From 2 Rice Street

I recently attended the Club Management World Conference and had a chance to network with many fellow General Managers. One topic that everyone is talking about is golf course renovations, whether they have completed one or are just starting one. From our conversations I have determined that WCC completed our project at the right time, with the right architect.

Many clubs are faced with new cost estimates that are sometimes twice as much as original estimates if they delayed on starting the project. Also the prices mentioned for the scope of work done leaves me to believe that we maximized the value of our project.

The mild winter weather was perfect for turf recovery from the project! Adam and his team believe that we have 9 holes ready for play next week. As additional holes are ready, we will open them similar to the way we shut down holes last fall. Please help us take care of our new course by observing the following:

*Bunkers – enter and exit at the flattest portion of the bunker. Do not climb up steep bunker faces.

*Rake Bunkers – common course etiquette.

*Carts – follow cart rules for the day and keep carts well away from greens.

*Divot – replace them, not only will the turn grow back, but you will eliminate divots littering our fairways.

*Ball Marks – repair one or more on every green, even if you did not make them.

Looking forward to seeing you on the course soon!

Drop off Mailbox

In order to make it more convenient and secure for Members to drop off their payments at the club, we have installed a mailbox in the entry way across from the coat storage area in the Ryder Cup Room.

If dropping off your payment is your preferred method of delivery, this will save you from seeking out the correct person or area to leave your check.

*Note: If interested in signing up for Auto Pay, the convenient and primary method of making your payment, please contact the business office to enroll at 508-853-8064.
