WELCOME FROM YOUR CAMP WCC DIRECTOR! Hello Campers and Families, My name is Haley Dwinell and I am the new director at Worcester Country Club. I look forward to meeting you and for us to have the best summer yet! Prior to being a kindergarten teacher, I worked at the Greendale YMCA as a camp counselor. To me, the best part of camp is the friendships that are made. As a camp counselor, the one thing I looked forward to the most each summer was seeing the excitement on a camper's face when they learned something new. There are so many different aspects I love about working with kids - I love that no single day is the same. You never know what to expect each day and it keeps you on your toes. The second aspect is being able to see the process of a child become aware of their full potential. Lastly, I love seeing a child smile while they are enjoying a new activity. I am thrilled to be able to show you and your camper my passion for camp. I received my Bachelors of Art in Human Services from Anna Maria College in 2016. Recently, I obtained a Master's of Science in Education from Bay Path University where I was a part of Kappa Delta Pi. Many of my previous endeavors have pertained to influencing someone’s life in a rewarding way, which to me isn’t a job, but more an enjoyable life path. Currently I am a kindergarten teacher in Shrewsbury, MA. I look forward to walking into my classroom every morning and getting fifteen high fives. The best part is each high five comes with a unique dance! When I am not in my classroom you can find me outside either hiking, biking or running. I like running so much that just last year I ran a half marathon in Walt Disney World. Some other things I enjoy are reading about tropical islands, playing with my dog, and swimming. One thing you should know about me is I am a track and field coach for Special Olympics Massachusetts. My favorite part about being a coach is seeing my players having fun. I cannot wait for camp to start and to meet you all. I am counting down the days until we meet one another. I hope you are ready for some sun and a lot of fun, because I know I am! See you at camp!
