Do you have a suggestion for a historic plaque? All the plaques listed in this guide have been installed based on community suggestion. If you’d like to make a suggestion or to find out more about any of the plaques listed in this guide, visit: woollahra.nsw.gov.au/ library/plaque

Don’t miss these while exploring Paddington North: Check out one of the best-known examples of military architecture at Victoria Barracks (enter via the Pass Office, Moore Park Road). Paddington South: Enjoy a picnic or some takeaway from a nearby café in the grounds of the immaculate heritage-listed Paddington Reservoir Gardens (251-255 Oxford Street). Woollahra: Enjoy a break, a bite to eat, or browse the shops in the village-style shopping centre clustered around Queen Street. Double Bay: Enjoy a break a Redleaf Café, a swim in Murray Rose Harbour Pool, or wander around Blackburn Gardens (all at 536 New South Head Road). Rose Bay: Visit the Rose Bay War Memorial in Lyne Park or Bungaree Reserve named in memory of one of the most discussed Aboriginals of the early 19th century. If you have time, the Hermitage Foreshore Track is one of Sydney’s great coastal walks. Watsons Bay: Visit the small but beautiful harbourside Watsons Bay Library and enjoy a break at the neighbouring Tea Gardens (8 Marine Parade), or historic Dunbar House nearby in Robertson Park.
