DESCRIPTION The RETScreen® Clean Energy Project Analysis Software is a unique decision support tool recognized internationally for the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. It is used worldwide by 250,000 professionals and developed with the contribution of numerous government, industry, and academia experts around the world. The software, provided free of charge, can be used worldwide to evaluate energy production, savings, costs, emission reductions, financial viability and risks for various types of Renewable energy and Energyefficient Technologies (RETs). The software also includes product, project, hydrology and climate databases as well as a state-of-the-art support centre. The international CPRee certification mainly focuses on RETScreen®’s energy efficiency module, which allows the evaluation of energy conservation measures on electricity and mechanical equipment, e.g., lighting, ventilation, refrigeration, motors, pumps, air compressors, and boilers. Training attendees will finally gain a sound understanding of the various analysis opportunities offered by the software, such as financial, GHG emission, risk, and sensitivity analyses. The training will include demonstrations and actual case studies to facilitate learning on the many practical ways to use RETScreen® and understand the potential of this internationally recognized tool. Even though the initial training and certification is particularly geared toward the use of RETScreen® through energy efficiency projects, participants will also have the opportunity to be introduced to other RETScreen® modules, including on renewable energy, allowing self-learning for many tools offered by the software.
