design that reflects the freedom and mobility people seek in today’s office. Antenna Workspaces begins with a simple structure that grows to support a variety of work settings: desks and tables combine with storage and screens to create intuitive solutions for individuals and groups. Antenna Workspaces suggests connections and boundaries between diverse work areas and establishes a new way to shape space. Work today requires continual shifting from one task and type of work to another—from focused projects to shared and team activities. With planning approaches for private offices, open plan and common areas, Antenna Workspaces serves the entire office to support a variety of practical workplace needs throughout the day. Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger of Antenna Design created a simple structure that can be easily transformed to maximize use and flexibility with a minimum of parts. Combining a rigorous standard of functional simplicity with a pure, honest approach to materials, they have designed a state-of-the-art workplace experience that is as collaborative and dynamic as it is logical and efficient. a simple approach to a complex world Antenna Workspaces table desks and storage elements create highly efficient focused work areas for open plan environments and private offices. Antenna begins with a simple structure—the table—that is inherently collaborative. The top rests on a base composed of two steel end legs and two tubular rails that span between them, linked by cast aluminum cradles. The result is an extraordinarily strong table.

building spaces with linked desks

Antenna Workspaces desks link to define efficient shared work areas. The Antenna table is transformed into a desk with the addition of storage, screens or power components. Desks can be linked side-to-side, and perpendicular return surfaces can be attached at any point to form L-shape or U-shape arrangements. Extended rails support storage cabinets above or below the worksurface. Antenna Workspaces storage elements, including freestanding cabinets, suggest boundaries without blocking visual access.

big tables for team work

The Antenna Workspaces big table works as an adaptable collaborative setting. Back-to-back desktops with shared legs can be linked to support groups of any size in open plan environments, touch-down spaces and meeting areas. The compact center beam supports screens, cantilever shelves, storage cabinets and monitor arms to transform a meeting table into a cluster of individual work areas. Return surfaces can be attached at any point, and extended rails support extension tops or storage cabinets.

planning with fence for enhanced flexibility Antenna Fence bridges the divide between individual, focus areas and dynamic group environments. Antenna Fence is a freestanding spine that defines boundaries and distributes power and data cables. Fence supports screens, stanchion mounted storage and desktops to create settings for focused work. Alternatively, freestanding Fence can allow the desks to be independent and moveable to support the changing needs of a team.

The Template storage system plans as a storage wall that defines the perimeter of a workspace. TM

Because of its compact depth and equal access on both sides, Template can serve as a storage spine providing privacy between Antenna desks or defining the boundaries of diverse work areas. Antenna desks can be supported from any height of Template storage, in the open plan as well as in enclosed spaces.
