From 1954 until the defeat of the Americans in 1975, Ben Hai River marked the division of Viet Nam. The area extended 5km from either side of the river was declared a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) - a stark contrast to what really took place in this region. In fact, The DMZ was the scene of some of the heaviest and most bitter fighting during the Vietnam War in the sixties and seventies. Camp Carroll, the Rock pile, KheSanh, Hamburger Hill, Con Tien and A Shau Valley are names which still evoke emotions from the American public. Day 1: Hue - Quang Tri - Dong Hoi Depart from Hue City, transfer to Quang Tri to visit Quang Tri Citadel, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, lying in the Demilitarized Zone of the Vietnam War. Lunch at Dong Hoi Town. Overnight in Dong Hoi. (L, D) Day 2: Dong Hoi – Thien Duong Cave - DMZ - Hue Have breakfast at hotel, start visiting Thien Duong Cave with a length of up to 31km, the Heaven is considered a record length of limestone caves. In addition, by the limestone caves, stalactites easy creation, shaping fantasy...Have lunch at local restaurant. Visit Vinh Moc Tunnel.
