F r o m 2 Ric e St r eet The golf course is down to one hole open and member activity at the club is declining, but we are busy with construction and maintenance projects to improve the function and esthetics of the club. The flat roof over the Ryder Cup Room and Grill Room was completed last week, eliminating the leaks we have seen during this season. New carpet in the Ryder Cup Room, Entry, Grill Room and Tee Room has been installed. This completes the project of replacing or restoring 100% of the floor on the main floor of the Clubhouse. Last winter the hardwood floors were refinished in the Living Room and Library. The big project “Hanse Plan” continues as I write this. We are still slightly ahead of schedule, which allows the turf a little extra grow in time before spring opening. The construction has moved to the front nine and work can be seen from the clubhouse. Some new pictures taken today are featured. Thank you for your patience throughout the construction phase, we are all in for a special treat next year when the course is ready for play. Please keep the club in mind for your dining and holiday party needs. We are open and our holiday event schedule is vibrant!

Hole #3 – back right of green. When removing the two mounds to the right of the green, we discovered the original bunker sand from a greenside bunker located at the back -right of the green. This original bunker will be restored.

#18 Green – Bunker restoration to the original design. Bunker faces were packed with over two feet of bunker sand splashed onto it over the past 110+ years.

#18 Front Bunker – looks menacing up close! With the removal of the bunker splash, the shot will actually be somewhat easier.
