With hands-on training and expert faculty, the College of Health and Human Services at WKU will prepare you for life after graduation. Majors in CHHS grew by 130% between Fall 2003 to Fall 2013, from 2,264 to 5,237 students. The reason for the growth in CHHS is the engagement of the exceptional faculty and staff who address the changing shifts in higher education. Students in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders start providing speech therapy as undergraduates through the WKU Clinical Education Complex, a Head Start center located on campus, and the Buddy House which serves adults with Down Syndrome. Nearly 100% of WKU nursing students pass national board exams on the first attempt. 100% of our nursing students were hired shortly after graduation.

TOUR GUIDE Bowling Green, KY
ERICA Biology
“ I came to WKU because it was so close to home. The size is perfect (not too big and not too small). WKU also has a great biology program. I love hanging out with my friends downtown, but I also love kayaking with my family. There is so much to do in BG! I’ve met so many new people while still staying in touch with people from my high school. I love all of my teachers and being a tour guide is fun.”
