The Burson Auto Parts Hall of Fame has two new members, as we inducted Mark ‘Lefty’ Wright and Trudy Anderson at the 2024 Burson Auto Parts Gala Dinner hosted at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
Mark and Trudy have years of experience that back dates to the foundations of what make up Burson Auto Parts today. Their care, drive, determination, and ability to work through change sets the tone for Burson, and they truly hold the value of getting it sorted for our automotive industry.
MARK 'LEFTY' WRIGHT
Mark started with Motor Traders on the 22nd of September 1987 as a 17 year old API. Under the guidance of Peter Longbotham, Mark was given the opportunity to go on the road as a sales representative and never looked back.
In his 37 years with the business, Mark has seen out seven Managers and has witnessed the many changes the Automotive Aftermarket has seen over his time.
To this day, Mark covers a big territory spanning from Ceduna through to Whyalla and travels somewhere around 1000 kilometres per week. Mark’s runs had him stay away from home often, staying in Wudinna, Ceduna, Kimba and Whyalla on his runs were known as Wright - the local Pub in Wudinna has a spot in his honour at the Burson Stubby Holder Bar.
Mark’s dedication to our customers has been a hallmark throughout his tenure at Burson and his commitment to helping customers our with all their needs is unparalleled.
Soon after she moved into the accounts receivables department and the organisation has been in safe hands ever since. Her willingness to make sure deadlines are being met to ensure Burson keeps moving is unparalleled, and the joy she brings to the team is amazing.
Passionate and committed, Trudy has a knack for saying it exactly like it is, no fuss, no frills. She’s also seen a lot of changes over the years, being a part of the rich history that has made up Burson Auto Parts for over 50 years.
Known for no-nonsense approach, and the way she brings her big-hearted personality to work every day, Trudy has been an everpresent force at Burson Auto Parts.
Our team is extremely proud to see Trudy become a 2024 Hall of Fame inductee and further conclude that her legacy serves as inspiration to all within our industry.
