“A Lady Knight softball player is part of a family that has a commitment to support each other and who shares the goals of excellence in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. We are UKNIGHTED!” Tom Jakubowski softball head coach sixth season

“Being a Lady Knight is having an extended family while in college. You and your teammates work together to develop your talents while improving, supporting, and encouraging each other with the ultimate goal of winning. You develop a bond that supersedes the softball field and gives you a sense of pride in each other’s accomplishments. “By learning to be more focused and patient, my love of the game has been elevated. It has given me the understanding that everyone on the team plays a role in each other’s successes or failures. We all desire to be champions. with God’s given talent and out-working the competition, we will become champions on and off the field.” Jess Rectenwald junior - pittsburgh, pa.

“Gannon student-athletes truly reflect the model of an NCAA Division II student-athlete. They are committed to excelling in academics, service, sportsmanship and leadership. All this happens while also competing athletically at the highest level in their sport. This reflects what it means to be a Gannon Lady Knight.” Mark Richard director of athletics
