scored the win in Saturday’s Baker Racing Engines Sportsman Pro Gas Animal main event, finishing just ahead of Ohio’s David Kalb Jr. and Maryland’s Zach Wells. One

of Murry’s closest competitors in the points, Matthew Miller, finished 10th, costing him dearly in the championship race.
Coyote XP chassis on the line, both racers were well aware of the high stakes, and both stepped up their games.
But Miller bounced back Sunday to score an impressive victory over Wells and Nick Fauci in Baker Racing Engines Sportsman Pro Gas Animal 2. Murry, who suffered an engine problem on the last lap of the pre-final, started toward the rear of the 14-kart field and finished fifth in the main. Murry’s fifth-place finish was enough to unofficially win the class championship and new Margay Racing Products chassis by about a 30-point margin over Miller.
Both Beatty and Zobkiw ran strong finished second and third in Saturday’s Gas Animal main to Lawson. The race became very interesting in Sunday’s pre-final when Zobkiw made a pass on Jacob Heavlow for a top-five position. Zobkiw and Heavlow made contact and Heavlow shot back onto the track and a hard wreck ensued, which involved Beatty.
Kalb also entered Sunday’s race with a shot at the championship, but he finished seventh in the main and would unofficially settle for third in the final standings. Murry’s win on Saturday earned him one free class entry to each of the four 2014 WKA Gold Cup nationals, while Miller’s Sunday win gave him a free set of Bridgestones to each of next year’s nationals. Wells’ second-place effort Sunday earned him a set of Bridgestones posted by distributor Grand Products.
The Michigan Kart Supply racer was able to continue, but nursed his Coyote home to a 10thplace finish, while Zobkiw finished third. With Zobkiw starting seven positions better than Beatty in the main, Beatty needed to advance positions as quick as possible. Zobkiw had a bad started and quickly dropped to fifth, but Beatty couldn’t capitalize as he was stuck in traffic around the 10th position. Zobkiw made his way back to fourth and eventually
The Senior Pro Gas Animal points race couldn’t have been much closer. While several drivers had a shot at the title entering the Carolina Clash, Michigan’s Jeff Beatty and Zobkiw were on the inside of the points battle with Beatty entering the event with a slim lead over Zobkiw. With a new

third, meaning Beatty would have to get to the fifth position in order to win the championship. While Zobkiw ran unchallenged in third, Beatty ran deeper in the field fighting for every position he could gain. He passed top drivers like Tyler Sandmeyer and Sean Meier late in the race, and a last-lap incident between Michael Fauci and Jason Zobkiw while battling for fifth advanced Beatty another two spots. But the Michigan racer would fall one spot shy of a national championship in his rookie Gold Cup season. Beatty placed sixth, about four seconds back of fifth-place finisher Corey Towles. Beatty’s sixth-place run would give Zobkiw the title by a mere three-point margin. If Beatty could have made it to fifth, he would have won the title by seven markers over Zobkiw. Zobkiw earned the brand-new Coyote XP complete with a Baker-powered Pro Gas Animal engine for his efforts. Chris Wells made his first Gold Cup appearance

of the 2013 season and finished a strong second to Lawson in the 12-lap main event. Zobkiw was third, Dakota Bell fourth on the MGM house kart and Corey Towles fifth on his Coyote. Sandmeyer won the $250 Hard Charger Award for advancing the most positions (25th to fifth) in Saturday’s Pro Gas Animal main. Towles won the Hard Charger and $250 for starting 19th and finishing fifth in Sunday’s main. Lawson also won Friday’s Senior Animal Money Race, meaning the Ohio Arrow pilot pocketed approximately $1,800 for his three wins. In all, Lawson, Dylan Zobkiw, Beatty, Wells, Sandmeyer, Towles and Jim Lipari all took home payouts from the weekend’s Senior Pro Gas Animal races. Travis Manning wheeled his MGM to three big Carolina Clash wins. The biggest came Sunday with Manning’s GT Machine / MGM Chassis Animal Medium triumph, which paid a cool $500. Tyler Sandmeyer earned $200 for his second-place run to Manning. Josh Steifel was third.

Fauci won Sportsman 1 Lite over Jason Alder while Matthew Miller was second to the New York racer in the final Sportsman 1 Heavy standings.
Manning also triumphed in Coyote Motorsports Animal Lite and Margay Racing Products Animal Amateur Medium. Michael Osborn finished second to Manning in Lite while Josh Stiefel and Paul Headley were second and third in Amateur. Manning also won a new set of Bridgestones for his win in Amateur, sponsored by Grand Products. David Kalb Jr. swept the Van-K Wheels Sportsman 2 classes. Kalb wheeled his Margay to the win both days over Zach Wells and Adam Cornell. Kalb captured the Sportsman 2 Heavy national championship while Cornell was able to hold on to claim the Sportsman 2 Lite title. Jason Alder and Miller split the Sportsman 1 divisions. Alder triumphed over Nick Fauci and Miller in Saturday’s Performance North Sportsman 1 Lite. On Sunday, Miller scored his first of two wins on the day in Sportsman 1 Heavy. Alder was second and Trevor Vargo third.
Sarah Luoma, Tanner Lee, Tyler Stiefel and Haley Kummer all scored Junior wins at Kershaw. Luoma won Junior Lite over Tyler Stiefel. Lee picked up wins in Junior Heavy, Junior Clone 2 and both Junior Pro Gas mains. Kummer won over David Lawrence and Lee in Junior Clone 1 while Stiefel scored the win in Restricted Junior. Cody Hall and Zach Wells split the Sportsman 2 Clone features. Hall won over Wells in Sportsman 2 Clone 1 while Wells came back Sunday to pick up the win over Hall and Cade Frazier in Sportsman 2 Clone 2. “The entire race was a heated battle with Zach and I swapping the lead multiple times each lap,” Cody Hall said after his Saturday
