WOMEN’S GOLF UPDATE: April Month for Charity
BY KIM DANGELO & LAURA REEVES 18-HOLE LADIES CO-CAPTAINS
April didn’t bring showers but sure brought the dollars, thanks to Jean Devine for running Charity Day, and the Ladies who were so generous, we were able to raise $625 for Girl’s Golf at Lodi & Tokay high schools.
Team Play got under way this month, our first outing was cut short because of the weather, but still came out with good results. Woodbridge was the host of the second team play. Thanks to the volunteers, wait staff, Golf Shop, and the Food & Beverage Department for making the event a success. Thanks to Ginny Pelton for a great job running Team Play.
Donna Brundy was able to present Sondra Huff with her Captains book this month, this book is full of pictures, events, good memories all put together by Donna. Great job.
The 18 Hole Ladies will be hosting their first Guest Day at the end of the month, should be a fun day. If you’re interested in playing as a guest with the ladies just get in touch with a member, we can help you get on a team.
April went by so fast it’s time to start preparing for our first Major tournament, the Handicap Tournament, with our new format, only need to play two out of the three rounds to qualify, first two days with a shot gun start (no par 3’s please), tee times for the final round and lunch to follow. We should have a great turnout. Good Luck to everyone.
