Leaving a Gift in Memory to

Woodcraft Folk

“In Woodcraft Folk I’ve seen how relatively small sums of money can pay for the space and minimal equipment we need to give children really inspiring experiences, and empower them to make positive contributions to their communities. It’s essential youth groups like us can carry on doing this”

-Woodcraft member, London What is Woodcraft Folk? Woodcraft Folk is a unique and progressive movement for children and young people. Started in 1925, our charity is designed to develop self-confidence and participation in society amongst young people. We aim to build a world based on equality, peace, social justice and cooperation. We have over 300 groups meeting weekly across the UK that involve over 5,000 under 16s and 3,000 volunteers from all walks of life.

Help inspire a new generation of cooperators Our organisation is growing as a result of being well known and respected by young people themselves. Like many charities, we depend on donations to carry out our work.

What do we do?

If you are writing your will, you might be interested in supporting Woodcraft Folk by leaving us a donation. Leaving a legacy to Woodcraft Folk inspires the next generation of cooperators, empowers young people with the confidence to change the world around them and enables a greener future to be built.

Woodcraft Folk gives children and young people the opportunity to try out new activities such as nature study, hiking, camping, cooking over a fire, singing and storytelling. Camping and outdoor adventures encourage children and their families to lead healthier lifestyles. Woodcraft Folk works closely with Cooperative Societies and Trade Unions. We are the natural home for anyone who is against discrimination and for young people fulfilling their potential. We are open to anyone who cares about creating a better world full of international friendship. These factors set us apart from other youth organisations.

If you are mourning a loved one, especially if they shared our values, friends and family can choose to nominate Woodcraft Folk for a gift in their memory. Nowadays, many people prefer for flowers not to be bought and a charity to be supported instead.
