"A Better You"

7 days program to self-improvement I seem to lost count on how many times I've read and heard of celebrity marriages failing almost left and right. Not that I care (and personally I don't), it seems strange that we often see movie and TV stars as flawless people, living the fairytale life of riches and glamour. I suppose we all have to stop sticking our heads in the clouds and face reality. There are many ways to lose your sense of self-esteem despite of how trivial it could get. But whatever happens, we should all try not to lose our own sense of self. So what does it take to be a cut above the rest? Here are some of the things you can think and improve on that should be enough for a week. 1. Know your purpose Are you wandering through life with little direction - hoping that you'll find happiness, health and prosperity? Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own unique compass that will lead you to your truth north every time. This may seem tricky at first when you see yourself to be in a tight or even dead end. But there's always that little loophole to turn things around and you can make a big difference to yourself. 2. Know your values What do you value most? Make a list of your top 5 values. Some examples are security, freedom, family, spiritual development, learning. As you set your goals for 2005 - check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn't align with any of your top five values - you may want to reconsider it or revise it. The number shouldn't discourage you, instead it should motivate you to do more than you can ever dreamed of. 3. Know your needs Unmet needs can keep you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be right, to be in control, to be loved? There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed or even depressed for that matter. List your top four needs and get them met before it's too late! 4. Know your passions You know who you are and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but will not derail your chance to become the person you ought to be. Express yourself and honor the people who have inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.

5. Live from the inside out Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. For most of us city slickers it's hard to even find the peace and quiet we want even in our own home. In my case I often just sit in a dimly lit room and play some classical music. There's sound, yes, but music does soothe the savage beast. 6. Honor your strengths What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? List three - if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify these. Are you imaginative, witty, good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others. 7. Serve others When you live authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others your spirit - your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them. Self-improvement is indeed one type of work that is worth it. It shouldn't always be within the confines of an office building, or maybe in the four corners of your own room. The difference lies within ourselves and how much we want to change for the better.

"B" VITAMINS,

UNLEASH THE BEAST INSIDE YOU Vitamin b2: Helps release energy from foods. Essential for healthy eyes, skin, nails and hair. Their sources are: Whole grains, brewer's yeast, torula yeast, wheat germ, almonds, sunflower seeds, cooked leafy vegetables. The suggested RDA for vitamin b2 is unclear but The amount found in most multivitamin supplements is more than enough.

This is another vitamin article that I have written, but the only difference is that this one goes into more detail about specific vitamins. My previous articles do not do that. Those articles were more of a short introduction into vitamins, their role and their best food source. I'll start with 2 water Soluble Vitamins and 1 fat soluble vitamins. Water Soluble Vitamins: These are water-soluble vitamins that are not stored in the body and must be replaced each day. These vitamins are Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, Folic Aid, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin and vitamin C. Let’s start with the b vitamins: Vitamin B1 is needed to process carbs, fats, and proteins. Vitamin B1 is required by everybody to form the fuel the body runs on. Every nerve cell requires vitamin b1 to function properly. Wheat germ, peas, beans, enriched flour, fish, peanuts, and meat are all excellent sources of vitamin b1. People with advancing age, a poor diet and too much alcohol consumption may result in vitamin b1 deficiency. The suggested RDA for vitamin b1 is unclear but The amount found in most multivitamin supplements is more than enough. Vitamin b1 works hand in hand with vitamin b2 and vitamin b3.

Please note; be aware that vitamin b3 or Niacin, as it’s commonly known as, may cause a reaction in some people. Itching and or burning are two of the symptoms. The author of this article found that out the hard way. Fat-soluble vitamins: Theses vitamins are A, D, E and K. These vitamins are dissolved in fat and stored, therefore they are not needed every day in the diet. Over consumption of fat soluble vitamins may pose a risk of toxicity. Vitamin A: Vitamin a is a fat soluble vitamin and as mentioned before, should not be consumed in excess. For the maintenance of skin, mucous membranes, bones, teeth, and hair; eye sight. Their sources are: green vegetables, melon, squash, and tomatoes. Well that's it for this article. Look for more of my vitamin articles coming soon. The information presented in this article is for informational purposes only and is not meant to diagnose, treat or cure any disease or condition. This article is not a substitute for a health care professional. Please consult a medical professional before beginning any vitamin program.

ACNE SCAR SOLUTION After deciding visiting a dermatologist, you may wonder whether prescription drugs are effective for the prevention of acne as well. Experts say that all standard dermatological treatments for adult acne should also be used for prevention. If topical combination therapy of traditional medicine is unsuccessful, then your dermatologists may suggest that you begin taking oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, erythromycin, or minocycline while using topical creams. They may also suggest that you undergo some laser treatments just to get rid of those acne scars. Fortunately, there are other ways to do it naturally. There are skin care products these days that have natural ingredients and biological substances that are effective in treating acne scars as well. However, these acne scar treatments will be useless if you fail to identify the causes of acne. Chances are, it will only re-occur and get back to being a problem once again. So, it’s always better to identify its causes before you treat the acne and get rid of the scar. Some experts explain acne breakouts based on a psychological dilemma. They say that a persistent skin symptom can be a message from your inner self. Stress and an imbalanced diet may be triggering this skin problem. Avoid stress as it can trigger the accumulation of acne. Try saying no more often, it’s just like when your plate is full, don’t put more on it. Instead, practice finding some quiet time for yourself and try to rest more on weekends.

Indeed, there are no nippy fixes in treating acne and acne scars. It may involve a lot of processes and products which may vary depending on how you will utilize them or what your doctor will prescribe. However, the best part of treating them is to stay on the natural side. Use skin care products that contain biological substances and try to maintain a no stressed life. In this way, you will surely obtain that wonderful skin you had before. Bio Skin Care cream is a natural treatment for Acne scars due to its natural components. Clinical trials have shown that the best skin renewal and skin repair results are achieved when exfoliation of damaged cells is combined with SKIN REGENERATING ACTIVATORS. That’s why this cream will resolve your skin problems. Other reasons: 1. This cream also contains natural antibiotics that fights infection 2. It has natural skin regenerating ingredients that eliminates, if not eradicate, dark or red spots which causes the ugly appearance of scars. 3. It has glycolic acid that facilitates skin renewal. 4. It has vitamins that curbs swelling and irritation. 5. It promotes the elaboration of the two most important ingredients that facilitate skin renewal: elastin and collagen. These two are the one responsible in maintaining the moisture in the skin at the same time preserving its elasticity as the skin is on its healing process.

Your Subconscious Plays a Huge Part in Ending Binge Eating If you had the ability to design your life the exact way that you wanted to, would you? If you could create every detail of your life, how would that be? What if I told you that you have this incredible power within you? What if I told you that you could co-create your life to your exact specifications? Would you want to? Whether you realize it or not, your subconscious mind picks up on all of your positive or negative statements that you say or think about yourself. Think of your subconscious as a sponge. It soaks up tons and tons of information, some of which you are not even aware of. Everything that you come into contact with in your daily life gets absorbed into your subconscious and will stay there forever, as you are not able to filter through what gets to your subconscious mind. You may think questions to yourself such as, “Why am I so fat?” and your subconscious focuses on the fat part. It doesn’t hear the rest of the statement. It focuses on fat and that is what becomes programmed into your mind. Subconsciously you will keep feeding that part of your mind with the word fat being the focus. This is why it is so important that when people use affirmations to end their battle with binge eating disorder they are careful of what they say and think. By filling your subconscious mind with negative statements about yourself, you will get what you don’t want, even though that is not your intention. The subconscious mind accepts any and all information because it does not know any better. This is also why affirmations work so well: Your subconscious cannot distinguish what is real and what is not real. You must use this to your advantage and when you find yourself thinking a negative thought, it is imperative that you counteract that statement with a positive one immediately.

The main purpose of reprogramming your subconscious mind with affirmations is so you can change your current reality. What is it that you want in your life? What do you wish to attract in your life? How do you see your future in terms of binge eating? How bad do you want to stop binge eating? Since your subconscious mind makes up about 90% of your whole mind, can you imagine what can happen to your life by incorporating affirmations daily? Your dreams can start to become your reality. Binge Eating can start to become a thing of your past.

Affirmations can help with all areas of your life including: your fears, anxiety, personal development, and improvement with yourself. By adding affirmations to your life, your self-esteem and confidence will grow more than you can ever imagine… Or can you? Right now you may be at the lowest point ever because you binge. You are not happy in your life and wish to change. You want a happy ending, but are unsure of how to get there. Even though there are obstacles in overcoming binge eating disorder, don’t let that discourage you. Don’t focus on how long it may take. Take each day and live for that day. Focus on not bingeing that day and start positive affirmations. Remember that ending binge eating will come with the help of subconscious change. Notice what will happen to your life and welcome the new you with open arms!

YOUR BODY IS AN ENGINE The gasoline you put in your car has to be clean with no pollutants. If it is contaminated you will experience symptoms. Lack of power especially when needed like going up a hill, spit sputter and backfiring, your engines way of saying ”Help!!” I am not getting the nutrients I need and it may even stop running all together. (Bad, very Bad if this is your body.) To fix the symptoms, all that is needed (if you do this soon enough) is to purge the engine of the impurities and make sure that the new fuel is clean and proper. Your body is no different, if what you eat is contaminated you will experience the symptoms of being tired, no power, you can also spit, sputter (vomit), and backfire (diarrhea). Again the cure is as easy as giving the body the clean and proper foods it needs. AHH, but now you may ask what are the proper foods. Remember when you were taught that there were four basic food groups? We were instructed to eat from all four-food groups to get a balanced meal. 1. Dairy 2. Meat 3. Grain 4. Fruits and vegetables. Sounds easy EXCEPT

Growing up around surface coal mining and machines with engines, I learned a lot about how engines work and the basics that they need. Now today learning about nutrition I find some similarities. Stay with me here. It will make sense, I hope. The needs of your body are similar to the needs of the engine in your car. These needs are Fuel, Air, and Spark. By the way, you must have realized by now that I am a very simple minded person with a very simple mind. To simplify, this

YOUR DIET CAN AND DOES CAUSE ILLNESS. SAY WHAT? TED Have you ever suffered from one of the following? Indigestion, heartburn, tiredness, headaches, mood swings, aching joints, constipation, allergies, hypoglycemia, diabetes, high blood pressure, yeast overgrowth, just to name a few. The problem may not be just the foods you are eating, but what Foods you are mixing together that is causing a TOXIC CONDITION in the body, especially in the digestive tract. OH, now you have really done it. This is sounding too confusing. Learning about Nutrition is an in-depth study, but you can learn the basic do’s and don’ts. Here is one easy example, Fruits: The rule for fruit is to eat it alone or leave it alone. Don’t mix with other food groups.

Compare this: Your car engine needs fuel. So does your body.

I was taught very young that if you aren’t learning you are dying. Is it worth the effort?? When you first get up in the morning, are you still tired? Look in a full body mirror, look close, do you like what you see? Is your life abundant and healthy?

Your Chances of Surviving

CANCER Understanding cancer is not difficult if we start looking at cancer from the inside. The cancer starts in the cells, and Cells can break off from a malignant tumour and start to grow in another part of the body, this is known as a secondary tumour. Cells in these tumors are abnormal and divide without control or order. They can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs. Cells grow by dividing in half, such that one cell will become two, and two become four (these new cells are called daughter cells), etc . Normally, there are very strict rules as to when a cell can grow or not. Cells in benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body. Most important, benign tumors are rarely a threat to life. Cells deprived of oxygen die and decay, which is why some cancers have an odor. The term for this new blood vessel growth is angiogenesis. Obviously as you may know already, malignant tumors are cancerous. These tumors contain cells that divide and grow without order. Malignant tumors (cancers) can spread to other tissues or organs nearby or to other parts of the body. This is called metastasis . Malignant tumors are tumors that are capable of spreading by invasion and metastasis. By definition, the term "cancer" applies only to malignant tumors.Malignant means that the disease, if not treated, can progress and lead to death. Malignant tumors are cancer. Cancer cells can invade and damage tissues and organs near the tumor. Malignant tissues can invade and damage other tissues and organs. Cancer cells can then break away from the tumour and enter the bloodstream or lymphatic system, spreading the cancer to other parts of the body. The serious part of this is that malignant tumours metastasize to other organs of the body and continue developing unlimitedly.

In the other hand Benign tumors can often be removed by surgery, and they are not likely to return. Some tumors of the testicle are benign, but most are not. Benign tumors are not usually life threatening. Benign tumors, although they may cause some health problems depending on their size and location, are not life-threatening. Benign (noncancerous) tumors can also grow anywhere in your mouth. Benign tumors are welldifferentiated ---in other words, they differ only slightly in appearance and behavior from their tissue of origin. These tumors are slow growing and noninvasive, do not spread throughout the body, and will often have a fibrous tissue capsule around them. Treatments are related to a particular cancer’s usual behavior. For a cancer that is aggressive locally (where it is first detected), local treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, and photodynamic therapy may be used. Treatment depends on the kind of treatment the patient had when first treated. If the patient had surgery alone, the patient may have surgery again or radiation therapy. Radiation therapy destroys or damages cancer cells by targeting high energy x-rays to the tissues. Radiation therapy is usually painless and is provided in an out patient setting. Radiation is a special kind of energy carried by waves or a stream of particles originating from radioactive substances and delivered by special machines. These radioactive x-rays or gamma rays can penetrate the cell wall and damage the nucleus of the cell which prevents growth and division of cells.

WORKING OUT WITH BABY Decades ago, conventional wisdom led women to believe that they were extremely fragile during pregnancy. This meant halting all physical activities such as exercise and basically becoming a couch potato. Thankfully, today women know better than that. Exercise does wonders during pregnancy, because it greatly improves your overall health and wellbeing. It boosts mood, enhances the quality of sleep, reduces pregnancy aches and pains, and prepares you for childbirth by strengthening muscles and building endurance. This is especially important because during pregnancy and childbirth, a woman's body is subjected to a great deal of stress. Exercise also makes it much easier to get back in shape after your baby's born, and helps ease constipation, backache, fatigue, varicose veins, circulation problems and other health issues related to pregnancy. The most recommended exercises for pregnant women are walking, swimming, yoga, stretching, and low-impact aerobics. Pelvic exercises called Kegel exercises are also beneficial to the expectant mother, helping to strengthen the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor muscles support the uterus, bowel, and bladder; these body parts are put under pressure during pregnancy and childbirth.

Before beginning an exercise regimen during pregnancy, it is important for women to first consult your healthcare provider. This is to eliminate any possible medical conditions such as preterm rupture of membranes, pregnancy-induced hypertension, preterm labor, persistent second- or third-trimester bleeding, poor fetal growth, incompetent cervix or multiple-birth pregnancy which may preclude a pregnant woman from exercising. Women must also take care not to become overheated or dehydrated while exercising. An increase in core body temperatures in early pregnancy can cause fetal defects, and dehydration in late pregnancy is associated with premature labor. This can be avoided by drinking plenty of fluids and wearing loose, comfortable clothes. You must wear a brassiere providing full support to the breasts and shoes that provide cushioning for your foot or joints. A warm-up and cool-down phase should be included in any exercise regime, with an emphasis to gentle stretching to prevent muscle strain, muscle cramps and joint injuries. Knee joints are more prone to injury because of the pregnancy hormone relaxin, which softens ligaments and tendons. Avoid exercises on your back after the first trimester or whenever you feel dizzy, lightheaded or nauseated because the weight of your uterus puts pressure on the vein responsible for returning blood from the lower body to the heart. If you already had an exercise regimen prior to becoming pregnant, you can probably still work out at the same level during pregnancy, as long as your body is comfortable and your doctor gives his blessing. Generally, extremely vigorous physical activity is not recommended during pregnancy. This includes contact sports, such as football and basketball; adventure sports, such as water skiing and scuba diving; and sports that carry a high risk of trauma, such as horseback riding and downhill skiing. The best way to gauge if you are overdoing the exercise is if you experience symptoms such as chest pains and vaginal bleeding or uterine contractions. This is your cue to stop exercising immediately and seek medical advice.

Why You Should Get A

MASSAGE

I'm giving busy people everywhere permission to schedule a personal massage. Why? Because I'm alarmed by how few people I know that have taken the time to indulge in a relaxing and therapeutic massage. There are many reasons that you, no matter who you are, should be getting a massage regularly. One of the biggest and most obvious reasons that a massage should be a regular part of your life is because of how relaxing and stress relieving it is. We a all know that life is stressful and demanding. What you may not realize, however, is how much that stress affects your physical body. Massage is an amazing way to de-stress and unwind after a busy week. When life is stressful our muscles quickly reflect our stress by becoming tense and knotted up. A massage can release the tension in your muscles in no time. A massage will not only relax your body, but it will also relax your mind. There is no value that can be given to having a mind that is relaxed and at peace even in the midst of a chaos and disaster filled world. Massage can be therapeutic for your mind and allow you to focus again on what is truly important. Wouldn't you love to have an hour a week where your body and your mind were in a fully relaxed state? I promise you, a massage really is as good as it sounds.

There are many proven physical health benefits to getting a massage as well. Our bodies are constantly collecting harmful substances and toxins that are damaging to our health in many ways. One of the greatest benefits of a deep tissue massage is that it can help to release some of the harmful substances and toxins that have embedded themselves into our muscles. As the toxins are freed from our muscles we can flush them out of our bodies much easier simply by drinking a lot of water. The benefits of removing toxins from your body are nearly endless. Cancers and other serious health issues can be caused by a buildup of harmful toxins, so taking the time to get a deep tissue massage can be one of several ways to make your life healthier and longer. I simply ask anyone reading this to find someplace to get a massage and give it a try. A quick glance through your phone book or a quick online search will help you find a variety of massage therapists who would be happy to relieve some of your stress. Make an appointment and see how your life will benefit from an hour a week. What could be better than something that is healthy and feels great? Get a massage today!

Why You Should Wear Sunglasses There are many benefits of wearing sunglasses. You can cover up a hangover, create mystery or escape the paparazzi. The true benefits of this popular accessory are lost when fashion or other purposes take over. Protecting your eyes is the most important thing. It may not be your only reason. Sunglasses are a part of everyones life. Science has come a long way in correcting bad vision. Corneal transplants help a blind person see again and laser treatment can restore your eyes. But it would be better if we could fix the problem from the start. By simply wearing very good sunglasses, you reduce your dependence on these scientific breakthroughs later in life. These rays that the sun produces, called UVA and UVB can cause irreparable damage to your retina and corneas. You had to do so through a pinhole in a shoebox, if you've ever watched an eclipse. Staring into the sun can cause great damage to your eyes. Unfortunately, many people unknowingly allow their eyes to suffer the same fate by not to wear sunglasses. Disorders such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and even skin cancer around the eyes can be signs of sun damage. Thee are prevented by the use of sunglasses. Cataracts are an eye condition that involves clouding of the lens behind the Iris and Pupil. Studies have shown links between cataracts and increased exposure to ultraviolet light.

People with macular degeneration have a lot of trouble too. Often even faces are hard for these people to distinguish. Similar to cataracts, prolonged exposure to sunlight without the protection of sunglasses has been included as a probable cause.

The last time you got really sunburnt, think about ti for a second....You probably took cold baths and slathered yourself in Aloe Vera. You remember this was pretty painful simply on the skin. If it is so bad for your skin imagine what it is doing for your sensitive eyes. A pair of sunglasses can save your face in more ways than one, you don't really think about them as protecting your skin. Increased exposure to sunlight can cause skin cancer and will attach the most sensitive areas first. Sunglasses can reduce the risk of skin cancer in the eyelids and areas around your eyes. You will also get a decreased appearance of lines around your skin. Simply logic tells us that distorting the face in certain ways on a regular basis can cause premature wrinkles and increase the signs of aging. You squint when you don't wear sunglasses because your eyes are uncomfortable being opened under bright light. So therefore sunglasses help reduce getting crowfoots and wrinkles as you age. Try to imagine waking up tomorrow and not being able to see? Your eyes are one of the most important things in your body. A good pair of sunglasses will protect you against a world of eye disorders and pain. You need to protect your eyes, you need them every day, keep them safe!

3 Ways To Drink More Water After a little research it is apparent that nobody really knows where the saying that you need to drink 8 cups of water per day comes from. Some people trace it back to a study in the 1980's, and other people claim that doctors starting telling people that amount because it was a good goal, but didn't have any scientific research to back it up with. Either way, the point is clear, water does wonders for your body, and your brain. Water is well known to cleanse your body of harmful chemicals through your intestines and also throughout your urine tract. Without proper water intake, our bodies break down very quickly, in a matter of days. Without food, however, some people can live for a week or two. That just shows how important water is to our bodies.

Here are 3 quick tips for taking in more water. 1. Always have water available. I like to buy the 12 ounce bottles of water and keep them in the fridge. Whenever I go to the gym I grab a bottle. On my way out the door to work, I grab a bottle. Before a trip that will be 30 minutes or longer, I grab a bottle. When I watch a movie, I grab a bottle. Whenever I am sitting watching TV or a movie, I will keep the bottle in my hand with the lid off. I take a lot of little sips until the bottle is gone. A great way of making sure you drink more water is to make sure it is easily accessible. 2. Keep it cold. I don't know many people who like to drink room temperature water, I sure don't. If you keep your water cold, you will drink more. I make sure there is always ice in my freezer, this make it very easy to have a cold glass of water anytime. 3. Chose water in restaurants. Whenever I go out to eat, I always drink water with some lemon. The lemon adds a little spunk to the taste and the water is always nice, cold and refreshing. After a short time you will stop craving your old drink of choice and will begin to appreciate the taste, or lack of taste, that water provides.

Give water a shot and your body will be thankful!

Burning Issues on You've just eaten a big meal and leaned back in your favorite chair to watch your favorite TV program. As you begin to relax, your chest starts to hurt so much it feels like it's on fire. You may be experiencing heartburn. According to studies, about 30% of adults experience occasional heartburn, while 10% experience heartburn almost every single every day. Heartburn is common, and an occasional episode is generally nothing to worry about. However, many people have already considered heartburn as a uncomfortable condition that requires medication or medical attention. Heartburn usually follows after a heavy meal. To understand how this condition comes about, it is best to be aware of what exactly happens when we eat food. The food that is swallowed travels from the mouth to the stomach through a hollow tube called the esophagus. Before food enters the stomach, it must pass through a tight muscle at the lower part of the esophagus called the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES). The lower esophageal sphincter prevents food from traveling backward into the esophagus. Once in the stomach, stomach acid slowly digests the food. This acid is very strong and can damage most parts of the body. Fortunately, the stomach is protected from its own acid by a special mucous layer. The esophagus, however, does not have any such special protection. If the lower esophageal sphincter does not close completely, the lower part of the esophagus can be damaged by stomach acid. When this happens, heartburn is experienced. Heartburn can last for several hours and is often worse after eating, or when lying down, or when a person who just ate suddenly bends over. Heartburn is the most common symptom of reflux. Reflux occurs when acid in the stomach, which is there to help digest food, rises up into the esophagus, causing pain, irritation, and discomfort. Some other factors that can make heartburn worse include certain foods such as fatty and spicy foods, chocolate, caffeine, onions, tomato sauce, carbonated beverages and mint. Alcohol, large meals, lying too soon after eating, cigarette smoking, sedatives, calcium channel blockers and antidepressant medications can also trigger heartburn.

Heartburn, also called acid indigestion, is the most common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD); a disease in which stomach acid or, occasionally, bile flows back (refluxes) into the esophagus. Heartburn usually feels like a burning chest pain beginning behind the breastbone and moving upward to the neck and throat. Many people say it feels like food is coming back into the mouth leaving an acid or bitter taste. Most heartburn problems are mild, but if a person experiences frequent discomfort, there may already be some complications that need medical treatment or the use of prescription medications. If a person encounters heartburn several times a week, or if it returns soon after the effects of antacids wear off, medical attention may be necessary. A person with heartburn should also consult a doctor if he or she often wakes up at night due to discomfort brought about by reflux. One may need further medical care, or possibly even surgery, if a person experience difficulty swallowing, regurgitates blood or black material, suddenly loses weight, or if the stool is black in color. Most people can manage the discomfort of heartburn with lifestyle modifications and over-the-counter medications. But if heartburn is severe, these remedies may offer only temporary or partial relief. Heartburn pain can be mistaken for the pain associated with heart disease or a heart attack, but there are differences. Heartburn pain is less likely to be associated with physical activity. Exercise may aggravate pain resulting from heart disease, and rest may relieve the pain.

Burn FAT, Not Sugar! You are going to be pleasantly surprised! Most people think that in order to lose weight you have to do strenuous exercise, continuously, and lots of it! Well, Guess what? NOT TRUE! I know you are thinking? That's crazy! It doesn't make any sense! I thought the same thing, when I first heard this. But it all comes down to understanding how your body works. By exercising 20 minutes a day average, you can reduce your craving for the wrong kinds of foods that result from your life stresses. SO let's explore that concept of how the body really works! Your body has two ways to create energy. Your body can turn fat into energy, or it can turn blood sugar, glucose, into energy. But it can't do both at the same time. At any time, your body is either burning fat, or blood sugar. When your energy demand is low, your body burns fat. When you are walking, working at your desk, driving a car, and even sleeping - the demand for energy is low so the body is burning fat. But as soon as your activity levels increase - your body turns to blood sugar since fat cannot be converted into energy quickly enough. Let's take an example. You are walking down the street to the bus stop (burning fat), and you see your bus start to close the doors and ready to leave. You start running - and very quickly your heart rate and your breathing will increase, and your body will begin to burn blood sugar instead of fat. Constant strenuous exercise conditions your body to burn blood sugar, instead of fat. Wow! That is an eye-opener, isn't it? These types of strenuous exercises are great for the heart, lungs, and circulation, and you may want to do these AFTER you lose the weight. Until then, try anaerobic exercise that doesn't increase your heart rate. Try long, slow walks, because they are burning fat while you walk - but as an added bonus, you are conditioning your body to burn fat, opening up fat burning systems, burning calories, and building muscle.

Weight lifting is another great exercise for losing weight because it will build muscle and muscle burns fat. Yep, that's true. The more muscle you have the more fat your body burns every day. Don't get me wrong - I am talking easy weight lifting, such as with 5 or 10 pound weights, and limit this to about 20 minutes a day, every other day. Alternate walking and weight lifting during the week - take Sunday Off. It is really that simple! Start your walking program easy too. Start with 5 minutes out, and then come back. Over time increase to 10 minutes out, and then come back; then 15, then 20. 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back - 40 minutes total every other day. Then stay consistent! One of the biggest problems with strenuous exercise is that people sometimes injure themselves early on in the program, and then that's the end of it! All you need to do is walk and weight lift - light workouts. And once you have gotten started, do it consistently. This easy exercise program combined with a program of nutrition, information, and personal coaching can be just your ticket, to getting rid of those unwanted pounds forever.

Calcium: The Miracle Mineral We’ve heard it not only once or twice or even thrice but a lot of times. If you want healthy bones and teeth then pack up on the Calcium intake. While it is true that calcium is absolutely necessary to the health and strength of bones and teeth, this essential mineral also serves several other important purposes in the body. Yet, many people still routinely fail to consume enough calcium in their daily diets. In addition to the benefits to teeth and bones, calcium plays a role in blood clotting, muscle functions, and the cell membranes maintenance. It is also important to the prevention of debilitating bone diseases, such as osteoporosis. Despite the known importance of consuming adequate amounts of calcium daily, some research have found that as much as 75% of Americans do not have a sufficient daily intake of calcium. Comprising most of these numbers are those who are following strict vegetarian diets. Fortunately, there are several varieties of calcium supplements available on the market. Adults need between 1000 mgs and 1300 mgs of calcium per day and should not exceed beyond 2500 mgs as overdose in daily calcium intake can cause other health problems. Your health care professional can help you to choose the amount that you need daily as preexisting conditions, such as bone loss or damage due to previous deficiencies, can make a difference in how much you should be taking daily. The most common calcium supplements include calcium citrate, calcium carbonate, oyster shell or bone meal based calcium supplements, coral calcium, and calcium gluconate and calcium lactate based supplements.

In choosing your supplement, you should be aware of how to read the label to ensure that you are getting the amount of calcium that you think you are. Elemental calcium is the term used for the calcium that your body will be able to absorb. Some supplements have this and other types of calcium, but it is only the elemental calcium that can count towards your daily intake. Calcium is absorbed best in acidic circumstances, which is why many supplements are recommended for use after meals, when the stomach acids are at higher levels. Current research has found that calcium citrate is the most efficient of the supplements because it can be absorbed easily by the system. However, although it is absorbed easier and can be taken at any time of day, whether or not there is food in the stomach, this type of calcium supplement often contains less of the elemental calcium, and thus more pills daily will be needed. On the other hand, calcium carbonate is the most common over the counter calcium supplement. It has a special instruction though and that is it should be taken only after meals when there is increased stomach acid production. These, however, should be watched for sodium content. Calcium is needed by our system to enable us to live healthy and normal lives. Insufficient daily supply of this mineral in our body can lead to numerous health problems causing not only a lot of damage in the pockets but also an abnormal lifestyle. To avoid these complications and inconvenience, it is therefore essential to intake the right amount of calcium needed daily by our body. A little research and consultation with a nutritional specialist can help you to plan your daily diet so as to be able to obtain the healthy amount of daily calcium.

Can Eating More Often Actually Be The Answer To Losing Weight? For example, let’s take a typical dieter who skips breakfast, but who then eats 900 calories for lunch, 900 calories for dinner and 300 calories for a late night snack – for a total of 2,100 calories per day. This dieter falsely “thinks” that their intake of 2,100 calories per day is the deciding factor in whether they lose weight or not – but in reality the deciding factor is something totally different... The “deciding factor” lies in how many calories that they eat per “meal.”

It may seem like a “contradiction” to suggest that eating “more often” is the answer to getting slimmer, but in reality the idea of eating more often is the only way to speed up weight loss. Everybody understands what a calorie is -and everybody “knows” that the best way to lose weight is to begin eating fewer calories per day. Right? Well, not so fast... The problem with this way of thinking is that the human body does not burn calories based on a “24 hour day.” In fact, the 24 hour day is just an arbitrary interval of time, and it has no bearing on how your body burns calories. You see, the human body burns calories in “real time” -- or in other words it burns calories as you eat them (it does not burn calories based on a 24 hour day). This means that your daily caloric intake is almost meaningless when viewed all by itself.

For example, if that same dieter took those 2,100 calories per day and divided them evenly into 6 meals (350 calories for 6 meals = 2,100 calories) -- then their body would be able to burn much more of those daily calories throughout the day. Consequently, the dieter would seriously increase their weight loss results if they did this. Why is this true? Simple, because your body burns calories as you eat them, and if you feed your body too many calories at any single “sitting” then the excess calories from that sitting cannot get burned and may wind up stored as fat tissue. However, if you eat fewer calories per “sitting” then your body has a better chance to burn all of those calories, and if it burns all of the calories at any given meal then your body will be forced to begin burning stored fat tissue for any additional energy that it may need before your next meal (which equals fat loss for the dieter). So if you eat fewer calories per “meal” but increase the number of meals throughout the day, then you can begin losing more weight while still eating the same number of calories per day (you’ll just be doing it via a greater number of meals each day). So when a dieter uses this method of dieting the “overall calories” consumed each day would be the same, but yet the dieter’s body would be able to more efficiently burn those calories on a “per meal” basis – and thus the dieter will lose more weight each day.

Chamomile - A Natural Sleeping Aid There is no better feeling like ending a long hard day's work by lying down and crawling under the cool sheets of a soft bed, closing one's eyes, away from the harsh and stressful scenes of reality. For many people, the only time that they can be at peace with themselves and be truly alone is during the blissful time of sleep. There can be a number of things that might interfere with one's sleep. Stress due to financial or relationship problems, sickness, and even other unknown causes could make a person suffer from sleeplessness. For people who suffer from sleeplessness or even insomnia, the immediate source of relief is often sought in sleeping aids. Still, these people remain reluctant about using such medications due to known side effects. For them, the only thing that matters is to have normal sleep, and wake up in the morning feeling good and refreshed, ready for another day of work --- hopefully, without the need to use any chemicals or medicines the night before. So what are the alternatives to sleep aid medications? One such alternative is trying an all-natural option called Chamomile Tea. This kind of tea is recognized as one of the best all natural sleeping aid beverages in the market. The typical day at work comes with a big serving of stress. Millions of busy career men and women try to get through the day with a huge cup of coffee. The caffeine is supposed to keep them awake, alert, and ready for the challenges of the workplace. But after office hours, they can try to unwind by sipping the natural sleeping aid that can be found in a serving of chamomile tea. This tea is the perfect counterbalance for settling down the nerves before going to bed. Chamomile tea has been shown to work as a mild depressant, thus bringing the nerves down to a manageable level before trying to sleep. Adding to the depressant effects on the nervous system, this natural sleeping aid can help for those who are having a bad experience with caffeine which can wreak havoc on one's digestive system, leading to an upset stomach at night, particularly when lying down. Chamomile tea has properties that are known to settle the stomach, as well as the nerves.

There is a little disagreement within the scientific community as to whether chamomile provides the effects that have long been attributed to it. Either way, while they are all out to know more on the exact effects and properties, it woudn't hurt to give chamomile a try. There are few if any reports of adverse effects about this natural sleeping aid, so perhaps sitting with a warm cup of chamomile and finding time to relax would help. The best timing for a cup of chamomile would usually be a half-hour to an hour before one intends to go to bed. In addition to chamomile, try avoiding distractions and stimuli. Turn off the television, minimize interactions with other family members, and avoid other things distractive or those that are not conducive to sleep. Reading a book can also be an excellent way to stir up the sleeping hormones.

Yet another focuses on high protein, and says carbs don't matter... * Diet Let me give you this simple diet advice. Stick to low fat, low carbs and high protein. Many medical and weight loss studies over the last 10-20 years prove this approach. Many other diet myths come from way back in time, and look just plain wrong when analyzed with modern methods.

Many people work on their diet. Many people take aerobic exercise. But many people ignore anaerobic exercise, or weight training. What makes weight training so important? As you get older, muscle mass decreases. Muscle burns fat. So as you lose muscle, it gets harder to keep the fat off. Equally important, weight training can reshape your body. FATS AND THE BRAIN It is said that the brain is 40-60 % fat. So when we take fats out of our diet, our brain along with other parts of our body suffers. What we need to do is change the bad fats that we eat to good fats. Good fats nourish our body and keep us young and healthy. Good fats consist of: flax oil, extra virgin olive oil, salmon oil, fish oils, primrose oil, hemp oil and their combinations. Also eating raw nuts, seeds and avocadoes will provide good fats in the diet; the body cannot make them, they must be consumed.

Firstly, the good fats (efa’s) are a part of the structure of the cell membrane. They help form the barrier against viruses, bacteria and other foreign substances. This barrier also keeps important items in the cell, such as: genetic materials, proteins, enzymes and the cell organelles. What goes in and what goes out of each cell is also regulated by the cell membrane. It is said the health of the body is dependent on the health of its cells. These efa’s are also precursors of things like DHA, which is needed by the brain, as well as the adrenals and eyes. These good fats are used for energy production, oxygen use and electron transport, all of these of course is important to healthy brain function. Basically, without proper fats in the diet, our brain will suffer. Mental health is so important. Without good fats in the diet, the prostaglandins that regulate the neurotransmitters (the chemicals that transmit information from nerve cell to nerve cell) cannot be made. Mental illness can set in, conditions such as: Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Senility and other undiagnosed conditions, irritability, PMS, anger, etc. Essential Fatty Acids have a calming affect on the nerves and the body; hyperactive children are usually benefited by efa’s. Depression and aging are also helped by efa supplementation. To get more good fats in your diet, eat fish, raw nuts, seeds, avocadoes, green leafy vegetables and cold pressed oils: flax, hemp and their combinations. Never cook with these good fats, frying should be done with butter or coconut oil. Remember its not how much fat you consume, it’s the type of that counts.

How To Choose The RIGHT Personal Trainer

There are literally thousands of "personal trainers" in New York City alone claiming that they have the ability to help you with improving posture, bodybuilding, nutrition, coping with the stress of everyday life, sports specific training among many other things. While many of these trainers are without a doubt qualified to help, Far too often, a client will put him or herself in the hands of a trainer who may potentially do more harm than good. This article will briefly describe some things to look for when selecting a trainer. There are many factors to take into account when selecting a trainer. Education, practical experience and personality are some of the many things that may be taken into account but there are some basic requirements for any trainer. First of all, any trainer that you work with should either have a degree in a fitness related field or be certified by a major certification body. There are many "personal trainer" certification programs and the best ones are the NSCA, CSCS, NASM, ACSM, ACE. The trainer should also have current CPR training as well as insurance if they are not an employee of a health club. Another hugely important thing to take into consideration is your own personal health history. Are you injured or have any previous injuries? Any illness or disease? If there are any existing medical problems, you should make sure that your trainer has adequate experience and knowledge in dealing with it. Beyond those basic requirements, the rest is somewhat subjective. Personality is a huge thing to take into account. Some people want a drill sergeant, others want someone laid back. The best thing to do is sit down with any potential trainer, talk to them and try out a couple of sessions before committing to a long term package. Always be weary of anyone making claims that sound too good to be true because they probably are. This is by no means an exhaustive essay on selecting a trainer but a few things to look for in any trainer with whom you may potentially start working with.

NOT ALWAYS A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND People like jewelry --- it's an obsession that is practically based on instinct. People tend to like shiny things and, if done right, jewelry is very attractive no matter what the occasion. However, there are some caveats to be considered when talking about and deciding on the timely use of jewelry. Factors like lifestyle and finances are understandable deterrents to keeping jewelry around, whether in mass quantities or just a few select pieces. On certain occasions, for certain people, there are other potential problems. While an allergy to nickel is considerably minor as far as everyday medical concerns go, it can still get rather annoying if you're into jewelry. After all, nearly every form of jewelry on the market today has some amount of nickel in it. Nickel allergies can sometimes appear similar to a mild skin infection, though it is often readily noticeable that the signs disappear with time. The most common sign of the allergy taking effect would be the skin developing a deep red color in the area that had contact with nickel. Some of the surrounding area may also develop some redness. In some cases, the redness can also appear like a rash and may cause itchiness or mild discomfort. In extreme cases, blisters may form on the skin, usually with a lot of moisture or pus. The itchiness can become unbearable, depending on how much nickel was involved and how long the skin was in contact with it. On some instances, the itchiness can also lead to mild inflammation and may render the hands virtually unusable for a short period.

The allergy, sadly, has no known cure and can sometimes randomly occur. Like most allergies, an allergic reaction to nickel is completely random and may appear on someone who has never been allergic to it before. Prolonged exposure is not needed for someone to develop the problem, because even a short amount of contact with nickel can trigger an allergic episode. The allergy is actually fairly common, being considered among the most common causes for allergic attacks outside of seasonal factors. The exact cause of the sensitivity is still unknown, but nickelbased earrings and needles (used for piercings) often cause a reaction faster than anything else. The skin does not normally react the first time contact is made. In most circumstances, symptoms such as redness may not even appear for two days after the initial contact. Inflammation, particularly rare for this allergy, is often only apparent after nearly a week. There are some instances when the symptoms manifest within a short period, but this is typically the result of prolonged or regular exposure to nickel. Most cases of this occur because the person has a lot of jewelry on their person, or wears a few pieces for prolonged periods. There are exceptions to this, but the previously mentioned situations are considered typical. Statistically speaking, women are remarkably more likely to develop an allergic reaction to nickel than men are. This has traditionally been attributed to the piercing of the ears, which leaves those areas exposed to nickel for days at a time while the wound heals properly. However, going over the statistics over a period of time shows that the disparity between males with the allergy and females has been decreasing. Whether this is because of the increasing popularity of body piercings and earrings for males is still unknown, but it is considered the most likely cause. As it stands, there are no known biological or physiological factors behind the disparity.

OATMEAL: Neglected Food with Many Health Benefits

People nowadays are being conscious about their health and are beginning to incorporate exercise and different kinds of food programs into their daily routines. In the 21st century where the high protein diet and other food fads have ruled, less attention is given to the health benefits of oatmeal. Oatmeal is one the most nutritious and and quickest meals that can be prepared and packed with necessary nutrients. It is a healthy and versatile food because it can served with fruit, chopped nuts, apple sauce, and many more. In addition, this kind of brain is recommended to individuals who want to lose weight, maintain their weight, and live an active lifestyle. Individuals who wish to maintain an active lifestyle and improved health should include oatmeal in their daily food routines.

Oatmeal is rich in complex, energy-giving carbohydrates, low in fat, and high in water soluble fiber. Soluble fiber may reduce the levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or the bad cholesterol. Studies show that five to 10 grams of soluble fiber may decrease the LDL levels by about five percent. Eating one and a half cups of oatmeal significantly reduces one's cholesterol levels. Lowering cholesterol levels may then significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. This is because high cholesterol is linked with the development of plaques in the blood vessels. If these plaques grow too large, they may block the blood vessels and cause heart attack, stroke, and blood clots in the body. Aside from lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, oatmeal also contains selenium. This element works with vitamin E and acts as an antioxidant. Because of this factor, the selenium that oatmeal contains can aid in decreasing asthma symptoms, reduce the risk of colon cancer, prevent cell damage, and aid arthritis. Other benefits of oatmeal may include the following: Oatmeal is a good source of many vital nutrients like vitamin E, zinc, copper, iron, manganese, and protein It is fortified with B Vitamins which are known to reduce stress It is a great source of carbohydrate for diabetics because it raises the blood sugar very slowly by staying in the stomach longer.

It contains beta-glucan which boosts the immune system and increase its response to fight certain infections. It is high in calcium There are many ill effects that may develop if complex carbohydrates like oatmeal are not consumed. Individuals who neglect these food may suffer from low energy levels and gain unwanted weight and lead to obesity. Studies show that obesity is becoming an alarming health condition because of the fact that obese people have heightened risk of developing heart disease, sleep apnea, colon cancer, and high blood pressure. Despite the health benefits of oatmeal consumption, this food should also be taken properly because too much oatmeal consumption may cause more harm than good. Some health studies show that high consumptions of oatmeal may cause unwanted build-up and cause unwanted digestive problems. Individuals who wish to engage in healthy diets should consult nutritionists and other health professionals before making drastic adjustments in their eating routines. They may develop an eating program that consists of the right amounts of vitamins and minerals that are necessary to promote overall health.

Six Pack Abs – Get Sexy Looking Abs If there is one thing that most people are really looking for when they start to work out, six pack abs are it. This is the ultimate image associated with people who are in shape, and as such, you should not be surprised that most people spend a lot of time working very hard to achieve the perfect abdominal area. While this is not the easiest thing to achieve, it is not impossible. With some work, you should be able to get awesome abs and the six pack you've always wanted. Strength-Training, Cardio And A Low Fat Food Intake Create Enviable Abs The first thing that you should keep in mind is that no six pack ab workout plan will work for you unless you are definitely going to keep on working your abs out regularly and consistently. Make sure that you do a variety of both upper and lower abdominal exercises so that you develop the full six pack. With some hard work, you should be able to achieve the look you want. The second thing that you should realize is that these ab workouts will only help you if you incorporate a basic fat burning cardio program for 30-45 minutes, three to four days per week at 75% of your maximum heart rate. And remember that beginners will have to start slowly. After all, it is not physically possible to work off the fat in just one part of your body you have to workout in order to make yourself leaner overall.

Cardio fat burning exercises will help you lose fat instead of just muscle and water weight - which is not something that will happen if you just go on a regular diet. The third and final point here is that abdominal definition is seriously dependent upon diet. The abs are always the last place on your body to lose fat, thus you will have to be quite strict with your diet and meal plan if you want to have awesome abs – Just remember our little tip: EVERYONE has abs, it’s just that most people have a layer of fat over them. If you want to see them, you need to LOSE the fat!! The most important tip for a healthy, low fat food intake is to eat smaller, more frequent, nutritionally balanced meals. Divide all your food amongst six small meals per day (eat a complete meal every 3-4 hours) in order to have the food convert to muscle rather than fat. We recommend that you limit flour products like bread and pasta and replace them with complex carbs like brown rice and oatmeal. Cut back on fatty foods and eat lots of high quality (preferably organic) protein like skinless chicken, lean beef and baked or broiled fish. If you follow these basic guidelines you will be well on your way to unleashing your abs within and proudly displaying them on the beach some time soon!

What Works for Oral Health? Recently, within the last seven days actually, I purchased a HydroFloss. A what? Well, it is sort of like a high powered waterpik that uses magnetized water. Why? For starters, I'm tired of my dentist complaining about my gingivitis which has now become mild to moderate periodontal disease. Will a HydroFloss change that? I honestly don't know, yet. Based on what I've read about them, it may be possible. I'm a skeptic by nature though, but I'm also curious enough to try out different things. Sometimes that strategy works for me and sometimes it doesn't. I've had a lot of problems with dentists over the years. I don't believe that all dentists are completely honest. In fact, I had a dentist tell me that I had a 'trouble spot' that she wanted to drill into. I went to another dentist who didn't appear to detect any problem or any 'trouble spot' at all. That was after waiting six months. If there was a problem that was going to get worse, it certainly didn't do so. Another time, a dentist cheerfully suggested a root canal for a pain I was having in a tooth. I declined. In less than two weeks, that pain went away and never came back, without a root canal being done. That was about 14 years ago. I've heard stories from people who went to a dentist to be told that they had several cavities. Upon visiting a different dentist they were told they had none! I find this trend disturbing. I go to a dentist to maintain my teeth and gums and to make sure that I keep the teeth with minimal damage to the gums. So when unnecessary procedures are recommended, I find it a little annoying. I should be able to trust my dentist but instead, I view her much like I view a car dealership when taking my car in for service. Watch the wallet or get taken. I shouldn't have to feel that way about my dentist. But I do. One of the best sales presentations I have ever seen was that of a dental hygienist. She wanted to sell me a 'root scaling and planing'. During this procedure they anesthetize your gums and use metal instruments to scrape and scale along the root to remove plaque under the gumline.

I bet it hurts a lot when the anesthesia wears off. I was told this was the 'only' way to get rid of plaque under the gums. Since I declined the procedure, they wanted me to sign a waiver in case I lost my teeth as a result of not undergoing their prescribed treatment. I viewed this as another scare tactic. It also motivated me to find another solution. Like I said before, I have only had my HydroFloss for a week, but I like the results I'm seeing so far. When finished using it, I feel like my gums have just had a good massage and it only takes a few minutes to go over my entire gumline. I asked my dentist what she thought about the HydroFloss. She wasn't convinced that it was any better than a waterpik. I decided to try it. If my dentist doesn't like it, it might actually be good for me. I'm not interested in losing my teeth due to gum disease. I have always kept good care of my teeth. It seems that brushing and flossing are just not enough for most people to avoid periodontal disease or gingivitis. Brushing too hard can erode the gumline, precisely what I wish to avoid. I reason that if I followed the same old advice, I would get the same results. As for the HydroFloss, I believe I'm seeing a difference already, but I can't be sure. There are no double blind studies being conducted on my body. My results are subjective. But I think I'll know for sure in about a month. For now, I'm impressed. If you have any questions about what your dentists finds or suggests, you may want to get a second opinion. That doesn't hurt! This article is for information purposes only. It is not meant to offer advice, diagnosis, prevention or treatment of any health condition. Please see your dental or health care professional for proper advice, care and treatment.

WHY AIR BEDS MAY GIVE YOU THE BEST NIGHTS The secret to an air beds high comfort factor is its ability to spread the bodies weight and contact with the mattress in a more even fashion. Traditional mattress designs are more rigid and can force certain points of the body in contact with the mattress to absorb the entire weight of the body, creating concentrated pressure points that are uncomfortable and often out of natural alignment. Air beds have the ability to mold and shape to the contour of a sleeping body and were originally designed for hospitals and medical environments where higher levels of back support and reduced pressure points on the body were needed. Now this technology can be invited into your own bedroom to create a more comfortable sleeping environment. An air bed is basically a mattress that contains air bladders instead of hard steel springs. Air beds can often also be adjusted to suit the particular support needs of partners that share a bed, as each side usually has individual air bladder controls that can be adjusted. The adjustable dual air support chambers can provide just the right amount of back support and firmness on one side of a bed without disturbing the other side. Sleeping on an air bed can also provide better spinal alignment through the night, giving you a very comfortable and restful sleep.

Several air beds are endorsed by the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations as good for people with back backs and back support problems. In addition, air beds can help people with allergies by reducing the available nesting ground for dust mites. The traditional coil mattress is usually the largest breeding and nesting ground of dust mites in a household and can contain as many as 5 million dust mites feeding on skin particles that have filtered into the inner mattress core. With an air bed mattress system you do not have this problem, which can help improve your breathing while asleep.
