Welcome to Wooster Class of 20041 Working on the New Student Directory gave us a few headaches, but reading your responses and getting to know the incoming class made it worthwhile. We appreciate those of you who replied; we had a great time reading your funny remarks. We could not have done this without the help of so many people. We would especially like to thank Gloria in the Dean's Office, all those helping from the Admission's Office, Carrie Lippert, James Foster, Jerome Hall, Liz Farina, Elizabeth Kriynovich, Carey Speros, Doug Brown (for laying on the couch giving tips) and anyone else we may be forgetting. Your help made this possible. Thanks! We hope you enjoy reading about your classmates and get to know each other better. We also hope you learn to love Wooster much as we do. To all the upperclassmen who are hoping to use this as a tool to met attractive first years, good luck. There are a lot of great faces to choose from! Enjoy! What is the craziest thing you have ever done? Selected Responses:
Doing flips off of my dresser onto my bed when I was little. Drank Ovaltine. Pixie Stix powder up my nose. Don't ask. If I told you, I'd have to kill you. I stole and held hostage several items belonging to my AP Economics teacher and left ransom notes in hopes that it would motivate him to grade and return essays of mine that he had procrastinated on for 6 months. Occasionally, I leave my house. Either breaking into one of my friend's houses with another friend, using her pool and car all week (without her knowing) or skipping chorus class 42 times. I hid the bodies. Gone skinny-dipping with a friend and snapping turtles. I came into this world naked.
Words of Wisdom to fellow classmates Selected Responses:
Be where you are when you're there. Take it easy and remember we're all in this whole Independent Study thing together. Don't skip any class 42 times. Trust me, you cannot get away with it. Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. Never pet a burning dog. "Dream as though you'lllive forever; live as though you'll die today." -James Dean Someday they will say we are all crazy, so you might as well get a head start and beat the Christmas rush. Don't settle The world is full of cactus- sometimes you sit on one, but it is up to you whether you're going to pick the thorns out of your butt or not. Think of what you have instead of what you want. Do nice things for people and don't tell anyone about it. Take things that happen lightly. Don't hold grudges; they will tear you up. To dream of the person you wish to be is to waste the person that you are. Avoid strangers- introduce yourself. Great achievement involves great risk.
They responded to the following questions: I. What three words best describe you? 2. If you could have the wardrobe of any TV or movie character, whose would you want? 3. What was your favorite cartoon when you were growing up? 4. If you could put only one thing in a time capsule, what would it be and why?

Sincere, honest, diligent. Man Dillon in "Something About Mary." Tom and Jerry. My first love's father's business card. I mysteriously found it between a textbook in school and it's what I remember her by.
Insightful, winy, and creative. Michael Douglas' character in Wonder Boys. Danger Mouse. A random big-city newspaper, because it would allow future generations to see what events were imponant and interesti ng to people of this time.
Spencer Wyau Perry Township (Massillon), OH Perry High School

Honest, outgoing, trustworthy. Tek, from the Real World. Heman, Masters of the Universe. Michael Jordan rookie card. The probability of me losing this card would be diminished when I put the card in a place that no one has access to for a long time. Theo K.M. Thwing Ebensburg. PA Central Cambria
Comedic, open-minded, energetic. Audrey Hepburn's character in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Inspector Gadget and The Muppets. Copies of my favorite comedic movies so people could enjoy the same humor in them as I did.
