Are you struggling with your household chores? Do you find it hard to find time and concentrate on the things that should be done and how often they should be done? If the answer is 'yes', then I hope this article will help you with this common for all of us problem. What you should do is get more organized in your cleaning. Make a schedule for the cleaning chores in your home. And you can even include the other members of the family. Include your spouse and kids, this way you will do more things quickly. If you are having troubles thinking of chores and things to clean in your home, get a pen and paper and go around the house writing down everything you think should be cleaned, and I really mean everything! After you have gone through all of the rooms think of the chores that are to be done outside in the garden. When you have all of the chores written down, take some time to do the schedule. Write down the chores and categorise them by frequency. Ones that are supposed to be done daily, weekly, monthly, even seasonal or annual. If you are going to be making a schedule, you might as well make one that encompasses every single one. This will make it easier for you in the future as well. Then, after you have categorised them by frequency, you can make other columns about who should do which. Write the names of your spouse and kids and assign them the chores they are going to do. There is a number of ways you can create the schedule. First of all, you need to make the chores for your kids age-considerate. If your kids are older, elementary kids or teens, you can assign them pretty much any chore. But if they are toddlers or preschoolers, you will have to give them easier ones. You can use your kids especially for the daily chores – tell them to make their beds, throw their laundry into the laundry basket, clean up their toys, maybe even dust their room, feed the pet, etc. If your kids are older, you can get them to help with most of the daily household cleaning chores. Clean kitchen counter and table, sweep and vacuum the house, dust, take out the trash, load and unload dishwasher, etc.

Some of the chores that can be done weekly are changing bed sheets, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning out the refrigerator or pantry, etc. Make sure that your chores schedule includes everything and everyone. Everyone contributes to the dirt in your home, why should you be the only one cleaning it. For your kids you can have a rewarding system. Or a table that you use to check the chores they have done. There are many ways you can get your entire family to take part in the cleaning process. Think about the strong sides of each person in the family and assign them the chore that will be most likely the easiest one for them.
