How can we get young people taking on Leadership roles GROUP A      

16 + = helper! Not taken on leadership before 18 + Venturers and DFs Get them to do something they like! Opportunities Elfins/pioneers – play work, leading games etc.

GROUP B TEAM PLAYERS – includiogn everyone /considering everyone  Encourage oyoung people but not at the expense of everyone  Find different roles for different people (work collaboratively /don’t push people)  Support structure – slowly develop responsibilities in line with skills – help to recognise the skills they have  Not everyone has to lead Good leaders:  Porofessor Dumbledore  Arthur from Merlin (evolved leadership style)  Gandalf  Thoren Oakenshield  Katniss Everdeen  Skeeter (The Help) Leaders are:  Wisdom  Inspirational  Confident  Friendly  Approachable  Good listener  Communicator

             

Aspirational Charismatic Respectful (dual) Ability to adapt leadership style Unbiased when it matters Manage the mood Good timekeeper Insightful Emotive Empathetic Organised Energised Enthusiastic Archery skills
