SERVICES Wolfe Scott offers a variety of renovation, restoration and new construction services to the Mid Atlantic Region of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. These include: - General Construction with the ability to self-perform carpentry related work when necessary - Construction Management when the design and owner teams seek collaboration to strike the appropriate balance among program/quality/cost schedule - Design-Build when the integration of design and construction activities is warranted Project Formation & Design During the project formation and design phase Wolfe Scott assists the design team to strike the appropriate balance among program, quality, cost and schedule. Alternatives are offered and analyzed relative to maximizing value in order to help clients make informed decisions. Every building system and component is thoroughly planned for and well coordinated in advance in order to provide for a seamless transition to the field. HubBub Truck, launched in 2009 near Penn, was the first coffee truck in Philadelphia serving a full range of specialty drinks. In 2014, HubBub expanded into Radnor in its 1,800 SF shop.

JAKE’S SANDIWICH BOARD | Restaurant

When Jake’s Sandwich Board remodeled their original location, they also undertook an expansion into University City. The new shop, located at 40th and Sansom streets, caters to the college crowd.

TALULA’S DAILY | Restaurant

Talula’s Daily is an extension of the Talula’s Garden dining experience, with an emphasis on a café menu and seating, along with prepared food and meals for take-out. The “country-chic” and vibrant interior design and materials inclusive of warm woods, handsome marble, hand painted tiles and wall covering embody a farm to table café reminiscent of Provence. A timber trellis breaks down the scale of the tall coffee bar area and adds rustic charm. Many materials are re-purposed including the mahogany wood and marble used for the curved coffee bar. A complete commercial kitchen with open food preparation offers diners the experience of feeling a part of the food’s care and preparation.

FRETZ CORPORATION | Corporate Headquarters and Showroom

Fretz’s brand new, state-of-the-art Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom is now open at The Philadelphia Navy Yard. Designed to present Sub-Zero and Wolf brands in the environments in which they are meant to be experienced, this space showcases over 150 Sub-Zero and Wolf products in beautiful kitchen settings. A valuable resource to both industry professionals and end-users alike, the showroom features an open kitchen studio, live bar, training room, and conference area.

KORMAN PROPERTIES | a. Kitchen

a. Kitchen is a casually sophisticated restaurant. The construction of this restaurant/cafe features a lively open kitchen with wood banquettes that front a marble chef’s counter. New kitchen equipment, dining and drinking bars, a dining room, and associated new MEP infrastructure were added. This restaurant, which opens completely to 18th Street, also features comfortable sidewalk seating.

C-WONDER | Retail Store in King of Prussia Mall

C-Wonder, a lifestyle brand that is outfitted with its signature bright-green logo and accented with colorful apparel, purses, jewelry, shoes and more, wanted a presence in the King of Prussia Mall. A complete fit out for this 4,100 SF store that included a new storefront, flooring, millwork installation, as well as significant MEP infrastructure upgrades.

HIFI HOUSE | Showroom

Hifi House provides high-end, exclusive home theater, media rooms, custom whole-house audio/video systems, smart home automation and control systems, telecommunication and networking systems for homes and businesses. New theatre, sounds rooms, simulated home environments and product sales showrooms were all featured in this project.

Unique construction methods were employed to provide adequate security in combination with Tiffany quality finishes. Years after constructing the original store, Wolfe Scott completed the expansion into the adjacent space.

GERMANTOWN FRIENDS | New Upper School Science Building

Guided by the Quaker values of community and stewardship, Germantown friends new Upper School Science LEED Gold Certified Building demonstrates a renewed commitment to these values while providing students and faculty with a state-of-the-art, light filled, and self-sustaining space to learn together. The building’s theme of “Science and Site” features Rain Gardens and Cisterns; Green Roofs; Solar Panel Arrays; Bio Labs & Chem Labs; Geothermal Heating & Cooling; Dual touchscreen dashboard on the first floor so that students and faculty can monitor, collect and store data from the building’s systems in real time; as well as a Vestibule and Upper Floor Gallery on the primary ground floor entrances for informal gathering space for students. PHILADELPHIA SCHOOL | The Early Childhood Education Center

The Philadelphia School is a co-ed, independent school educating children from preschool through 8th grade. A new main building entrance to the existing school and gateway from the neighborhood including entryway structures, landscaping, paving, ornamental fencing, signage, lighting and security was constructed. The second phase transformed a former industrial site into a new Early Education classroom building encompassing extensive exterior courtyard play and learning venues. The building achieved LEED Silver Certification.

THE PHILADELPHIA SCHOOL | Garage Conversion into a Performing Arts Multi-purpose Facility

Wolfe Scott converted an existing maintenance garage for The Philadelphia School into a new Performing Arts multi-purpose facility. The program includes the large multi-purpose performance space inclusive of sound/AV/ stage lighting systems, performance and arts teaching classrooms, practice and play rooms. Large overhead doors open onto a landscaped courtyard enabling indoor/outdoor performances.

WILLIAM PENN CHARTER | The William Penn Charter School, PRE-K School

William Penn Charter School identified an abandoned Church classroom and meeting space that was renovated into a new Pre-K program to include three new classrooms, an art room, an indoor activity room, and complete new MEP and Infrastructure.

FRIENDS SELECT | New Fitness Center and Locker Rooms

Fitness Center renovations include an office for the Athletic Director & Trainers. Additional renovations included new windows that look into the fitness center so that the trainer can watch and work as student-athletes rehab. New locker rooms and swimsuit dryers were added. Open showers were converted into six private showers with curtains, and the plumbing and lighting systems were completely overhauled. New tile and fixtures were installed, and the bathroom stalls received new partitions. Modifications make the space handicap accessible.

BRYN MAWR COLLEGE | Pembroke Hall East Façade Restoration

Bryn Mawr College’s Pembroke Hall, which consists of East and West wings, was originally completed in 1894. Many of its rooms still contain the original fireplaces and window seats. A structural renovation and restoration of the East wing included new structural steel, stone masonry, slate roofing, and associated interior finishes. Pembrook includes cafe food service, dining, student lounges, rest rooms, as well as meeting and student activity functions.

BRYN MAWR COLLEGE | Radnor Hall Dormitory

Radnor Hall is Bryn Mawr College’s smallest “traditional” residence. Located next to the Campus Center, Café and Bookshop, the building required a complete restoration of the building envelope and select structural modifications including stonework, a new slate roof, copper flashings, and windows. All work to Radnor Hall was completed during the 3-month summer break.

Bryn Mawr College Dining Services is recognized as a leader on its campus and in the industry for its highly efficient food service team. BRYN MAWR COLLEGE | New Entrance & Exterior Canopy/ Park Science Laboratory

Bryn Mawr College has an interest in creating a science facility that is welcoming, user-friendly and easy to navigate and one that proclaims the institution’s commitment to educating women in the sciences. Over 3 summers, multiple phased renovations to teaching and research biology laboratories were completed. Renovations included infrastructure and MEP upgrades and a new elevator. In addition, equipment upgrades were included: AHU’s, Exhaust fans, Lab gases, ATC, electrical substation/gear and fire alarms. A new lobby and the construction of a new exterior entrance canopy were also added.

ACADEMY OF NATURAL SCIENCE OF DREXEL UNIVERSITY | Butterfly Exhibit and Vivarium

This tropical garden in Philadelphia, Butterflies! is a permanent exhibit that features a lush, tropical garden filled with colorful plants and a multitude of live butterflies from Central and South American, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. This renovation included the construction of a new Butterfly Exhibit where humans meander through a Butterfly habitat that simulates various temperature, humidity, sun and environmental conditions. Also included is a Vivarium for breeding butterfly larva, and a multi-use space for meetings and seminars.

THE MEDICAL ARTS PAVILION BUILDING | Medical Office Fit Out

The fit-out for orthopedics medial office space within the new Medical Arts Building at Bryn Mawr Hospital inclusive of; Patient registration with integrated self-service technology, waiting lounges, exam rooms, nurses stations, radiology, physical therapy, administrative offices, and pods for doctor access to patient information technology. Also included were all new mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and information technology systems.

What was once an old warehouse is now “where the magic happens” when kids visit Cavity Busters. Renovations to the warehouse include a consultation area along with patient waiting areas that feature bright colors and arcade games, 17 patient chairs in themed areas such as “fast food” or “sports,” along with a hygiene room for cleaning, polishing and x-rays. Also included in the renovations are dental equipment and employee support spaces offices/locker rooms/ and conference areas. Integrated within the design of the space is the “Motor Mouth Museum.”
